I take my daughter here for allergy shots every week. It's every Tuesday they don't start giving…read morethem until 9 am. Sometimes you go and you have to wait a good 20 minutes and then sometimes you go and then they call you right back in your in and out. I would plan on spending a good 30 to 60 minutes there on average. They have offices in Sewickley, Beaver, and Tarentum. Sometimes the girls in the office or friendly and nice, and sometimes you can tell that their rushed, stressed out and in not the best of moods.

I received a skin test that DID NOT involve needles, which I was extremely nervous about! I felt NOTHING! It just felt like someone pushed a fine tooth comb on the surface of your skin. I found that I had allergies to almost everything and would need weekly shots (2 shots/week) to create an immunity within my body to the things that I'm allergic to. I am that person that is usually very intimidated by needles, but the shots truly don't hurt as much as others because it only goes into the skin versus the muscle. I was also given allergy tablets, a steroid inhaler, and nasal spray. Each medication that was given was described in depth by Dr. Rudolph as to why I needed them, which made me confident in what I would be taking to help ease my current allergic symptoms. Since I've been in Dr. Rudolph's care, I have not had a sore throat, ear aches, or intense cold symptoms. Sometimes, I may feel like a cold is coming on with symptoms of scratchy throat, watery eyes, or coughing, but since treatment, the cold doesn't fully form and I don't get sick. Before treatment, I was feeling like I had strep throat/ear infections/a cold every 3-6 weeks, and now, I am never sick! I am very satisfied with Dr. Rudolph's initial evaluation of my condition and the treatment he has given me for it. I would recommend Dr. Rudolph to anyone that is suffering from persistent colds and allergy/cold symptoms and wants relatively fast relief!

He provided me with several options for management of my condition and showed a sincere interest in me as a a patient. I felt that I had the final say on my treatment plan, and we both made mutual agreements to the entire approach. This physician made me feel like I am a valued patient. Prior to him coming into the room, I…read morecould hear him outside the door saying loudly in the hallway something about a patient not taking their medication, I assumed he was talking about me... and he seemed angry. Once, he entered the room, I said hello and asked him how he was?.. he said not good. I calmly told him I researched the medication and it was not recommended for those 65 and older (which I am). It is a sedation anti depressant drug that is be taken before bedtime. I live alone and I am on the road driving to work between 6-6:30am and I told him I do not feel comfortable taking this drug. Heart disease also runs in my family and I would rather see if there was something else we could for my skin condition instead. He yelled a profanity at me... "Jesus Christ"... I calmly and politely told him to not swear at me, that it wasn't appropriate to do that to a patient. I think that perhaps Dr. Van Norman needs to be sedated based on his actions today. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone.. beyond unprofessional.

I have had a couple problems with my skin and every time Dr. VN prescribes what is needed and it is healed. Other doctors don't even give you the time of day to even explain symptoms. Dr. VN spends all the time you need plus more! I drive completely out my way just to go to this office. Great doctor. Great office. Almost no wait time. You won't regret going here!

This place was near me and I figure I'll give it a shot. I also wanted to take the opportunity to get a prescription for some meds I needed for when I head out of the country. The experience was pretty typical. Setup appointment, came in, had the physician assistant assess me. Pretty standard. The PA noticed I have high blood pressure. I already knew this and was currently taking steps to fix it. Then Dr. Wilfong came in. He checked my blood pressure and started to lecture me about it. He was very condescending. He went on to say that men usually don't listen to what he tells them to do and I probably wouldn't either. He looked at his PA and went on about how him and his women patients get along great. But for some reason men just never listen to him. He questioned my last PCP visit and whether I was going to stay in the area. I ended up not saying much. He was giving me directions on what to do next. I nodded and agreed. At the end of it, he asked if I understood. I told him I understood. He scoff and said, "Well you bought that quickly." He then wrote my prescription for my medication, stated that "this is what you're here for," left it on the table, then darted out of the room with a quick "see ya." The encounter lasted less than two minutes. I didn't even get to talk to him about other health issues before he walked out of the door. I just sat on the bed feeling embarrassed for myself. I guess my PCP search continues.

I came in today for the first time to speak to a doctor. I felt seen, heard and the doctor was very…read morekind and patient with me. Before I left I got a few vaccines I was due for. While scheduling out a test at the front desk before leaving I nearly fainted. Everybody there jumped into action to get me into a wheelchair and into a room where they surrounded me and checked my blood sugar, blood pressure and fed me food (some of which I think was from their own lunch!) and gave me juice. They sat with me and explained everything to me about why I almost fainted and printed me out information about vaccine side effects. That's never happened to me before but it does happen. I'm really glad I was there and everybody there took incredibly good care of me. For a first visit it was a little crazy but I feel like I made a really good choice going to McKeesport Internal Medicine. An RN walked me to my car to make sure that I was okay and as soon as I arrived home I received a phone call from the office to check up on me. Absolutely wonderful people here.

He listened to my elderly father's symptoms. He took the time to figure out what was wrong with him with one visit. However, when…read moreI called him recently to get a mask medical exemption for respiratory issues, he said to me, "I know it's uncomfortable, but it's ok to feel dizzy, nauseous, light-headed, and have difficulty breathing with a mask and mild asthama." Mind you, I had been going there for 34 years. I had the HIGHEST respect for him and had recommended other patients to his practice. His callous attitude and lack of understanding has caused me to search out a new physician. I don't know what happened to him, but I don't feel a need to receive care (or lack thereof) from a doctor who apparently does not give a damn anymore about his patients.
