Jay had coordinated the funeral with us, and made sure to be there every step of the way. He comforted us when needed and made sure we had everything we needed. On the day of the funeral we had Jamie Connell with us. He was amazing! He made sure everything went smoothly and was constantly checking in on us. If we were lost on anything he was there to guide us. They provided the shoulder to cry on. He took the time to listen and create the most beautiful memorial we could have imagined. Everything was perfect from the flowers to the slideshow. The military honors he arranged were done right in front on the lawn and it was one of the most moving things I've experienced. Justin arranged for them not only to play "Taps," but also to play my dad's favorite song, "Amazing Grace" and "Wild Blue Yonder" since he was in the Air Force. Justin took care of every detail and is even helping us navigate the process that comes after all of the services are done. She was in the funeral home for 3 days when we found out where she was. She had a life insurance policy for $5,000, that was to pay for her cremation. My father who was very ill and myself were told we had 5 days to come up with $500 or my mother would be treated as an unclaimed body. Thanks to them and their inconsiderate selves, THEY SAID SHE WAS AN UNCLAIMED BODY. To this day, I refuse to pay them for services, when they ripped us off, and did something with her remains. Neither Northampton County or Lehigh County can locate her. And whenever I call to try and get information Dimitri (funeral home director) ends up yelling at me. They tried to charge me $250 for a single death certificate. They are $20 at Vital Records.. He said it was a $225 processing fee. FUCK YOU HERRON FUNERAL HOME. INCONSIDERATE, MONEY HUNGRY ASSHOLES. When I found a local company who provides the plaques for this cemetery and others, and got a much cheaper price, the cemetery said they would have to charge a $970 supervisory fee. I'm astounded how greedy these people are.

He went into the office and was told it was lost! I spoke with a representative who told me it's still on order. Not sure why there was a miscommunication. The cemetery attendant showed up late and seemed clueless. I remember feeling uneasy when we walked away as her beautiful urn was being left unattended. The cemetery driveways are full of potholes. I used to visit the cemetery with my grandmother as a child to help her right the flowerpots and pull weeds.

I always appreciated that for every one, there were "senior" Emmaus natives who I recognized from my dad's generation guiding the many guests and managing the parking and processionals to the cemetery with such kindness and solitude.
