We had a Daddy/Daughter Dance this afternoon. We stopped by a chain store hoping to get a corsage and boutonnière made. They quickly informed us that we've passed the deadline to receive anything. Frustrating but on we moved. Our next stop was at Pecan Hill. We were warmly greeted by the 3 ladies working. When we asked if they could make us a corsage and boutonnière, they warmly responded that they could. They said that they didn't have a whole lot to pick from as they've had a busy day, but they were extremely happy to help us. We told her the colors of our outfits and she took it from there. We went & had lunch. Both pieces were ready when we returned. They were BEAUTIFUL! Personally, I would rather spend $ at a local store. This one turned out to be CHEAPER than the chain store we stopped by initially. read more

I ordered flowers for a birthday. Spent over $100. Paid extra for DELUXE. The flower arrangement shown on the website was very elegant and classy. That is why I ordered it. What showed up was a flower arrangement that was filled with overflowing, wilting, filler greenery and only 1 out of the 5 flowers shown were in the vase. I could have just gone to the grocery store florist. Oh and the vase was standard with no attachments to it as again, shown on the website. I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. I thought by choosing local instead of using Amazon was a better option but apparently not. This was very disappointing. read more

I received my Mother's Day Flowers that my son ordered via FTD (first mistake) he asked that they be delivered Sat or Sun and paid extra for the weekend/holiday delivery, we'll I received them on the Tuesday after. I sent my son a picture of the flowers that I received finally and his statement was "doesn't look like the picture of the arrangement ordered. The actual arrangements water was hot and the flowers was wilted and full of waste blooms that should have been trashed. So we learned 2 lessons - 1. Don't use FTD 2. I called and spoke in depth about what I wanted and provided examples. I wanted a version of the Fashionista and the modern Orchid design on their website. I requested same flowers along with willow branches or sticks and a linear airy modern design. It looks like the took a bunch of flowers and tossed in a vase. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered flowers for my mother in law. She was supposed to get 2 nice, full Christmas Cactus plants, in a clay pot and saucer, spanning 17 1/2 inches, according to the website. I get that no two plants are alike, but what she got was a scrawny plant barely as wide as the 6 inch plastic grower's pot with red plastic around it. I was so disappointed. You go to a florist to get something better than what you would find at a home improvement store, but I could have done WAY better for less money at Home Depot. read more

I ordered from their website a deluxe basket called Country Basket Blooms a very colorful basket with blues and pinks very cheerful for sister who recently was diagnosed with cancer. I called and told them the basket I wanted they said they saw the picture I told them why it was being sent. What my sister got was the opposite of what the picture showed. All browns yellows orange it looked half dead and for the $73 dollars I spent it was less than half the size of the basket pictured on their website. I'm guessing because I live 4 hours away they could screw me over. But that is not my concern the worst part is they sent my sister a depressing ugly basket that looked half dead. I'm not sure what website my boyfriend uses to order flowers, but they are always processed and delivered by Pecan Hill Florist. The arrangements are always exceptionally exquisite, out of the dozen or so arrangements they've delivered to me. Flowers are always fresh and last much longer than you would expect them to, and they always include flower food to help extend the life of your arrangement. The roses they delivered to me on Valentine's Day hadn't even opened yet, they were so fresh; I've received anything but the freshest flowers from here. read more

I will NEVER recommend Pecan Hill Florist to ANYONE! The bouquets for a wedding I attended were awful! I don't know who exactly put the flowers together, but I don't know of any florist who would create such a mess. They looked nothing like what was agreed upon with the bride. After working a half hour on rearranging the bouquet and cutting off these awful looking fillers sticking out every direction, we made it presentable enough to carry. Of course as soon as they were delivered, we called the owner because she would have had time to bring the flowers she agreed upon, but of course she wouldn't answer the phone. Very convenient... The flowers on the alter looked better than the bouquets but when we looked up close, we noticed that they had LEAKED out of the wooden container all over the ALTER!!! The Pastor was not happy! Of course the bride and groom were so upset and embarrassed. Her reviews are all either a 1 star or 5 star, what a JOKE!! The real customers gave 1* Btw, the review before this is from a "Yelper Extraordinaire". This, however, is from someone who has actually seen the flowers firsthand. One more thing, the owner was contacted and she will NOT own up to the fact that the flowers looked nothing like she agreed upon, like the pictures she was given, and what was paid for. She only says she is sorry that the bride was upset and that the flowers were beautiful! What a disgrace. Nice flowers. Horrible delivery. People ordered flowers on Friday, funeral was the next Wednesday. Flowers from the spouse were received 5 minutes before the visitation. Other flowers ordered through the funeral home web site was received during the visitation and funeral. Some flowers showed up the day after the funeral but said they were delivered on the day of the funeral. Some flowers never showed up from family members who had attended the funeral. One standing wreath was dripping so much water we had to put it outside. It dripped water for 1 day! read more

Looked more like a small country bumpkin bouquet rather than the more than $60 "Fashionista Blooms" I chose. When I called to calmly discuss my disappointment, salesperson was unapologetic and rude. Very disappointed in the flowers ordered for Valentine's day. Arrangement received did not begin to match photo on website. Vase was different, bow was different, floral selection was different and the overall size and proportion of the arrangement was noticeably different. My order did not arrive complete as I had ordered a balloon also. I emailed this merchant and was told to read the disclaimer that she can sub my order as she likes. NICE! Not very friendly or courteous customer service.....oh she did return my balloon purchase. I ordered my mom birthday flowers and asked for roses and a spring mix worth $50. The lady on the phone was very nice but when the flowers arrived we were sooo disappointed. I wish I had a picture to share. The roses I asked for were tiny not the larger ones and it looked like they just stuck the flowers in the vase without looking. Every flower arrangement I receive from Pecan Hill is outstanding. I received my flowers June 14th. Today is June 21st and every flower is still beautiful. With some florist sometimes there is one bad rose that does not open. That is not the case with the arrangements I have received from Pecan Hill. The quality is exceptional!!!! Roses, stargazer lilies and big hydrangeas. All of my orders I have received have been from out of state orders, and the quality has always been above average. read more

I ordered through Avas Flowers and this florist was used to provide flowers for my mothers Birthday and she recieved what looked to be weeds. This was the worst flower arrangement that I have ever ordered. I will go out of my way to NEVER use either company again. read more

NEVER USE THIS FLORIST! I would never recommend or use this florist again! After I placed my order for my wedding I had difficulty getting in touch with her to confirm my order was going to be filled and that should have been my clue. She was provided with photos and given details; this was a small order for a small wedding and yes, detail mattered. The bridal bouquet was supposed to cascade with dark purples; I wanted lots of pop! What I got was white flowers only 4 strands of lavender and seriously, weeds hanging out of it. It took me and my daughter 20 to 40 minutes to make it into something I was not totally ashamed to carry down the aisle. So bad, the wedding coordinator recommended I use the artificial flowers my fiancé and I put together for my reception instead. I would have if the stems had been long enough. The bride's maids' bouquets were no better; not to the order I specified, the altar flowers were presentable but the florist did not put a plastic box inside and they dripped all over the altar! The stems on all bouquets were to be wrapped and were not wrapped. The stems were so wet that even though I laid them out and dried them off prior to use they dripped all over my poor bridesmaids! The entire order looked like it had sat in a fridge for a week prior to delivery. All flowers were wilted and soggy to the touch. The delivery guy dropped them off and gave no instructions and was clueless when I started to question the order. I honestly thought it was a bad joke! When I confronted the florist she told me that I, yes I, the bride and purchaser, was the only one that would notice the order was not correct. Seriously?! And when I continued to push the issue she pretty much told me to go find my happiness. No professionalism at all! I would have done better making my own or using Kroger; at least they would have been fresh! When I showed the Kroger florist the photos of the bouquet delivered they initially laughed because they thought it was a joke. When I told them it really happened they were mortified; they said it looked more like a spray you would deliver to a funeral! I love the town of Montgomery and I'm always trying to support local; too bad this florist does not appreciate the customer and fulfill the order promised. Oh, and if you look at the other stars that are greater than 1, look closely at who they are, "Yelper Extraordinaire". Take it from the actual bride that lived this floral nightmare; take your business somewhere else! read more
