This is my favorite place to see my metal shows!! Great ambience. Not huge venue so feels intimate…read morewith the band. People are nice. Crowd is fun. Theres a nice patio too where you can just chill. Came here to see lacuna coil and it ead so much fun. They were soo good and you could hear them perfectly. The audio in this venue is always the best. Much better than revolution live.

I'm a live-music fan and I understand that start times can be flexible -- that's part of the deal…read moresometimes. But this experience felt different. Tickets for The Wallflowers were purchased through Ticketmaster and listed a 7:30 PM start time, with no indication that this was just doors. Three separate confirmation/reminder emails also listed 7:30 PM, again with no clarification. It was completely reasonable to assume the band would start not too long after that. They didn't take the stage until after 9:30 PM. Bands start late occasionally, sure -- but for a touring band in their 60s (said with respect), that's a long wait, especially with no announcement or clear communication at the venue. The room was full of people staring at the stage wondering what was going on. After the show, the venue stated in writing that they "never advertised the band as starting at 7:30 PM," which was surprising given the Ticketmaster listing and the multiple emails all stating that time. They later pointed to start-time language buried deep in their website -- information you wouldn't see if you bought tickets through Ticketmaster, which is their exclusive ticketing platform. That's unfortunate, because this place has real potential. The sound was fine, the bartender was good, and the room could absolutely be a positive addition to the Fort Lauderdale music scene. It'll be worth checking out once door times and actual performance start times are clearly communicated on Ticketmaster. Until then, music lovers should plan accordingly. After trying to resolve it directly, I ultimately received a full refund through my credit card company due to the discrepancy between the advertised start time and when the band actually took the stage. Music fans plan their nights around these shows. Clear communication makes all the difference.

What. A. Night. This jazz club is PURE magic. From the…read moremoment we walked in, the owner Michael made us feel so welcomed--genuinely kind and passionate about the place. Our waitress Lisa was AMAZING, attentive, warm, and on point all night The food? Whew. You can taste the love and soul in every bite. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly, and the carrot cake deserves its own standing ovation. Absolutely delicious. And the MUSIC--next level. The band was incredible, and what truly touched us was when the musicians gave us a shoutout, saying we inspired them because we were so into their music. That personal moment meant everything, especially since we were celebrating my partner's birthday This place isn't just a jazz club--it's an experience. We will definitely be back.

When we got there the hostess immediately asked us if we're one of the "late ones" that hasn't shown up yet. We showed her the email that states to come whenever yet she still argued it with us that it starts at 7:30. Also, the email states that you have to pay a $20 fee per person if you don't order food....yet they never mention that you have to order $20 worth of food PER PERSON. On top of that, there's a lovely $8 fee if you share your meal. Food portion was tiny and my shrimp meal had plastic in it. When I mentioned this to the waitress, the chef came out and argued that it was shell, to which I physically picked up the plastic and stretched it to show it was definitely not a shell. At the end of the meal we received our check and were informed that there is a "service fee" AKA the waitress added her own tip onto our check (she physically wrote in the tip on the check and even wrote the total). We were never informed about any service fee until the end of the meal. Extremely disappointed. Will not be going back.

Never been to Revolution Live before, but I was pleasantly surprised with the place. And Nirvanna was kick ass. First off parking was pretty easy. They have a parking lot right outside the entrance. It was a little busy, but they wisely put an attendant outside to supervise things and we managed to get a spot without any problem. Parking wound up being $27 which was a little bit high considering the tickets to the show were only 20 bucks. As for the club itself I liked it a lot. There's a general admission floor section right in front of the stage and a wrap around balcony area up top where you can watch in peace, which is fantastic if you're old like me LOL. There's also a curtained off VIP section where you can get "bottle service" for $250, but honestly it didn't seem worth it to me. Maybe if there was a high profile artist playing it would be cool but for a tribute band I didn't see the need. Anyway, had a great time here. I would definitely come back and check out some other artists, in fact I already bought tickets to see Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine who's playing in here in May.

Pretty lowkey venue for a mid-week concert. The stage is quite elevated from the floor area, so…read morethat was a bit weird to be looking slightly up the whole time. Drinks were good and not TOO expensive, and my service experience was 50/50: one bartender was amazing but the other couldn't answer a single question (i.e. simple things like "what seltzer flavors do you have?").

I absolutely love a good hole-in-the-wall venue where the music rocks and the crowd is super…read morefriendly. I headed to Blue Jean Blues in Fort Lauderdale specifically to check out the Valerie Tyson Band after a local friend highly recommended them. We drove up from Miami and they did not disappoint--they brought all the energy and put on an amazing performance! It happened to be Ms. Annie's birthday, so the band and the crowd were especially lively and fun. The Food (The 1-Star Dock): I'm docking the venue one star because they really need to step up their food game. There were four of us at our table, we all arrived hungry, and unfortunately, none of us were satisfied with our meals. Between us, we ordered the wings, cheese sticks, the chicken quesadilla, and a wedge salad with shrimp. For a venue like this, executing solid, good-quality bar food should be a given. As for my choice, the wedge salad was a total miss--the tomatoes were overly ripe (and not in a good way, I couldn't tell if they were in a strange marinade or just too ripe), and the lettuce wedge lacked appropriate crispness, arriving more like a flat pancake instead of a wedge. Now, I will say, as a self-proclaimed French fry connoisseur, the side of fries we ordered was actually pretty good! (Gotta mix the good with the bad, right?) But the rest of the menu definitely needs some major improvement. Pro-Tip: Be incredibly careful with parking out here and make sure you pay! I saw two different meter maids actively writing tickets while we were there. Don't let an expensive parking ticket ruin a great night of music. Return Factor: I would absolutely come back to Blue Jean Blues to see the Valerie Tyson Band again, especially if I'm staying right here in Fort Lauderdale next time!

They were having their happy hour and there were several items to pick from. I opted for the smoked fish dip and bottled sparkling water. I loved every bite. A very soulful evening. Definitely a great hangout spot to listen to local artists as well as have a meal and drinks.
