The carpark is a…read morebit of a nightmare, a concrete paradise where no-one is totally sure who has right of way, when you park you have the joy of the lifts or stairs which equally smell of a combination of cleaning fluid and stale urine. Don't get me wrong, i quite like the chantry centre, as although it does have its failings, at the same time it does not try to be a destination but merely a place to shop which is what it is designed for! There isn't a cafe every other store, the only places to get a drink or food are grouped together away from the other stores. There is a nice selection of high street shops, nothing to exciting, but enough to allow you to potter about to get the bits you need all in one place. The toilets should be avoided at all costs, as they are truly awful!

The seasonal department is really good, the store always does fantastic displays which gives you great ideas to copy! The craft department has a good art section and the prices are really reasonable for branded art materials. They also stock obscure items for sewing and knitting! Things you actually want and need aswell unlike some shops which only offer things you dont really want but buy as they are on offer. They sell everything you could need, first is beauty products from make up to hair dye, cleaning stuff, bedroom furniture and paint, food, childrens toys, photo frames, books, fake christmas tree's, perfect gifts, gazebos and garden furniture. They only do baskets, which you will end up filling to the brim with complete bargins, the shop is well laid out and easy to navigate, staff are never very far away and always on hand to help.

Quite impressive for the breadth of products stocked, including toiletries and pet food, to paint and seasonal items as well as hardware for the home. A nice coke cooler provides coke cola, at just the right price and temp, as well as a decent confectionery area. Checkouts always well manned and the lower levels of service on the shop floor are covered by much lower prices. However much of what they sell isnt such a bargain as its much lower quality good, so be carefully and grab a good item for a decent price rather than a poor one for a low price

Theres hardly anything interesting in there to see, seeing as the larger department stores like Debenhams and BHS is in close reach. Beales has really outdated itself making itsself a failure. There product range is poor, the items are pricey, the customer service is very poor and all seem to be stuck up attitude. The interior design is extremely poor and lighting is bad. If this store doesn't improve, it will definitely go down hill.

There are three floors (as per usual) which are jam packed full of things to peruse and buy! The womenswear floor is large with a wide range of items for women of any taste. They have a Coast branch inside and a big collection of fancy dresses to suit. The homeware floor is big as well with quite a decent range of kitchen utensils which is nice because a lot of stores skimp on things like this. All in all the store is nice and bright, it can get a bit congested on the escalators and in the lobby though so be careful.
