I was able to adjust my appointment date with no hassle. I went on a Tuesday around 3:30--no wait. Checked in, did the usual pre-tests (puff of air, air balloon), and paid \$39 for eye photos instead of dilation. Dr. Ali Khoja was fantastic--he listened closely and finally corrected my astigmatism. I can see clearly for the first time in ages! He also fitted me with trial contact lenses, and I left with a hard copy of my prescription the same day. Highly recommend, especially Dr. Khoja!

My husband, daughter and I are all patients of Dr. Guy and all agree that he's one of the best. At my most recent appointment, Dr. I, an optometry resident, treated my five-year-old and was fabulous! He was kind and funny and treated my daughter SO well - even in the midst of her eye drop-related meltdown. The office itself is in an unsuspecting Henrietta Plaza, but the waiting room is modern and bright. Can't recommend Family Vision Center more highly.

After a…read morelong hiatus from wearing glasses (apparently your eyes can improves in your 20s and 30s), I felt the need to go back and get a bit of an updated pair of glasses. They are currently in a new location in the same plaza than they were the last time I was there... which they reported was about 6 years ago. And they purge paper files after 7 years... so I probably hadn't been there in 8 years. I had a 7am appointment, and despite arriving on time, I was in the office for nearly 1hr 10min. To me this seemed a bit long, and I wasn't thrilled with that (especially since I was the first person of the day.) But Dr. Brown was fine as a provider. The opticians that I worked with on both occasions (pick out and picking up the glasses) were pleasant and knowledgeable. I have a decent vision plan, so I lucked out with some nice Anne Klein and Bebe frames. There is definitely nothing wrong with this, but I am a little nostalgic from the days of Dr. Baskin. I didn't feel treated like a long time valuable patient/customer, but I suppose that is partly because I am not those things to this place anymore. And thinking of the future, I might consider finding another office closer to where I live now.

I have Dr. Brown now and absolutely adore her. When I needed to switch contact brands, she worked with me over the course of several weeks (and many samples) to get me exactly the right pair. Last fall, I caught a cold that manifested itself in extremely red, painfully itchy eyes. I called, thinking I had pink eye, and they got me right in. The doctor explained the problem and told me not to wear contacts for a week. Not good -- I cannot wear glasses because they give me vertigo, and I was going to Detroit to see my sister's play that weekend. The doctor paused, explained why my glasses gave me vertigo, and then found a 10-pack of daily use contacts. He told me to only wear them for a few hours when absolutely necessary. I honestly do not know what I would have done without the wonderful folks at Chili Vision! Even though I live in the city now, I will always make the 20 minute trek to stay with this wonderful team.
