I was asked for an explanation regarding my cancelation of their services, if I pleased, again no response. The only individuals responsive to me were those expediting the movement of my funds to them. I emailed with questions about the 1-3% return on my accounts and heard "give it more time". Then I called to speak to my advisor...actually I wasn't sure who to call...and the response was that "That individual was no longer with Drake." I paid an absolutely HUGE amount of money in capital gains taxes in 2025. They had sold excellent stock I had purchased 30 years ago in a one-size- fits all plan I'm supposing. They did not provide any tax planning...They are a disgrace. Don't let the crumpets and tea distract you.

The student was quiet but did a great job. Her instructors helped when needed and gave suggestions which she followed. The cost is minimal compared to a salon or other hair cut facilities. So if time is a factor, it may not be for you but if cost is the main consideration, you can't beat it.

I stopped in today because I had to cancel my regular hair appointment and needed a quick refresh--a V-cut cleanup and a pedicure before an upcoming vacation. You really can't beat the prices here, and the location is super convenient right off Hwy 100 and the freeway. That said, your experience really depends on the student you're paired with. Some are more confident, engaged, and eager to learn than others--which makes a big difference in the overall service. The same student did both my pedicure and haircut. The pedicure was good overall--the lotions and massage were really nice--but I was a little disappointed they no longer remove dead skin, which is something I personally look for. Color selection is somewhat limited, but still decent. My haircut was pretty simple--just a cleanup with added layers. The instructor did step in to guide the student, and while it wasn't done exactly right at first, the instructor finished it off and it ended up looking good and much healthier. I also got a shampoo with a really nice scalp massage, which was a highlight. I do like supporting the students and the learning environment, but it's important to go in with realistic expectations. It's a great option for affordable services--you just have to remember they're still learning.

I've never seen detail as I saw in the assessment. I've also never seen results like my kids got. My neighbor asked "who is that kid" because her personality blossomed so much.

Miss Marlene, the teacher and owner, is an excellent teacher, artist, and just a delightful person all around. I highly recommend them!
