One of those was Thompson Roofing, owned by Norm Thompson. Norm did a walk around with me and we discussed the job in detail. He is very knowledgeable, and offered a number of ideas and options to meet our requirements. He took all of the measurements needed to prepare a quote. Once I received all 5 quotes, I saw that Norm's quote was neither the lowest, or highest, but was very detailed, and gave us options that we had requested. We were stuck on shingle color due to fact we are going to change exterior siding and trim color in the spring. We narrowed the colors down to two, and he had houses in the area that had the specific color shingle we were trying to decide between. Made it much easier than just looking at the small samples. Once we picked Thompson Roofing, Norm kept us apprised of the schedule. We mutually agreed on the project dates. On the morning of, his crew arrived early and was ready to go. Norm was also on-site, ensuring everything was in place and made sure our expectations were being met. The crew worked very efficiently and effectively. Stopped for a short lunch break and they were back on the roof. They worked straight through and finished as the sun was beginning to set. Thoroughly cleaned our property so one would ever know they had been there. Only after the job was completed to our satisfaction did the payment come up. Not once did he ever ask for anything up front. He puts his trust in his customers, which is commendable. My wife asked him if he provided a discount for paying in cash. Randall and Son is hands down the best around and I recommend them without hesitation…read more I live in Schaumburg and we were hit with a freak hail storm in July last year that directly hit my house with golf ball and grape sized hail for about half an hour. Needless to say, the roof, deck and the siding of my house took a severe beating. I heard about Randall from a friend, so I gave them a ring and the owner, Ed, handled everything from the beginning like a pro. He came to my house and met with my State Farm claims representative when they came out to inspect the damage, which really put my mind at ease because I know insurance companies can be shady about what they cover. Thankfully, they determined that my whole house was totaled so there was no back and forth over that. Because my roof wasn't leaking, I asked Ed if we could hold off on doing all of the work until spring when I was sure no more hail storms would be blowing through, and he was incredibly accommodating and allowed me to schedule the work for mid-March. His actual team that did the work was awesome, especially Tito. Ed took care of all dealings with the insurance company, which was so appreciated since I'm a new homeowner and frankly had no idea what I was doing. I wish I could give these guys 10 stars instead of 5 because they truly earned it. After both their public adjuster and the USAA adjuster came out; Halo abruptly quit communicating with us and our insurance adjuster. Due to that lack of communication on their part, our insurance ultimately denied it saying that there was no hail reported that day, because Halo did not respond with the correct information. (Or any information, to our understanding.) If you are looking for storm damage repair. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

He came out and assessed EVERYTHING--Our house roof, garage roof, soffit and fascia, gutters, downspouts - you name it! He even went into our attic to check it out! Mike was here a few hours talking to us about options. Talk about turnaround, we had quote for everything that night! He was honest with us telling us we didn't need to do certain items. Any other company would have sold us on anything and everything - Mike is not that type of guy, he is honest and direct with what is needed. After dealing with a nightmare of a storm-chaser it was a breath of fresh air to have Mike on site. We decided to move forward with DynaFlow. After choosing the roof color and notifying Mike of our decision, he was out within days for the installation. The guys were at our house promptly at 730am. Mike was onsite the day of to make sure everything was smoothly. He sent me pictures during the day to keep me updated! They were completed in one day.
