They never called me back. I called them back today and spoke with the front desk and she said after speaking with her manager they now are no longer accepting new patients. I confronted the receptionist and said last week you told me you were accepting new patients, what has changed? She says that they do not accept new patients that need autism screenings. Can someone please explain to me how a pediatrician is not qualified to do an autism screening. I don't know if I even would want to take my kids here for a common cold.

Over the years, they've squeezed one or the other of my kids in late on a weekday, a Saturday, you name it. They are thorough, patient, knowledgeable and best of all, there are 4 or 5 of them! On occasion we've seen the other doctors there, and my daughter decided Dr. D'Andrea was her favorite, so now she sees him. And yes, both make the belly button tongue depressors. They never rush the appointment, and always ask, "is there anything else you'd like to ask?" They've cared for my children through Scoliosis, broken bones, normal viruses, shots (flu shots are walk-in), and lots of normal check-ups. Oh, and the office staff is great, too, which you'll love when you're a new parent! ;-). Nancy will make you feel like your kid is the priority! Parking is always available, they are upstairs but there is also an elevator, and also an entrance for teens who feel too grown up for the kids' entrance.

When I called to make an appointment with Identity Medical Group, I felt comfortable and the appointment date was within a month, so I decided to move forward and book the new patient exam. Dr. Robert (Bob) Dodge's office is located in the 5-story building across the street from Community Memorial Hospital in mid-town Ventura. There is a 3 story parking structure below the building that offers free parking. Dr. Dodge's office is located in unit 502. There's 2 doors then enter into the same building. So here we are on the day of my new patient exam, 2/29/15 @1000. I arrive at 0950 and sign onto a sheet. At the front desk sat, Rosie-one of the receptionist who didn't seem warm and welcoming. After about 10 minutes Nicole, registered me into the system and collected my co-pay. Within 5 minutes I was called back by Hannah, who I'm assuming is the MA, proceeded in taking my temp, weight and vitals-she also performed pre-appt questions to get a better gage for my visit. She then walked me to the exam room where I waited another 5-10 minutes for Dr. Dodge. My first impression of Dr. Dodge is that he is very warm-welcoming. He has great energy and displays true passionate, concern about your care. He actively listens as you voice your concerns and reiterates back to you. I like that he was consistent in asking if I had any questions, to make sure I understood his recommendations. The overall physical/assessment appointment was about 30 minutes, and then I was done. I would recommend Dr. Dodge to anyone looking for a new primary care physician. I'm happy to have finally found a primary care physician that actually cares and who is quite knowledgeable.

Recently, lack of quality treatment, meds!, you could come in and kill yourself there and I know my dr didn't even see how bad I was and I don't think she cared. It seems no doctors agree on treatment or medicines, serious diagnosis in my chart that are not mine and still not corrected. Today's referral, the office gave me an address in San Diego, then in Ventura and I found it in Oxnard but I wouldn't tell her her job! Maybe Shawn needs to check on the quality of her underlings and training they receive. Maybe someone should check on Shawn. The female couldn't pronounce the specialist field of practice either. I feel too old to change but looking for another practice. Definitely not recommended now.
