Fantastic hosts and a warm welcome each time I have been. Also a great venue for a party, there is room at the back which can accommodate a band, buffet and around 70 guests (my sister had her 40th there). My first impressions were that it seemed to be a very nice traditional pub with a good atmosphere and friendly bar staff. A good selection of beer, fair prices and a nice seating lay out. However the buffet food was absolutely vile. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. At £6.50 a head to eat as much as you like you can find much better in Hillsborough. I felt I had wasted my money and felt ill for the rest of the evening and the next day. I'm very rarely one to ever complain about food but this was bad. The only good thing about it was the soup for starters and I wished I'd just had about 6 bowls of that instead of any of the main courses. As soon as we finished we left and we won't be back again.

Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant.
