Once I got signed up by the salesperson, the first time I had questions the response time in my opinion was awful and when finally she did get back to me I was told that I have to deal with her assistant. This made me very angry so I put a call in to Mr. Wiggins, the person that answered the phone told me that Mr. Wiggins doesn't take phone calls and they would get him a message. She refuses to answer the phone now and when she did before, she was extremely rude. There is no way I would ever have trust that she could efficiently and professionally file a claim. At this point, I call this harassment and negligence. Stay away from this firm!

Two months later, the mortgage company notified me that I didn't have insurance on that home. When I contacted my agent, Ted Miller, he blamed Farmers for HIS error. Even though all the checks I sent in April had been cashed by Farmers, they cancelled my policy. Ted Miller could not offer any logical explanation for his error or the lack of notification. He claimed it would be backdated from the time I realized it in July 2011. But in fact, I had no insurance on this home from May 2011 to July 2011. In their confusion, they also cancelled my umbrella policy for no reason. Then I decided to cancel all of my policies. For some reason, this was a very challenging task for Ted. I had paid for 2011 in full and was to get a refund for the credit I had on my policies. After receiving over 800.00 in refunds, I was turned over to collection for a 38.00 balance on the account. He and his wife have no idea why the balance was not taken out of the refund check. They couldn't explain themselves again. There is no management to speak to about this and many other problems I have had with Farmers. Each Farmers agency is independently owned. Therefore, there is no one to contact about agent errors. Do not use this duo!

This office is extremely unresponsive--calls frequently go unanswered, and voicemails are often ignored for days, if they're returned at all. I had a billing issue where payments were being misdirected to my previous agent, and despite multiple phone conversations, the problem was never resolved. When I finally decided to cancel my policies, the agent, Wendy, sarcastically thanked me for "wasting her time" trying to sort out the billing issue, then abruptly ended the call and refused further communication. I later visited the office in person with documentation to prove the billing error. Her staff struggled to review six months of payment history and ultimately dismissed me, saying I'd have to speak directly with Wendy--who wasn't even in the office during normal business hours. After waiting 10-15 minutes, she returned only to tell me she wouldn't discuss the issue further and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. I was calm and simply asking for clarification about my payments. The accusation and threat were completely uncalled for. This agency has demonstrated a lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and in my experience, potentially unethical behavior. They accepted my payments and then claimed I hadn't paid. I strongly recommend avoiding this agency.
