My last visit in that time, I asked 2 questions that he answered within 30 seconds and I got a bill for each question I asked. Is this normal? Well after calling the office and hearing them say they'd check and call back because it "seems odd", I still don't know because this office NEVER calls back. I'm serious- they never call when they say they will. Bloodwork- "We'll call when we get it back" NOPE. I call weeks later. Sent for an x ray- twice... "We'll call as soon as we get the results". NOPE. I have to chase them weeks later, leave a message, they have to talk to someone, then they call with a vague, "it's normal"... and no alternative discussion or suggestions for the issues that sent me to the x ray in the first place.

Because our Mom admired Dr. B's knowledge and appreciated Dr. B's sense of humor, Mom followed Dr. B's advice. As Mom grappled with dementia in her final couple of years, each of us 4 adult children interacted more and more with Dr. B. and her wonderful staff. The physical therapist on staff at Dr. B's office, Kevin, worked patiently with our Mom each week to keep her moving. At every step of the way, Dr. B. was responsive, compassionate, and helpful to all of us. During Mom's very last days, Dr. B. gave clear direction to everyone to make our Mom's passing as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Dr. B. is a great doctor and a great person.

I was a patient with Northwest Family healthcare of Van Wert for over a decade, for the most part I…read morefound their care to be marginal. However they were useful for maintaining my access to Baclofen and occasional minor support with my Cervical Arachnoiditis symptoms. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with cancer, my Arachnoiditis symptoms were flaring off the scale simultaneously, I was suffering from extreme nerve pain and related symptoms which they were entirely unable to address or even recognize. I attempted to get them to refer me to a neurologist, I had to pester them for months, their refusal to permit access to this specialist was delaying my cancer treatments and they were aware of that. After months of foot dragging I still had to wait for a Nurse Practitioner to return from a 2 week vacation and then book an appointment with her to finally get the referral. I eventually discovered they refused to believe I had Arachnoiditis, would not even write my symptoms into my medical record at my appointments and they refused to do anything at all to help, nothing I could say would inspire them to help me. I have no idea of what they thought the Baclofen prescriptions were being written for, the nurse practitioner most responsible for my abuse had even signed for some of them. I eventually discovered that they had destroyed extremely critical medical records, x-rays and test results I had given them when I became a patient. They had done so without consulting me or even bothering to take notes from them before their destruction. I suspect their reports also damaged my relationship with with other healthcare providers because I was forced to replace them as well. I was entirely unable to make any progress with my conditions until I sought expert assistance on my own and switched healthcare providers. I filed a complaint with the state nursing board over my treatment by them. When I later obtained a copy of my medical records from Northwest Family Healthcare I discovered they had been purged of damaging content. The only effective record I now have from this period are parts of my files previously cut and pasted from my online access because I was forbidden to print them out. This is not something which can be entirely blamed on one individual, although one was more at fault, this was systemic within the organization. Take my word for it, Nightmares Be Here! Steve Rusk

While I've been generally happy with the care, their telephone hold times are simply unacceptable. My wife and I used some of our mutual downtime to schedule our various doctor visits. In the time that it took my wife to schedule three appointments of her own (with virtually no hold time), I was still on the phone waiting for someone at this office to pick up their phone (and yes, they were open, and yes, I called during normal business non-lunch hours). In fact, only once (over dozens of calls) did I get through to the receptionist in less than few minutes. More often than not, I hung up due to the excessive hold time. In a few cases, I left messages that were never returned. Sitting in this office's waiting room, it's very obvious why this is the case: The primary gal responsible for answering the phone is also constantly running around the office fielding other tasks. This office needs either more staff answering the phone or a receptionist dedicated to only taking calls. I understand that the practice is small (two physicians), but it's not like their rates are any cheaper, so... yeah. The fact that their website is a Google Sites URL (with outdated info) and that there is virtually no other internet presence/reviews for the place I think says a lot. I'm going to have to find a new provider, as there's no point in having a good doctor if you can't get their office on the phone reliably to set up an appointment. Unfortunately, this just looks to me like a few doctors who branched off into their own practice but haven't yet gotten to a standard of service (website, phone, etc.) to be considered serious players. I'd suggest ponying up some cash and fixing a few things on your end... it will pay dividends later. Since Endeavor bought Northwest Community Hospital some things have changed. Since the purchase,…read moreI've used their lab and their emergency room. There have really been no changes to their lab. You can walk in with lab orders and they will take you in the order of check-in time. Their phlebotomists are good, and results come in quickly. As for the ER, they seem to have a lower staffing level. I think part of this is I heard they are no longer a trauma center. If that is the case, I understand their reduction in staff. As with most ERs, wait times can be outrageous. I brought someone in who was in terrible pain - 10 out of 10 on their scale. How much pain you are in doesn't seem to matter in their triage. We waited a very long time before we were finally taken back. Once in an ER room, the service was outstanding. The quality of the nurses and the ER doctor were top notch. When we left, the medical issue was resolved, and although it is cliche, we had service with a smile. Aside from the wait time in the ER, Endeavor seems to have kept the quality of care up to par.

On both visits, I was here for over an hour and told that the person who can do xrays isn't here and I would need to come back on another day. Needing to come back on another day makes this clinic far less convenient for me, and the fact that this happened again makes me want to not return. If I need care again, I will probably go elsewhere.

He is very pleasant, talks to you very thoroughly making sure to answer ALL of your questions and concerns. My husband has went to him twice in a week sometimes for follow up care and the doctor has never made him feel rushed. He is very respectful and really gets to know his patients lifestyle, background and gives you the sense that he's listening rather than getting his prescription pad out, like more physicians do. The appointments are never rushed either. We plan to refer as many friends, coworkers and family to Dr. Stefanuik and plan to be his patients for years to come! :)
