If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have bought products a number of times from PC world Guildford because of its convenience, not its service. I went in to purchase a Surface Pro 3 for my final year at university. After waiting over 20 minutes for a member of staff to help, I was finally greeted with an unapologetic 'hi'. The member of staff was unable to tell me if the computer I wanted to buy would be able to do anything I was asking and had to consult google on his phone to explain the amount of RAM I would need. When I agreed to buy a model, I was then told I would need to buy several other components including the keyboard, the pen and the mouse separately. Despite me knowing that the unit should come with a stylus, I was told it would not be and I had to buy it separately. When he brought out the box, I showed him that it does in fact come with the pen. He continued to try to sell it to me regardless. After then messing up the sale on their system he then told me if I not pay the 45 pound service charge to upgrade my operator from Windows 8.1 to 10 the unit could 'crash and die' and I would be unable to get it fixed at all. He didn't explain any further than this. Clearly he thought I was stupid and the whole experience left me confused and irritated. After getting home, I then realised he had sold me all the wrong parts. The keyboard and the screen protector were for a different model. I returned to the shop the same day to find I would have to wait to receive the actual keyboard I would need. I payed for next day delivery, returned two days later and found that the delivery had still not been made. I received no apology or helpful advice. I managed to finally collect and install everything three days later. The whole experience was terrible. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. No one approached or offered themselves to help. Many members of staff simply wandered around the floor chatting to each other. I would not recommend buying from this store or PC world. read more
