I'm calling out Soothing Dental, 980 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI…read more I initially stopped into their office at the beginning of January 2025. I requested to take their tattered and torn US flag to my VFW Post to properly and honorably retire it. I was rebuffed by the secretary, who told me she did not have the authority, even after I offered to take the flag down myself. The secretary informed me that the office owner had contacted the local flag handyman and the issue should be fixed in a couple of days. I returned to Soothing Dental on Thursday 1/23, where the flag was still waving, tattered and torn. I was informed by a different female staff member that there was something wrong with the "internal system" that raised and lowers the flag. She assured me they are taking care of it. I drive by Soothing Dental several times a week. They have failed to fix their flag. I requested they remove the flag until they are able to have the pole fixed, which as of this morning February 3rd, a month later, they have declined to do. Army Medic Baghdad,Iraq. 2006-07 Caveat: I have not received dental service here. I would not work with a provider who disrespects the freedom they have to operate their business.

I'm not another number to her and it's rare you find that today. She is considerate on cost, and she does not push unnecessary items/surgery. She is gentle with her touch when she exams you. I recommended her to all my family and friends and even my patients that are looking for a new dentist. I'd give her and her crew 10 stars if I could. Everyone at that office is very nice and welcoming. They are very accommodating, especially when I broke my foot.

It has been a year since I have started Ortho treatment. I was apprehensive about taking on another…read moremonthly payment, but it was the best decision ever. Since the early year of my youth I desired to correct my gap, but it was not affordable. Now fast forward to the golden year of my (insert age here) life I took the plunge. Spending $2,500 - $6,000 on braces definitely required research. I searched several orthodontists and their backgrounds. I felt the most confident with Dr. Teifer based on her advanced training. The dental office is welcoming with bright colors and smiling faces. That is a good thing for parents with little ones since they offer pediatric dentistry. My visit was on a Saturday, which is the new patient consult day. I had x-rays completed, review of payment options and review of my dental needs with Dr. Teifer. After that, I decided to put money down and start treatment. My employer offers adult ortho coverage, so my out of pocket was not so high. Otherwise, I would not have gotten braces. For the cost of a daily latte I have begun the transformation process. The great part is they offer in house payment options with no interest. This made my decision much easier. There was a noticeable difference in my gap closure and teeth structure within a few months and I still have 12 months to go. My adjustment visits are planned in advance and last less than 30 minutes. The tightening of the wire was really uncomfortable in the beginning, but is manageable now since my space has closed up tremendously. At this point I have to wear rubber bands 24/7, which has taken me back to looking like a kid, but I love the results so far. Getting braces has made a difference for me personally and I feel comfortable at Today's Orthodontics. *update with photos once complete will posted*

July 2017: So every experience I've had here since I got my braces on has been great until today…read more You don't mess with my money. That aspect of your business should be together. July 10th these are coming off. I'll be going somewhere else if my teeth aren't where I want them fully. Update - May 2018: Since this review, things did become a bit better until yesterday. I called the canton location because my not so permanent retainer fell off ($350) and I wanted to get it replaced. The rep on the phone tells me that I have a balance of $100 from that installation. Here we go with the billing nonsense again! I kindly tell the rep that I paid for my permanent retainer with my medical FSA and signed up for the remaining $100 to be automatically withdrawn from my account MONTHS ago. I've literally had my permanent retainer for months! So, when I call today you just casually tell me I have a balance? Why is this not something that was not withdrawn and/or rectified months ago? Here I am thinking that I'm paid in full and can get my retainer replaced. The rep tells me that she is going to call me back and won't schedule my appointment to get my retainer fixed until she figures out my "billing" issue. Honestly, enough is enough. I used to love this company and what it stood for, but it's just a hot mess. And why is my almost $400 retainer falling off anyway? I am leaving for Aruba tomorrow and cannot get my teeth taken care of. It's like I'm better off starting over somewhere else! My teeth are constantly separating and now my permanent retainer won't stay on? I've invested so much money...

I do not do well with dentists. Never have. I have extreme dental anxiety. My last dentist who I…read morereally liked and trusted retired recently - good for him! But it left me scrambling to find someone new. I asked in a local Facebook group and got recommended to check out here. When I called to go through the insurance check and book an appointment, the scheduler was super helpful and friendly. I had to wait ~2-3 months but I didn't mind. They offered me waitlist spot in case of any cancellations. It never happened, but I do like that it's an option. I finally went, super wary of a new place and a new dentist. Immediately everyone was so friendly it put my anxious self at ease a bit. The hygienist was super sweet and very understanding. Made sure to keep me comfortable. I had cracks on the side of my mouth from overly dry skin and she was so sweet in making sure she was careful not to split them open and make them bleed. She listened to me and made me feel heard. The dentist himself was only in for a bit as I was just there for xrays and a cleaning. I had no issues, so we didn't interact much. But I have nothing bad to say about him either. This is definitely my new dentist for the long term.

All three hygienists I have seen there have been very gentle and careful. My teeth do not hurt at all after cleaning or other procedures. They do just fine with a nervous nellie like me and yet still manage to remove any necessary plaque or other grossness and make my teeth all fresh and pretty. Prior to this I had a dentist who filled the wrong tooth and I ended up not going for awhile after. Dr Berman is careful and using him I have not had any further problems with my teeth, no fillings, nada. I really trust him which I needed after my prior bad experience. I have moved from my hometown but even with it less convenient for me, I am willing to make the drive.
