The food is consistently very good as well which I think is unusual based on what I hear about other facilities. The activities director is great - she has live music events with dancing, happy hours with nice appetizers, games, movies, manicures, outings, etc. - so many fun and engaging activities. She loves teaching kids and she is the absolute best in the county at it. My kids tried out a couple of other schools in Bend before we found Eco-Kidz. After the first week we went from 3 days to 5 days a week because they begged me to go every day she was open. There was no complaining in the morning, no reminding them to get into the car... they were READY TO GO! She has an unbelievable set up at her school. Her Angel Bear Yoga and Meditation was amazing because my kids got more focused, calmer and paid attention better at home because of it. (I think this helped them learn much faster.) Even after we moved out to Sisters they begged me to bring them to her school one day a week so they could still enjoy her curriculum, which I did. They get to travel around the world, learn art by creating all sorts of things, science by growing things, mixing things together and tending to animals, take on animal and human characters in colorful, silly costumes, enjoy the specialized play areas, games and then... there is the awesome play yard. This school is SPECIAL. Today, 3 years later, my kids are both ONE YEAR AHEAD in Math and English... and it's all thanks to Eco-Kids. They learned how to LOVE LEARNING here. My experience in the past (in other states) has taught me that I do best with a "hands on" approach rather than being one of several patients whose exercises are monitored by a single PT for 45 minutes each week. Jamie is exactly what I was looking for... He spends 70 minutes at my home and uses a variety of techniques to treat muscle and misalignment issues. He also prescribes exercises to improve strength and increase mobility and range of motion. Having him come to my home has been a huge blessing, not only in terms of convenience but also in that he is able to evaluate how things like my sleeping position could be impacting my chronic pain issues. Jamie has a geniune interest in seeing his patients improve and is not opposed to suggesting other forms of therapy if he feels they are indicated. We all know that physical therapy can be painful at times. Jamie's compassion and professionalism go a long way toward making the experience as "tolerable" as possible.

On his first visit, he determined that my pelvis was misaligned which caused my SI joint to slip, which caused my right leg to be shorter than the left, which caused misalignment of my right knee, which had resulted in torn meniscus in my right knee and a meniscus surgery a year prior. He gave me exercises to perform at home between visits, made suggestions on proper hiking techniques to prevent the SI joint from slipping; and if it did slip, how to place it back into place on my own. And the best part...he comes to your home for therapy sessions. Now how convenient is that?!

They claim to be all about choice, but they do not refer for birth control or for abortion, which is what my friend knew she would want had she been pregnant. You can't learn about all of your options free from bias at this facility, and as far as I can tell you can't get all of the services which you can get at licensed medical facilities.
