I was not feeling well, so I scheduled an appointment at EMA. I called at 10 am and was able to get…read morean appointment at 1 pm. I was so grateful. When I arrived the receptionist was on the phone with another patient, so she did not greet me or acknowledge that I arrived. The one finger signal would have been sufficient. After she got off the phone she asked me to come to the desk. I had not been there in a while so I needed to fill out new forms. The clinic aide was very sweet, however she told me that my blood pressure was very high, 160/80. I was scared, my blood pressure had never been out of normal ranges. When Dr. C arrived in the exam room he seemed not interested in my concerns and I had to ask him to verify my blood pressure. He checked my blood pressure again and said it was normal. Next the clerk that accepts the co-pays had an attitude. I left the office feeling confused. Do I have high pressure? I had to go to a pharmacy and use one of those blood pressure machine to verify my blood pressure. I discovered that I am pre-hypertension. I will never go again.

MDVIP offers nothing to justify the additional cost and, no matter how loyal you are to her, if you can no longer afford it, she will drop you without exception. She made an incredibly poor judgment call about the severity of a TBI from a fall and the delay in getting competent care from a neurologist complicated my recovery. Her claim that she is available by cell phone for emergencies is meaningless when, on the two times I called her, she just told me to go to the ER. Don't even bother filling out the lengthy annual questionnaire- she doesn't read them. I deliberately put in two red flags about issues I was having and she never even addressed them. You can get better care from another Board Certified internist. Even if you are not on Medicare, call them. A Medicare nurse will help you locate a reputable internist in Monmouth County.
