My daughter has been seeing Dr.Crum since she's been a newborn and she's 1 year old now and this is…read morethe second incident to where I feel as if Dr.Crum Rushes through the visits and doesn't listen when I'm telling her my concerns, first incident was when my daughter had an appointment and I felt as that was the time I should ask Dr.Crum some questions that I was concerns about she checked my baby said nothing was wrong with her continue to give her all of her vaccines and once we left a day later my baby got worse I decided to take her to an urgent care and the whole time my baby had the "FLU A" the second incident was just recently and I had concerns about my daughter "lymph nodes " were swollen Dr.Crum looked at her throat confirmed that is was "RED" she asked me was my daughter eating and drinking fine I told her yes so she decided she didn't need to treat her for anything 2 days later My baby had a huge knot on her lymph nodes so I decided to take her to an urgent care and the WHOLE TIME MY BABY HAD A STREP THROAT and its pissing me off because if only she could've been concerned at her appointment my baby could've been treated from the strep throat I would not recommend Dr.Crum as your baby pediatrician.

This is more so a general review than a review about a recent experience…read more 1) Reception The receptionists are nice, but if you have a balance of any kind, just say you know and move on, because I asked one time and they let me know the total -- but they said it loudly enough that the rest of the waiting room could hear it too. Embarrassing to say the least. If you call them, they're nice too, but often they'll hang up immediately after you're done, no time for pleasantries. 2) Nurses The nurses here are and have always been phenomenal. Shoutout to Porsha especially, as she always greets us with a smile and takes great care of my partner and I's daughter. 3) Doctors We've met with a few of the pediatricians here, and our standard pediatrician, Dr. Brian Dudgeon, is the best out of all of them. He was actually my partner's pediatrician when she was born (his first patient) so having that level of connection is amazing. He'll take the time with you to explain what's going on, what he believes will fix it, and proceed cautiously through there. 4) Overall: I would highly recommend Greenvale Pediatrics - Hoover. The benefits fully outweigh the negatives of visiting, and if you can get seen by Dr. Dudgeon, I fully, fully recommend it!

But when you realize that the doctor is giving their 100% undivided attention with no need to rush through your child's health questions, you see why. Well worth it in my opinion. Dr. McCain is our primary doctor for our 1 year old twins. She is personable, caring, and shows nothing but guiding us in the right direction for medical care. To be perfectly honest, I don't know how we would know any milestone, dietary changes, health concerns, or basically raising our kids without her. We have seen a couple of other doctors when we needed to get in quick. And they have shown the same care and time for us. Most Urgent Care Facilities close by 6PM, making the only alternative Children's Hospital Emergency Room; sometimes taking hours before being admitted. The best part about this urgent care facility is that it is right across the street from the Children's Hospital Emergency Room Entrance (across from Captain Ds & McDonalds) downtown Birmingham. This way, if the doctor feels it is urgent enough to be admitted to the Hospital, no time is wasted walking directly across the street. We were able to see the Doctor and avoid a late-night emergency room visit in a fraction of the time with Pediatrics PM. Thanks!

Most of the time, the decision is to try to keep them comfortable enough so you can take them to their doctor the as soon as possible. However, sometimes, you can't get your kids in to their pediatrician so you choose to take them to an urgent care clinic. Well, most urgent care clinics don't have pediatric doctors on the staff. Sure, a General Practitioner or Internist can treat your kid, but many parents would prefer a pediatrician. Pediatrics PM is the perfect solution! With late, non traditional hours offered all days of the week, you can have your child seen quickly without breaking the bank. They accept Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and they have affordable cash options if your child is uninsured. I visited the open house this evening and I was very impressed with the facility. Imaging and lab services are offered so they can handle urgent situations as well as things like routine physicals and vaccinations. Another great thing I like is the hours. Your child can be seen without having to miss school and hopefully without you having to miss work. I highly recommend you give Pediatrics PM a try if you have a baby, child, or teen with a medical need!
