I remember when Peacocks, like Primark, was seen as a stuffy fuddy duddy shop. It's somewhere I milled around in while my Gran was browsing the pleated skirts. But then, within the last decade Peacocks suddenly went cool-ish. I also found it great for shoes and accessories (sunglasses, hairbands, jewellery). I dub it the original Primark and my loyalty remains. Then it went much cooler even enlisting Brit model Daisy Lowe to design a range of amazing dresses - one of which I managed to pick up for a fiver (reduced from £40). The Bristol Peacocks is brilliant, there's always a well stocked sale section at the back of the store and all the best pieces at the front where you walk in. And the maternity section makes me want to get pregnant (or fat) purely so I can don the clothes. Yay Peacocks! read more
