She shot photos of my dog wearing some of the pet products I handmade as well as photos of her and I! My dog is now 75 pounds and the first time we did photos she was a brand new puppy and the second time just over a year, if you can image it's difficult for a pup to focus at these ages but Alison made it a breeze! She had all kinds of treats and toys to get my dogs attention and even came up with creative ideas with things like peanut butter and confetti! She is so kind, sweet and gentle and got to know our pup before shooting her to ensure she knew exactly what my dog responds best to. I would recommend Alison to anyone and use her again and again! We reached-out last minute during a holiday weekend hoping to capture some memories as we passed through San Diego on a road trip with the pup. Allison was super responsive, gave us all the details we needed and even worked out a package that worked better for us as we were traveling in. We had so much fun (humans and dog alike) during the session itself and it was especially great to see how quickly our dog warmed up to Allison. With an older dog, we weren't sure if he would should the enthusiasm outdoors with a stranger but Allison really naturally brought out his playful nature. We ended up with a great balance of dedicated dog pictures as well as some amazing family shots. The final pictures were incredible - our pup's personality really shone through! Michaela was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish -- from connecting quickly after inquring, to making sure we had all our expectations set and questions answered, support leading up to the photoshoot with outfit recommendations and personalized location suggestions, during the shoot, and the absolutely wonderful photos and product selection process afterwards! If you have any reservations that your dog may not be good for a photography session, or question whether it is worth booking.. I have every faith that Michaela at BMAC Photography can give your dog the best day, capture all the smiles, and make it worth every single penny just like she did for us! Arya has always been camera shy and slightly anxious, so I was super worried we wouldn't be able to get any good shots or she would be a frustrating pet to work with, but Michaela was amazing at directing and had all the tricks (and treats!) to get those picture perfect angles. She also offered the utmost patience and did not mind spending multiple tries to get one shot, and ultimately made it a fun, happy, and calming experience where our pup just ended up having a super fun day of cuddles and play! And it did not stop there! The photo reveal session had me sobbing! The photos were so beautiful, were composed into in the most thoughtful presentation, and Michaela was so supportive helping us take the time to decide which photos we ultimately loved best for print. She was also super open to feedback and edit requests when it came to the composition of the album we got -- letting us customize the binding and outside book cover, as well as page layout. Most of all, I cannot share just how amazing Michaela was to us as a person! Offering empathy towards our situation and showing genuine care for Arya, working with the relatively tight schedule we had trying to get things done based on our girl's hair regrowth and onco schedule, and a generously gifted acrylic for us to cherish forever. She truly goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! We cannot thank you enough and will cherish these photos and the experience forever! And we strongly encourage any pet parents considering a photographer, to look no further than Michaela and BMAC Pet Photography!
