Couldn't be happier! An amazing photographer at a great price. I don't write a whole lot of reviews, but when I do there's a reason, for better or for worse. My fiance and I recently got some engagement photography done. I've always hated being in front of the camera. It's not that I'm nervous or shy, but I can't stand seeing pictures of myself. I believe I'm one of the least photogenic people on the planet. From the moment we met Pedro we were immediately put at ease, and my sense of worry and pre-emptive disappointment began to fade away. Pedro is very friendly and outgoing. He used this throughout the day to make us feel comfortable and confident in the shoot. He has an excellent directional technique so we always knew what we should be doing without feeling bossed around. He came up with some great ideas and made sure we were able to share ours. Pedro was extremely professional and very efficient. I was worried we would need 500 takes just to get the magic shot. Not so with Pedro. He knew what he wanted and what we wanted and made the most of our time. We've gotten a glimpse of some of the pictures and they look amazing! Can't wait to see them all. Pedro is a talented portrait photographer. I purchased a package for an 45-minute outdoor photo shoot in downtown Portland with my family. It took some time for us to get scheduled, but everything went well on the day of the appointment. Pedro took us to various locations near PSU, some of which I never would have considered for photos! During the session, Pedro made the effort to get to know us and was also willing to share some of his personal story, which made our kids feel more comfortable. He spent more than our allotted time with us, and we ended up with over 300 photos from which to choose. It was a hard decision to narrow them down, as there were many excellent shots. His prices are very reasonable, especially if you can take advantage of a Groupon deal; he also offers specials that are sent by email. I will consider doing an indoor shoot the next time we need a family group picture. read more

So where to start? Its so hard to pick one or two things that were wonderful about this experience because in reality the list of goods is longer than can be listed here. First off Pedro does a wonderful job of catching the candid moments. The moments that are often missed in the desire to catch the ultra perfect moments where people sit rigidly and smile with no natural flow to them. Secondly, Pedro was wonderful in providing enough direction to get the perfect shot without making the shoot overwhelming with instruction or removed of all natural flow. Pedros personality is wonderful, a happy soul, making the whole experience so easy and relaxed. Where my fiance and I started off "shy" by the end of the shoot we were all laughing and sharing jokes like old friends. I would give Pedro a 10/10 if that option was available definitely would recommend 110% percent of the time. read more

Pedro is so amazing! I used him for some acting headshots for audition season and he delivered! His photography style is unique, and I picked him after viewing his portfolio on his website, and he carries out his personal style through all his shoots, and it makes those photos stand out (in my opinion). Not only that, but he's such a fun person to talk to, and does a good job helping you feel comfortable and welcome. Also, Cobalt Studios (the studio in PDX that Pedro did my headshots in) is amazing as well. It's like Narnia when you step inside- small on the outside, but a wonderland on the inside. I first found Pedro's business on Groupon, and I immediately fell in love with his photography as well as his passion for photography. That passion was evident during our photo shoot throughout downtown Portland. Not only did he perfectly capture my personality in his photos, but he made the photo shoot fun and easy. I felt comfortable in his presence, which helped me to loosen up and enjoy the experience. I'm a journalist and wanted several head shots as well as some fun photos, and he did a perfect job. My 4 year old precocious daughter had a photo session with Pedro this afternoon. While she is initially quite bashful, she warmed up quickly because Pedro was fantastic at grabbing my daughter's attention to capture awesome images of her in both candid and posed shots. I first saw Pedro's work hanging in the Bower's Museum in Anaheim and found out he does some work in Southern California (he works in Portland and SoCal).
