This was our first time ever leaving our 4 dogs so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The Pocono Pet Nanny's Bed and Biscuit is probably one of the nicest and cleanest places I have ever seen.There are several themed rooms along with beds, TVs and music playing. There is a fenced in area that the dogs can go out to run and do their "business" which worked out well for my dogs since they are used to a fenced backyard. The check in process was great. Jan is very organized and takes lots of notes on each dog. She allowed me to bring in our dogs' bedding, crates and bowls which was fantastic because our dogs were so used to their own things. I will admit I was crying when I left the dogs  but knew I made the BEST decision leaving them with her. Throughout my trip I received texts and pictures updating me on each of my dogs. Never once did I question if my dogs were okay: I knew they were in the best of hands!  Thanks to Jan and her staff, my family and I were able to enjoy our first trip ever. I had such peace of mind! Prior to booking our dogs' stay, Jan was great at communicating with us and never hesitated to answer my (many, many) questions. I was a bit nervous because our one dog is very food aggressive. Jan had no problem taking him in and even fed him in a separate area. She and her staff are "pet people" and truly have love and compassion for animals. Our family never traveled because we did not want to leave our dogs, but I have a feeling our visit with the Pocono Pet Nanny might change things for us. We had a long work trip + vacation, and we hired Tom to look after our new kitten. Everyday Tom sent me a picture of Harry and sat with her for at least an hour. We go on vacation every Memorial Day weekend but this year was different, as we had recently adopted a 4 year old Lab mix with anxiety issues around strangers. Sean had been a great asset to me in the three months leading up to vacation with a lot of great knowledge and advice to help our new dog adapt, so of course we contacted him about watching them for the long weekend (we also have an 11 year old Jack Russell who is fine with people and other dogs). We thought it would be best to keep them at our home together and have Sean come over multiple times a day for feedings walks and playtime. His rates were beyond reasonable and I trusted him with our new dog and her special requirements. He came to our home to meet the dogs the week before and asked for a basic routine that we follow and any behavioral and training issues we were working on so he could stick with them. He sent us updates daily as well as some pictures of the dogs hanging out and playing with him. And, though she doesn't normally do this, she even let him put his hand on her by the third day which surprised us greatly. We have another vacation scheduled in September and will 100% be having Sean watch our dogs. Now that his boarding rooms are fully operational we also feel comfortable having that as an option and having the dogs together at his home (it is important to mention that his boarding house is run out of his own residential home. This, to me, ensures that the facilities are clean and we'll kept and that he is always very close by in the event of an emergency or any other issue. It is absolutely a giant slice of peace of mind.) Even with the Lab's anxiety issues I trust him to help her and work with her and keep her happy and healthy in a new environment while we are away.
