She took the time to explain what was going on with my tooth and why it was necessary to retreat my root canal. Immediately upon reviewing my CBCT image she saw that the original dentist missed a canal. (Original one was done 20+ years ago, when the technology was not near advanced as it is today.) She explained this is more common than you would think because these canals are so tiny and can branch off. Root canals are often why people dread the dentist. I can honestly say that this was done with zero discomfort. She was able to remove the old material, locate and clean the extra canal and complete the procedure within an hour. So methodical, precise and efficient. I honestly wish there were more practitioners like her out there! Fabulous work. Thank YOU!

I went in on a Friday and was seen for my root canal on a wendseday the next week. I was seen by Dr. Meenal McNary D.D.S. she was great... very informative and walk you through everything that she will be doing for your teeth. I felt like I was in good hands. Being that this was first root canal ever. I had a Crack in my tooth and she was still able to safe the tooth instead of pulling it. Would highly recommend this Dr. The main reason I did not give all stars is. Be prepared for a sticker shock on what needs to get done. As this place is completely out of network with insurances. They do there best to work with insurance but more than 70% comes out of pocket. My tooth was in bad shape and seeing how I was reffered there. I felt like I could not go anywhere else. When I put in the code, it's for another patient!!! I see all this persons personal info and procedures getting done, the payments they have made etc!! Imaging should come with clear medical justification and informed consent, and this office policy felt billing-driven rather than patient-driven. There was absolutely no need for x-rays, especially as they took them less than 18 months ago. "We can't diagnose" without them is irrelevant when there is nothing to diagnose, and I take care of my teeth. Again, patients choice to avoid exposure to radiation. Not that hard.

Was told that the everything was good and insurance had been approved. Kept getting calls and text messages to make sure I was going to make the appointment. Expected to pay for my co-pay and maybe a few hundred more for whatever else was needed to get rid of the pain I was in. Ended up being charged way more than expected due to "some procedures that they say insurance never pays for, although the were not even sent into insurance and was told they were my "out of pocket costs", Was made to feel if this was not paid, they would not continue with any kind of treatment at the time. I was in pain! Ended up paying way over $800. They never went over a treatment plan or shown the itemized cost of the treatment although I kept asking for that. Only thing I left with was my credit card receipt on that payment. Apparently, I had a massive gum infection, yet they proceeded to extract a tooth I was told was the problem and they insisted I needed a deep cleaning on my uppers, they would wait for lowers when I came back to remove stitches in a week. When returned to get stiches removed and continue with lower part of deep cleaning, I again had to pay another $200 because I was not billed everything the first time. I was labeled a problematic patient since I kept asking for a detailed treatment plan, what the insurance was billed and paid. Dr. had a talk with me wanting to know why I was so upset and angry. Not knowing my health history, I was body shamed and told maybe I should change doctor and get on "those drugs to lose weight". She might of meant well, but I took it as offensive. Since they kept refusing to give me the detailed treatment plan charges and what was billed to insurance my husband got involved due to it being his insurance plan from work and felt they were sketchy. Eventually, I received refund to most of my payments when we proved insurance had paid out. Having to go to another dentist due to still being in pain, seems that tooth that was extracted might not have been the problem.

When I asked the dentist office, they said they had pre-authorized the work and that they had good faith that it would be covered; I checked with the insurance co and they have no record of a pre-auth. I'm still trying to fight for the $86. 2) they said I needed at least 2 crowns to start with and the estimate was $1700 per crown. But in February they would give me a $200 discount per crown. Then after continuing to talk to them about it, she increased it to $300, just because. 3) I went back to my old dentist for a 2nd opinion. They did ex-rays complimentary to check things out. They agreed with one tooth but said the other didn't need to be done, they had been watching it and hadn't seen any sign of changes over several years. They gave me an estimate of the one crown, with my insurance coverage, with being out of network, the price of the one crown was $750. $1000 less than an in-network provider. I've reported them to my insurance and my claim about their bad practices. Do not go to this dentist.

Most times patients are weary and have some sort of bad experience visiting a dentist I was put at ease and had one of the best dental hygienist I have ever seen. I checked in at the front desk for my appointment and was brought in shortly after. The waiting area has a TV, coffee bar, and mini fridge with cold drinks. There are also other activities in the corner, like video games and coloring pages, great for kids. Ms. Diana, the dental hygienist, measured my blood pressure and took x-rays. She did a great job cleaning my teeth and it didn't hurt at all. You can choose your polish flavor - cherry or mint. There are two TVs in the examination room, one on the wall and one on the ceiling. I watched a movie on the ceiling TV to help distract me. Dr. Janice or Dr. Peter will do your examination after and check for cavities. They will let you know if any future treatments are needed and explain any concerns. The dental hygienist or front desk staff will help you schedule your next appointment. They are flexible and ask your preference for times or days of the week to match your availability. They also offer an in-house membership plan if you don't have dental insurance. Kids can get a goodie bag at the end with little toys or stickers along with oral care items. Everyone really put me at ease and the environment is clean. You are in good hands here!

I went to K Family Dentistry & felt very confident in their honesty, and assessment of my oral health. They went through my X-Rays right in front of me, on a large screen. They answered any questions I had about their (conservative) treatment plan. They didn't try to financially gouge me. I'm on a fixed income, so a realistic treatment plan is an absolute necessity for me. I'm finally getting my teeth cleaned for the first time in years! (You don't appreciate the small things, until you're unable to attain them). My Dental check up last year was a nightmare! I never got any treatment beyond X-Rays & an office visit. The Dental office I went to said I needed a $2200+ deep cleaning, de-scaling, & planing over multiple quadrants. They quoted me the price of a new car to fix my teeth. I couldn't finacially swing that, so I got no treatment at all. I want even offered the option of a basic cleaning. They also told me I had severe gum disease. Fearing hearing the same (or worse) this year, I dragged my feet on going to a new dentist. So sad, because I could've actuality used my benefits to enjoy 2 cleanings & fix my teeth at a more convenient pace! Now I'm scrambling to squeeze 2 fillings, a cleaning & a wisdom tooth extraction in during the Holidays...before my current Dental Plan goes away. Lesson learned. Not all dentists are the same! Some care, are honest, & want to see you get the treatment you need. I'm hoping I can find insurance in the Marketplace for 2023 that allows me to continue with Dr. Janice at K Family Dentistry. I think this is my third or fourth time back for adjustments since I got a bottom denture from AFD. They are so accommodating and kind. They keep going until it is working for you. I think we finally worked out all the kinks and I was overwhelmed with emotion about how good my denture felt when I left today.
