I couldn't wait anymore for an appt with my LA estheticians and called to many places around town for a specific type of service. Much to my dismay I couldn't find a local spa that offered what I wanted. FORTUNATELY I found her online and booked an appointment for the next day. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to find a quaint location near downtown that spoke to the "spa" feeling I was hoping for. Nice cozy seating area, with that lovely spa sent of lavender in the air. Good assortment of product on the shelves. The owner and esthetician Elia Brummell greeted me right away and took me to the room after paperwork was filled. The room was immaculate with all her waxing product extremely clean and organized. She was very professional and thorough in her explanation on her services and during the appointment. It felt pretty clean but by far it was the most expensive and the worst acrylic fill I have ever gotten. I keep my nails totally basic. I don't even usually get color on them just nude acrylic powder and clearcoat. This is what I asked for, but somehow it ended up with polish. My nails are not shaped well and there are rough uneven edges. Lots of Dips & bumps and just don't look right. To be honest I am kind of embarrassed of them. They def don't look like I just got them freshly filled. I did have a broken nail, which would add to the cost, but I still think that a little over $70 was quite steep. The lady was nice and friendly, but I will not be returning. I don't mind paying the price if the finished result looks nice. I am very disappointed to say the least. I was really hoping that I had found a new nail salon to visit often. Unfortunately I will not be returning.
