I had a great experience here! Quick, efficient, and the nurses and PA were friendly and helpful. I was in and out in about 30 min.

I literally downloaded Yelp just to leave this place one star. This "walk-in clinic" has zero…read moreregard for appointment times. I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment, got a text to check in, so I went inside. Big mistake. The people next to me said they'd already been waiting an hour. When I asked the front desk why they would text me to come in if they're that far behind, I was told there's still at least an hour wait. So let me get this straight: I'm sick, you tell me to check in, then refuse to let me wait in my car because "patients need to wait inside"? Why? So we can all sit shoulder-to-shoulder, coughing on each other, while you run an hour behind schedule? If every patient is on time and you're just piling us up in a waiting room, you're not running a clinic--you're running a hostage situation. If you're this behind, don't text patients to come in and then not allow us to leave if we want to hold our appointment time??

Beware of price gouging and sketchy business practices!…read more I came in for an insect bite, and I saw one of the NPs and his student. The visit lasted a total of 30 minutes with less than 10 minutes of time spent with the actual provider. They prescribed me some cream and steroid pills. A couple weeks later I received my bill which was over $400! This was with the practice being covered by insurance and my insurance company covering a portion of the charge. Not only that, but the provider listed was an MD who practices in Atlanta. The codes they used for the visit were also not appropriate for the visit duration and type. I tried to contact them and get the codes changed for the visit, but they kept making excuses for how they could use the codes that they did. I decided it ultimately wasn't worth the hassle, but I will certainly NOT be back!

I used to regularly go to this Reddy Aid until a chronic issue started to appear…read more The staff tried the best that they could to help me figure out what it was, but this is a place that works to solve the symptoms, and they don't exactly have the system in place to walk through more persistent and chronic issues. However, the reason I'm giving this place two stars is because of my treatment with billing. A series of tests I had done were sent to Lab Corp, which was not listed under my insurance at that time. My insurance was not able to cover the labs, which came out to charge me $909 (usually my labs cost me 105~). This was back in April, and I was informed by Reddy Aid that: 1. It is not their responsibility to know which lab is under my insurance or not (I now make sure I know which labs are in network and which are not, but I've had experience at Peachtree Urgent Care where they make SURE to send your labs out to the proper networks, so I am damn sure this in Reddy Aids wheelhouse and they have the capabilities to do this.) 2. Send in a letter of Financial Hardship and they will see what they can do. It took them five months. FIVE MONTHS. To get back to me and tell me the bill wasn't their responsibility, that it was the responsibility of the lab who charged me. It should not have taken me five months to hear back about this, and risk having this bill sent to collections while I try to figure this out. This is on top of REPEATEDLY calling billing to try and ask for a status update. This is unfortunately an expense that I have to take, and I'm now more mindful of learning what is exactly in network with my insurance and what isn't in network, but this lab should not have been sent out of network to begin with, and it definitely should not have taken almost half a year for them to simply dig their heels in and reject something that is most certainly in their power. If you find yourself in a position where you need to see an Urgent Care, I would recommend going to Peachtree on Baxter. I will not be returning here.

I have been a practicing RN for over 42 years and I am appalled by their lack of knowledge, empathy and professionalism. They have called in inaccurate medications to my pharmacy, refused to refill blood pressure, cholesterol and thyroid medication during the height of the pandemic which affected my health. The office on Sunset is very dirty and the overall care is terrible. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

I began when Dr. Hawn was still the main doctor there, and it has steadily gone downhill since she randomly walked out of work and never came back. My most recent issue with them led me to post here. I take prescribed anxiety medication daily, and cannot skip a day without feeling cloudy and miserable. A couple of months ago, upon trying to fill my medication with my pharmacy, I was told that I was out of refills and this needed to call my prescriber. However, in the time between my last-filled prescription and my now-pending one contingent on APC sending my prescription through, they had hired Margaret Opare-Ado, a nurse practitioner who has taken over the practice. Instead of understanding that I could not go without my medication (especially for days at a time) her nurse demanded that Margaret needed to see me before refilling my medication. This was annoying, but I complied. Not wanting to go through the same situation again, I requested, at my first visit with Margaret, that she send my medication to CVS mail order pharmacy in 90-day increments. It took 4 months of me going between CVS Caremark and the nurses and receptionists at "Athens Family Medicine" to see my mail order prescription to fruition. The nurse got snappy with me a couple of times, and even told me on one occasion that it was my fault for "not checking to see if my medication's prescription was fulfilled until I was almost out of my monthly script" (which I kept having to get refilled in months increments at Kroger while waiting for the mail order to get sorted out). Come to find out, after roughly my 5th call with CVS Caremark customer service, I find out that MARGARET HERSELF HAD NOT CHANGED HER PRESCRIBER INFORMATION IN THE SYSTEM. That's why my medication wasn't being fulfilled. I am changing doctors because of the poor attitude of the staff here, as well as Margaret's ignorance to simple formalities/procedures that have inhibited me (and I'm sure many others) from reviving their medications. Don't waste your time with this place.
