Quality bonding time after a quick jog around the block.

I've relied on PeeWee's Play Dates for all my in-home, pet sitting needs for several years. They are terrific! Kelsey and Carissa never miss a thing when it comes to my fur kids. They follow care instructions to the letter, elevate play time to include massive one-on-one quality time with each pet (regardless of how many), are in tune with the emotional needs of our furry ones, and send periodic updates via text and photos while I'm on travel. PeeWee's is first class in my book and I highly recommend this service for all your pet sitting or walking needs!

Rusty loves his daily lunch dates with Carissa and Zach! They leave detailed notes everyday and let us know how the walk went. Carissa always let's us know if Rusty has a rash or allergies (bad skin) or any other behavior that is out of the norm. Kelsey is great and super flexible if we need to cancel unexpectedly. Prices are great. Rusty is happy! We are happy!

Proof! Back of 1 of the checks that Kelsey or her employee signed proving I was a client even though Kelsey lied about me not being a client

I am a past client of PeeWee's Playdates as I have received services from them more than once - (despite the owner lying by saying otherwise). With that said, I have rewritten my review due to the additional unprofessionalism I have experienced again from PeeWee's / Kelsey, and my additional comments have been added in the last paragraph covering how the business owner, Kelsey, commented on my review by lying about giving me services (which she has given me more than once) and how she has harassed me via messages. I honestly do NOT want to give this agency one star...I would prefer to give zero! I am just appalled at their lack of professionalism...and to be fair I should not say "their" because the incompetence and unprofessionalism came from one person named Kelsey. I arranged to have a petsitter, and the sitter informed me that she would send me emails (while I was on vacation) to keep me up to date about my pet. Unfortunately, while I was trying to enjoy my vacation the petsitter kept sending me emails about how my pet does not respond to her, etc. and the emails were very rude and unprofessional. I was irritated in her lack of competence to handle the situation as a so-called "certified petsitter" because she originally informed me that she knew how to handle all pet emergencies/issues but apparently not! I was also irritated with the fact that the sitter my pet had before was not the same one doing the petsitting this time around because everyone knows that it takes some pets a longer time to warm up to new people...duh! Isn't that Petsitting 101? Well due to the countless annoying, incompetent emails she kept sending me while I was on vacation I simply responded to her one last email then immediately blocked her from my email account because she was being a nuisance, so I don't know if she responded to me or not because she got blocked and I flagged her as spam. Lol all I know is that when I got home from vacation I saw that she left a long note on the table, and I tore it up and threw it in the trash without reading it because I did not feel like dealing with her lack of competence any longer...and besides I was tired from my plane ride and did not feel like reading the essay that she wrote. If you are looking for a petsitter that is responsible and skilled to handle all animal situations and if you're looking to not be harassed by your petsitter while you're out of town then do NOT rely on PeeWee's Playdates. Instead, go through a Petco-sponsored agency like I do now. They are SO much more reliable and highly trained in all pet situations then these privately-owned wannabe petsitting companies like PeeWees. As a business, it is the responsibility of the employees and owners to always remain professional and ethical which means that they should not lie or harass current or former clients! Well, Kelsey (employee/owner of PeeWee's), has taken it upon herself to contact me via her personal Yelp account to message and harass me when I have already expressed that I do not want any communication and no further services from her or her company. She then took it upon herself to lie and state that she never provided me petsitting services when she has provided this service to me more than once, and I have all the online transactions to prove it! I am not sure why Kelsey thinks that harassing a former client and lying about providing services is proper business etiquette. However, as an agent of PeeWee's (or any entity) if a client is not satisfied with your level of services then it's that employee's/owner's responsibility to apologize and remain professional. I think that this employee's lack of maturity and lack of business etiquette is to blame for her continued unprofessionalism and dishonesty; however, that is no excuse! Because if you choose to own, operate, or be employed by a company than it is your responsibility to remain ethical at all times. Kelsey, also messaged me stating that I have her business confused with another - um, yeah right! Sorry but there is no other PeeWee's Playdates in Orange County with an employee named Kelsey! So no confusion at all but nice try! As noted my HEADLINE and other yelpers headlines insinuate - "it's best to be nice cause you never know who is a yelper!" Yelp was created so that customers could review companies in a good or bad but honest manner. I choose to exercise that right. When a business receives a good review that is great, and when a company receives a bad review that is also okay because sometimes employees do not do their jobs accurately or are highly unprofessional... and due to that it is their responsibility to try to make it right with a customer as opposed to lying or harassing them. With that said...I do not recommend this petsitting company at all. I believe going with a Petco-sponsored company is much better than dealing with a privately owned company since the level of responsibility and skills are higher.

I don't have the easiest, nor friendliest of dogs. One of them in particular hates strangers and is pretty high maintenance. So needless to say, I was a bit worried about finding a dog sitting service. My worrying quickly faded when I saw how much my two pups warmed up to both Felicia and Kelsey. During trips she sends a bunch of pics or videos of everyone playing and they just seem so happy. It really takes the guilt out of those occasional trips where we can't take the dogs. During the week when I'm at work either Felicia or Kelsey come by for 20 minutes for potty breaks and play time. Felicia leaves really cute notes that I love reading, tops off their water and cleans up their potty. I really don't know what I would do without them.

We contacted Emily at the end of May and fortunately she was available for all three days we would be out of town. As always, Emily was superb and provided purr-fect service to our cats. Nine out of ten cats (instead of the usual six out of ten) were present, and Emily was able to properly care for all of them. It's not an easy task at all taking care of 9 cats alone but Emily manages it without complaint and really takes the time to make sure everything is done for them during each visit. She also texts us during each visit with updates: who ate, who didn't, what was done, etc. We also very much appreciate how during this trip Emily texted with questions when I forgot to mention which flavor pf wet cat food to give them for lunch, or when I forgot to leave out one of our cat's meds. It's rare to find someone who provides good service, and even more rare to find someone who provides superb service. Thank you, Emily, for once again being there for us and for our cats!

My next-door neighbor who was much younger than me, adopted a puppy from One of a Kind Pet Rescue in November of 2023. I realized that I still had a lot of cat toys, a scratch tower, and a nearly new litter box just sitting in my basement that I was still holding onto. By the end of December, I asked my neighbor about One of a Kind. She highly praised the care they gave to animals and even drove me there when I had looked online and chosen a sweet kitten named Sterling to adopt. Sterling just turned 9 months old yesterday and he is truly a joy. If you're thinking about adopting a pet please do so. One of a Kind Pet Rescue surely has just what you're looking for :)

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE.... Extremely emotionally, mentally, physically, and costly experience --…read morePlease Ask Questions Before Adopting I adopted a 10-week-old puppy, Miso, formerly "ELLA", from One of a Kind Pet Rescue , Akron, Ohio- on 10/16/26. 3 days later, Miso began vomiting, and our family was horrified to learn that she tested positive for parvo virus, a potentially life-threatening disease that is highly contagious, that can require extensive veterinary treatment. My other dog , Shayla, also began vomiting and both had to be taken to the vet the next day. Shayla was exposed and remains at risk, but fortunately, tested negative. They remain quarantined from eachother for 14 days, both continuing treatment. I have had to deal with the emotional stress of potentially losing a new family member, or both of my pets, and exposing my current dog, as well as a huge treatment bill. Misos monoclonal antibody treatment, additional veterinary concerns, and the huge task of isolating the puppy and disinfecting the entire home to protect my other dog and cross- contamination. I cannot go around anyone with dogs, as this is carried on clothing, shoes etc. and the only way to kill it is through bleaching everything being exposed, clothing, bedding, toys, blankets and shoes. My vet informed me the symptoms usually occur 4-5 days after exposure. Please note, my Miso, "ELLA", came from Kentucky and was received on 10/10, spayed on 10/13 and I adopted on 10/16. I was also informed puppies need to be quarantined for 2 weeks. To make matters worse, she was first vaccinated at approximately 5 weeks. My vet informed me that the mother's antibodies attack this vaccination and it is ineffective as well as the vaccination given two weeks later. They gave the additional two vaccinations two weeks apart?! My vet said the schedule should be as close to 8,12 and 16 weeks as possible. I made sure Shayla had her vaccinations, previously, thank goodness, and was considered immune, prior to adoption of Miso. What made an already upsetting situation worse.. was my phone call to the rescue, "MARISSA". I raised concerns and asked questions about the safety of the other dogs in the facility and Miso's vaccination history, and the response I received was rude and dismissive rather than compassionate or helpful. I was told that the puppy had received all three shots despite being only 10 weeks old. SHE NEVER EVEN ASKED ABOUT ABOUT HOW MY DOGS WERE !! I understood that puppy vaccinations are administered on a schedule, with doses spaced apart, and that a completed series at that age would be unusual. I wanted clear answers and reassurance, not an argument. I understand that animals can become sick, and I am not claiming that the rescue knowingly adopted out a sick puppy. However, when an animal becomes seriously ill shortly after adoption, transparency, accurate medical records, and respectful communication are the bare minimum adopters should be able to expect. Please do your homework before adopting. Ask for copies of vaccination and veterinary records, confirm exactly which vaccines were administered and on what dates, and make sure you understand the rescue's policies if a newly adopted animal becomes seriously ill. A rescue's responsibility should not end when an animal leaves its facility. How an organization responds when an adopter is facing a frightening and expensive medical situation says a great deal about its commitment to the animals and the families who take them home. I sincerely hope this experience leads to better communication and greater transparency for future adopters. I for one will NOT be back at this facility based on the response of such a serious situation. I AM VERY MUCH WORRIED ABOUT HER BROTHER " CINDER", ESPECIALLY ,AS HE WAS IN THE SAME CAGE AND ADOPTED OUT AT THE SAME TIME. I WAS TOLD HIS FAMILY HAS BEEN NOTIFIED? The other dogs around my Miso on 10/16, as well. Please reach out via fb if you have any questions-or would like the paperwork for verification - Valerie Fink.
