Pdsa is a small charity shop but it's usually possible to find something worth buying. The staff are friendly and helpful and the products are neatly laid out, though the shop is a little cramped. Prices are probably average if a little cheaper than average for a charity shop.
They are increasingly selling more new products, which though clearly works for them, I personally prefer charity shops to make use of donations so to re-use unwanted things rather than produce more. And as the new products are rather cheap and also need to be made cheaply in order to make maximum profits for the charity, there is an obvious danger that factories used for production are likely to be ethically questionable. This is just speculation, but it does seem that selling so many new products adds an unnecessary layer of complication to what could be a win-win, look-after-the-environment-and-pets-at-the-same-time situation.
