Well there appear to be two kinds of reviews, those that absolutely love the place and those that don't. I belong to the first group even though I've never been here before and will probably never come here again. I travel the country going to dog parks and so use different nail salons all over the country. Although I cannot say this place was the least expensive, it certainly wasn't outrageous. But the detail to the work done by the lady that did my nails was second to none. Had I known the end before the beginning I would have probably paid twice as much because it was just that good. I do have some challenges as I have one limb that went on strike and quit working, might have been because of the accident. Went in last weak to get my nails done with my bestie . Nail polish colors were ver out dated and looks old so I decided to get a power dip with a tip and I talked my friend into it as well . My nails last 3 days clear coat started to peel off the lady cut me 4 times and she was very rushed and they were not even busy adding all pics to provide proof . I walked in and got the best pedicure ever. The man was so gentle taking off my old gel. SO many color options. I'm now sitting in the chair for the second time with a new tech. Today was my second time going to Pearl. The first time was a couple of months ago - I got a pedicure and dip manicure then. My pedicure lasted about 10 minutes and I barely got to soak my feet. My dip manicure was so thick, it looked bad. Today, I walk in, waited a few minutes and was not even acknowledged by a worker. One of the customers sitting down said that they were waiting on pedicures, so I just picked out my color, and sat down. I was very disappointed. The young man that did my manicure only spoke when he told me to pay him. Not one word. Then he left me sitting under the nail dryer for almost 40 minutes...way after my nails were dry. He was busy doing someone else and just completely forgot me. Took my daughter there today for us to get a pedicure... They sat me at a broken pedicure chair then when they went to move me after I requested to have a pedicure chair that actually gave me a back massage they slipped on my flip-flops straight out of the water..... did not dry my feet off at all. Needed to find a nice salon in Foley and stumbled across Pearl Nails This is a top rate salon and really clean The staff are really friendly and did a great job on my manicure and pedicure They offered me something to drink and put a little gift in my purse ( a buffer and. Emery board ) The salon is decorated beautifully and I was extremely impressed ( I travel around the country and end up in many different salons ) Prices are comparable to any other salon I have been in I am definitely returning to Pearl Nails !!!!! read more

My expectation when sent to a tech's chair is that service is imminent. So when that did not happen I just did not feel valued as a client and left. Tried here a few times over the last year. Will not be returning. Seems like it's hit or miss --one time OK, next time not-so-much. Don't know if it's the quality of product, or the quality of workmanship but mani and pedi both look shabby after a few days. A friend recommended this place, so I decided to try it. It's ok IF you go to the right lady. If you get the guy, he doesn't do a good job. Very bad work, crooked, & looks like a 5 year old painted them. Had to go back to get them fixed. The ladies do a better job & I would've stayed here if they were more consistent with their prices. My first set was $25, then $28, & this last time it was $36!!! With no explanation even when I asked. I visited Pearl Nails today for a set of nails and a pedi. Soon after I settled into the pedicure chair and the lady started, I saw a cockroach come out from under the side of my chair. The lady noticed after a second and mashed him with her foot before returning back to mine, not cleaning it up. Gross!! Then, I notice a smaller baby roach crawling on the tables separating the pedicure chairs with all of their tools. By this point I really wanted to get up and run! As soon as I'm considering getting out of there, the other lady comes to start my nails. By the end of the visit the pedi and nails were sub-par and the roaches were waaaay too much for me. First time here and not thrilled. The shop is pretty nice, and they have about 10 massage/tub chairs. The staff works quickly to get you in and out. The water temp was nice and we weren't in a hurry so didn't mind soaking for 20 min. BUT.....then they did my pedicure first. They do a poor job of callus softening/removal, they rubbed lotion into my legs but not much of a massage, and the paint job was worse than what I do with my non-dominant hand. My daughter still has rough calluses and her paint is already peeling...we left there SEVEN hours ago! The cost per pedi was $25....but I will be looking for other recommendations before we return here next time. Not a horrible experience, just not great. read more

One star is extremely generous. I was in the salon about three weeks ago. Not only was my mani horrible, but the guy that did my pedicure highly embarrassed me. I got a gel manicure. I came in with perfectly cut/shaped nails. I just needed my cuticles trimmed and gel polish applied. She filed my nails not even strait across I had to ask her to fix twice. Then, she did a horrible job and the polish pooled in the cuticles and I wound up soaking off immediately upon arriving home. The gentleman that did my pedicure was So unprofessional. I have very muscular and thick calves. When he was scrubbing my feet, he started chuckling and made a motion like it was hard for him to pick up my leg and motioned like the was throwing a sack of potatoes over his shoulder. Not relaxing at all. I would not recommend. The only thing about the salon is that it's pretty, but the attitudes and the quality of work is poor and I will drive elsewhere next time. I usually am very happy with their work. I have been going here for a few months, but today I got a pedi and a fill. When I got there just 2 were working. They did my pedicure then the next woman did my fill. She watched a video the whole time she was doing my nails!! She had it in a drawer and was watching. I commented on it, but she just grunted..I asked her when they closed and she barked at me that hey closed at 6:30!!! I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely at a business in my life. We went for two manicures. One of the manicurist was delightful and attentive. However, the other women raised her voice and was yelling rudely while giving a terrible job on the manicure. I've been going here recently because it's close to work and easier than traveling out of my way. I decided to go have my nails done for my wedding here Monday with a friend and we were both there to get gel, I showed the lady my picture and I assumed she thought it was powder. She she gave me the dipping power, I'm not picky so I went with it. I asked for them to be a little shorter, she got an attitude and rolled her eyes so I explained why I wanted them shorter and she never said a word. My friend got her gel and the lady didn't file them even at all leaving them crooked and didn't paint the entire nail, there were gaps where the gel was missing on most sides of her nails. So we thought we'd let the lady who was doing mine fix hers no problem but she had an attitude when we asked if she could fix them which she didn't even really fix.. They are still missing some gel in some places. There are normally other ladies there but this time it was only these 2 and a guy. $105 for bad service.
