I went there with my daughter to have an eye exam. I have insurance, but got up charged an additional advanced eye exam fee for both of us!! When the exams were completed, it's almost as if the previous receptionist didn't even know us. She just pointed that he will help you. I went to see what were my options for new frames for both me and my daughter. Again, we were being up charged on the frames and possibly the lenses. I didn't move forward with the purchase at Hackettstown Pearl Vision as we would have ended up paying $1,000 or more. And that's with insurance. Feeling cheated at Pearlvision and getting bad vibes drove me to LensCrafters.'I got what I wanted elsewhere and am satisfied!! read more

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I was impressed that I was able to get an appointment before year end. They were the first place that actually agreed to let me replace the lenses in my favorite frames. They were efficient and timely, and I got the glasses back in a few days. read more

I had a fairly good experience here. Appointment fast with in house optometrist as needed new glasses and sunglasses for vacation. Optometrist did a good exam but did not convey much in terms of result but prescription glasses ..a but expensive.. were crisp and clear. I found everyone polite. It takes about ten days for glasses to arrive but they did and its an average time for area even big box in my experience. Plenty of parking and nice office ambience. If you have time obtain the original prescription blank and go to big box where you can get it filled two pair for one, eg sunglasses. read more

Mark was so helpful. Last night I fell down a flight of stairs and my glasses were looking beyond repair but Mark stepped right in and saved the day!. I have been going to Pearle Vision since they were in the hackettstown mall and they have always been the best they have always been able to help me and to provide excellent service to me. Today mark fixed my glasses and I thought he was going to tell me that they were beyond repair and I went an cried in the parking lot because there are good people left in this world and I really appreciate him more than he will ever know. The doctor l, Dr. C is great. And the service wasn't bad. But I'm still waiting for the glasses I paid for. It's almost 2 weeks.

Terrible customer service! Purchase expensive glasses less than 1 year ago and had small scratch, that I was originally told would be covered because they were "crizal" lenses. The rude manager would not cover the scratch. Will never go back and don't recommended anybody else go. read more

The whole staff here was excellent. Dr. DeMeglio was thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. She took her time and made sure I felt comfortable with my new prescription. The front desk staff was efficient and also extremely knowledgeable about insurance plans. Same with the person who helped me to select frames and lenses. The Doctor there was absolutely wonderful!! It is the staff of Pearl Vision that leave a whole lot to be desired..I went in to see the Dr. I came out and had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come help me.. If not for the receptionist for the Dr I would have walked the heck out.. To me, they seemed put out that I needed assistance.. Here is the kicker, They would not help me pick out frames.. I had to put the frames on and take a picture of myself..15 times. I finally got the same frames I did 2 years ago... They seemed like it was a chore to assist in anyway.. I took my daughter to Pearle Vision in Hackettstown and saw Dr. Miller. She asked to have her eyes dilated and he never did. He misdiagnosed her giving her a prescription that was wrong and had he dilated her eyes like she requested he would have seen the bleeding behind her eyes due to high blood pressure that she was not aware of that was causing the poor vision. Thank God she went to another eye dr. The following week and he did as she requested, dialated her eyes, diagnosed the problem and got her the immediate care she needed. Pearls Vision was a joke and all they were interested in was using their adding machine to rack up a charge of over $300.00 for a prescription that was not even accurate. The Dr. Is pleasant. The office staff on the other hand is less than eager to help. The women are gruff and seem irritated. Every time I get glasses i spend almost 1,000 however I refuse to spend it here. I will travel all the way to Rockaway pearl vision where they are always so pleasant and eager to help. read more

My husband and I went here last weekend to get an eye exam and buy glasses. After a quick and less then thorough exam, we were told to look for glasses. Each frame we found we had to go up and ask the price with insurance and each time the two women, who were standing around doing nothing, were extremely rude. After the third frame that we asked them to price, we ende up walking out without getting glasses. From the extremely rude receptionist, to the less than thorough eye dr, to the women who are supposed to help you with your glasses, everyone on this staff was horrible. I will never go there again. If I could would give them ten stars. The ladies who work there are professional, friendly and caring. They take time to assist your every need to make sure you are satisfied. They offer great customer service -- adjustments to your frames regardless of how old the frame is. Always with a smile and always free of charge. As a diabetic I have yearly eye exams and I have always been more than satisfied. I have been going to this location since it opened and to the one in Hackettstown mall before that. I come to Pearle because of the great selection of frames but most important the customer service. read more

Made my appointment online and less than an hour later got a call asking if I could come in earlier. I told the receptionist I was coming straight from work and would do what I could. I got there 15 minutes early to a receptionist who was rude and unpleasant. Seeing that the doctors hours were only 3 days a week and that he came in just 3 hours before on the day I had my appointment, I found that concerning. After filling out paperwork, I went into the exam room which from start to finish time lasted about 6 minutes. I've never needed glasses before and from an extremely rude and condescending doctor was given a prescription for a perfect left eye and -1.50 in the right eye. Feeling completely confused I was walked out and told to look at glasses, in the 2 minutes that I was browsing, the doctor and all his staff minus the saleswoman, got their stuff and left. Long story short, 2 days later I went to get a second opinion, and I'm so glad I did!! Dr. Miller's prescription was so wrong. I can't believe a doctor has no concern for his patients or their medical needs. I can't speak poorly enough of my experience with Dr. Miller or Pearle Vision of Hackettstown. read more

Needed new glasses (frames + lenses) as mine were 10+ years old. Sylvia was extremely helpful, patient with me as I tried a lot of different frames on, answering all of my questions. She also took my old glasses and figured out what options they had so that she knew how to place the new order (lens material, anti-glare, etc.). The whole process, which can be stressful, was very relaxed and easy for me, and I appreciated the support and willingness to not only find the right frame for me, but also her knowledge of my insurance (eyemed) and all that was included/covered. I would recommend anyone in the area go to Pearle Vision and ask for Sylvia, and I look forward to going back next year to get a second pair of glasses. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! read more

I tried to use a $25 coupon - SENT TO ME BY PEARLE - when I picked up my glasses today. I left a $50 deposit when I ordered the glasses a couple of weeks ago. The glasses cost over $300 (AFTER my vision benefit), so I still owed $262. When I attempted to complete my purchase, I was told that they could not honor the coupon because I should have given it to them at my first visit. There is nothing indicating that fact in either the letters that I was sent OR on the front of the coupon. In small print, on the back of the coupon, there was a sentence that said "Coupon required at time of purchase." I said I was still completing my purchase, and who reads all of that fine print, anyway? I was told that "a lot of customers have the same complaint" but there was "nothing she could do." This is a very poor example of customer service and, in my opinion, a bit of deceptive advertising, given that a key requirement for utilizing the coupon is hidden in the writing on the back. They have lost me as a customer. read more
