He asked me to move my truck (not taking up needed pumps) kind of confused I looked back at my truck then Said "uhh okay no problem, do you have a bathroom though" and he shouts across the store with "YES WE DO BUT OKAY LEAVE!!" me being shocked I was like what? Because I'm parked at a pump? The man proceeds to yell at me and tell me to leave. I go to my truck and he comes out on the phone with what I assume is the police so I asked him to give them my phone number and if I should wait for them. Sounds weird but honestly the craziest experience I've had in a long time I literally just needed to pee and was going to buy a snack. I'm a working man, not a crackhead or weirdo and very calm. I'm so shocked by this interaction in a small town like Bellingham.

This sweet little market opened up in the long-empty spot formerly occupied by Gifford's Market,…read moreand is a much needed addition to the Columbia neighborhood. It offers pretty much your typical convenience store fare: candy, cigs, chips, drinks, a small selection of groceries, and (of course) beer. It's a great place to pop in if you need something quick and don't want to make the trek to the supermarket. They also offer a great selection of local beer as well as the usual national brands. Would be great to see them expand to offer a growler bar or even a deli - both of which would surely be popular in this area!

I like this grocery store much. I can find a lot of European (most of them are Ukrainian and…read moreRussian, but there are some German and Polish goodies as well) candies and chocolate here. A lot of canned goods, different kinds of teas. A big variety of deli meats, smoked fish, and cheese. Secret hint: try the sweet, cream cheese bars (look for them in the freezer), the ones in an orange package (maybe called 'Dadu', but not sure). They are flavored with condensed milk, and covered in chocolate. Oh my gosh, amazingly good, a bite of Eastern Europe :) The staff is really friendly. You can ask for help anytume, they will help you out. That is the main reason I shop here, rather than at the other similar store in Bham (Europa Market), and I also find the prices a slightly cheaper here. The only con is that they don't really sell alcohol here (ok, the other store has a lot of Russian/Ukrainian beer, champagne, wine, so if you want those, you do have to go there)

I love this dairy and began craving their ice cream before I even left the house, knowing I'd be passing by one of the Edaleens on my way to Vancouver. The young folks who work here are always really pleasant and don't mind you tasting several of the ice creams before making your final decision. I was so thrilled to try the fudgy wudgy and passion fruit guava this time - a departure from my usual choices, and oh so good! Seems like I'm always crossing the border with an ice cream cone in one hand these days - I'm sure they are used to it by now!

I'm pretty boring, so I got mint chocolate chip, but you can combine them and make a unique flavor profile just for you. My friend got butter pecan and coffee chocolate chip, which was pretty amazing. It was friendly, the place was clean, and it was easy to just pop in. It's pretty inexpensive and worth the stop. The store is decently big, and their selection includes not just ice cream but ice cream cakes, tubs to take home, and milkshakes. Pull in, get a treat, and enjoy!

Everyone loved their sandwiches - correct type of meat, great bread, perfect ratios. The fries were crispy and delicious. We ordered a side of poutine and they were tastier than ones we had in Toronto! The food was all priced reasonably (13.99/combo). There are picnic benches right outside so we just copped a squat there. Very convenient if you are hopping on/off the ferry, but definitely worth the drive for these eats.

I could immediately tell upon walking in that white guilt and a love for seitan was a prerequisite for shopping here. Shades of Zoey's "Free Earth Collective" grocery store in SBC's "The Dictator" come to mind. Nevertheless, I chose a selection of foods from the salad bar and the hot bar and brought them back to my hotel. -- I was pleasantly surprised at the quality -- very organic, very fresh, high quality foods. I would definitely consider this a great option for quick, healthy food if you're not too hot on cooking at home. Moderate checkout lines during rush hour -- don't expect rapid service - it's a co-op .......bring your patience.
