My. Dog. Loves. Bobbi. We've been using Pawsitive Pets for doggy daycare and boarding for the past several years up until last year when the business moved out of the Hayward area. We continue to use Pawsitive Pets for boarding when my husband and I go out of town for business or vacation. This is a home business, not a huge facility. There are benefits to both large and small daycare facilities. I rotate my Nala between both and that works well for her. The environment Bobbi provides at Pawsitive Pets is similar to what my dog gets at home - a comfy and calm space to relax, quiet time, a yard, walks, cuddles, one on one time with one of her favorite people in the world. And also reinforcement of good home behavior, like don't eat off the kitchen table, don't bark nonstop for hours on end, don't jump on the kitchen counter, don't crap on the carpet, etc. Plus there are a small number of other dogs for Nala to play with. It used to hurt my feelings when Nala would joyously drag me to the door at daycare drop off. Once I'd hand off the leash to Bobbi, my precious baby puppy dog that I love so much would happily walk away and leave me behind without a second look. Back then, I felt that leaving her in good safe hands with Bobbi was worth that sting. It's the same with boarding drop offs now. Despite how many months have passed, Nala still remembers Bobbi, still joyously drags me along for the ride to greet her, still has the same energetic happy wiggle butt. Nala greets her good friend with the same enthusiasm, excitement, and trust as before, but now there is no sting. I leave my precious baby puppy dog feeling very appreciative of Bobbi and knowing my Nala will be happy, safe and cared for while I'm away. read more

I give this business the worst rating you could possibly give,did everything this lady asked for far enough in advance,told her about our dogs,but she contacts me two days in says everything is good.Even as far as to say one dog was a sweetie,then day before I come home tells me,one dog bit her twice?....and get this our sweet little girl had jus been spayed,cone was suppose to be on 14 days,but she says she notify her vet? And they say to take it off? Who does this?Now looks like stitch area is infectedand get this? Because one dog peed on her rug,and tells me day I'm coming home she is charging me 35.00? I was in an unusual predicament and desperately needed overnight dog care for three days. Plan A was busy and Plan B fell through unexpectedly. I contacted fellow dog lovers in my life and, thankfully, one of them referred me to Bobbi (thanks Darcy from Top Dog!) My little old ladies - they're 12 years old - are senior citizens and one has special needs because she has diabetes and is blind. The people we entrust with them have been in our lives for just as long as our pups have been alive. To leave our golden girls for a day - let alone three - with someone new made us a bit anxious. Thankfully, Bobbi came highly recommended and when I took our dogs over and met Bobbi in person, I could tell they were in good hands. Bobbi is comfortable giving insulin shots which she had to do twice a day as it is vital to the health of our diabetic dog. Bobbi also sent us texts and photos almost every night to give us updates. When it was time to pick up my pups, they were just as good as when I left them in her care. I would absolutely call Bobbi again if and when we need day or overnight care for our dogs. PS: I think it's terrible that Yelp refuses to drop the only 1 star review given to Pawsitive Pets. I know this because I flagged it for review but was given an auto-response stating that the moderators reviewed a previous complaint yet decided to keep it. It's unfair because this is a small local business. More importantly, the 1 star review is inaccurate because the person didn't even utilize her services therefore can't speak to the care provided. Who cares if her dog daycare is held in her home? Many CHILDcare providers also use their home - I should know. My daughter and son were both in home-based daycare when they were babies. In both instances as well with Pawsitive Pets, it's about the quality of care and safety, not if it's a commercial location. read more

Bobbi is awesome :) i left my very best friend with her, unsure how it would work out (Bella is a very strong-willed dog) ... she came back spoiled, happy, and looking & smelling absolutely wonderful ! Bella was taking medication at the time, and Bobbi handled that like a champ (she even sent her back with some little food snacks to put her medication inside, to make it easier to give her a pill ;) i will never take my dogs anywhere else, from an owner who worries about their dogs as much as their children, it's so reassuring to know Bella has a place to stay that she loves as much as home, thank you very much Bobbi !!! read more

I wouldn't leave my dog here, called and the woman sounded sketchy over the phone. She also told me this isn't an actual facility it is her apartment home. Bobbi takes care of cats too! We hired Bobbi recently to take care of our two one-year old cats while we were away on a 8 day trip. She came once a day to feed them, take care of the litter box and also spent time playing with them. She sent a few text messages with pictures during our trip which we enjoyed seeing and it also gave us peace of mind that all was going well back at home. Her customer service is top notch and you can tell after meeting her that she loves animals. We will definitely be using her again the next time we need to travel. read more

Bobbi is the best! Our younger pup wasn't loving the larger facilities with tons of dogs and noise, and he needed some extra exercise and fun while life was keeping us busy. He is a regular doggie daycare visitor and he absolutely adores Bobbi and her playgroup. She also does in-home care for all of our pets (an older, less social dog and two cats) when we're out of town and she's fantastic. One of our regular trips every year takes us away from cell service for 3-4 weeks, and it is a huge relief to know that our pets are in good hands while we're gone. read more

Bobbi was a god send also. I was so so nervous to leave my elder dog and my very precious cat with someone I met once, but the moment I met her I was so put at ease, what a great aura you have and knew my guys were going to be taken care of, she also took care of my blind fish that has to be hand fed which is alot to ask. I am a first time dog owner of a six month old yorkie. I am currently in school, working & volunteering & did not want to create an anxious dog by leaving him home alone for long periods of time. At first I put him in daycare & he hated it. It made me so sad dropping him off there because he did NOT want to be there. Bobbi (owner of Pawsitive Pets) lives near me. I have seen her out playing with the dogs she cares for & really liked what I saw, she obviously had a lot of experience raising and training dogs. I watched as one chihuahua's personality completely changed for the better under her care, after a few short weeks. My pup has been going to her place for daycare for couple weeks now. Every time we get into the vicinity of her house, he gets so excited to see Bobbi & the other dogs. And the icing on the cake? My pup was still using potty pads inside sometimes. Because he could just go wherever at the other daycare, his training was going backwards at times. I asked Bobbi if she wanted me to leave some pads when I first dropped off my puppy, her response was, "no thanks, we are going to teach him to go outside:)))." Pawsitive Pets means what it says: your dog will be in loving care, where his or her training, playing & all around awesomeness will continue to blossom, even while you are away. After having a very bad experience leaving our 2+ year old English bulldog with Petsmart hotel when me and my girlfriend went to Las Vegas for a few days (long story short: almost no pet interactions and staff used cleaning chemicals which burned his testicles), we called and researched pet sitters for our English Bulldog and our new 3.5 month old English Bulldog Puppy. We would tend to leave our dogs with my girlfriend's mother, but the dogs always felt uncomfortable and had a terrible time sleeping. However, our luck finally turned around and we found this amazing service! Bobbi knows exactly what she is doing, and is very knowledgeable. We had specific instructions for Bobbi to follow, as English Bulldogs (especially puppies) require extra care, and she followed them to the T, and then some. Our dogs immediately got along with Bobbi, and the other dogs and puppies Bobbi was looking after. It felt really homey, unlike some other pet boarding services, and surprisingly enough, spelt great and the place was super clean. She would even update us on how they were doing, with pictures and all, and really put our minds at ease knowing our English Bulldogs were being taken care of, because who wants to worry about their loved ones when on vacation? We were very relieved that Bobbi was doing a fantastic job while we were out in Reno. When we returned and picked up our dogs after a few days, they were excited to see us, but you could tell they wanted to stay and continue to play, because that's how comfortable they were with Bobbi. You know someone like Bobbi is a terrific and fun dog sitter when you get your pets back to your own home, and they look bored, haha. We will definitely be leaving our dogs with Bobbi in the future, as me and my girlfriend love to travel, even for just a weekend. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Bobbi is a god send! I had an unexpected vacation and needed someone to look after my elderly labrador and Pawsitive Pets saved the day! I felt the rate was fair (and much lower than other options) and Buddy got to hangout with other dogs while I was away. I had my Buddy stay with Bobbi for 12 days and I received updates every other day as well as pictures of Buddy socializing with other dogs. He probably had more fun there than at home and it was great to see him get along so well with her two small dogs. I will definitely be leaving my boy with them any time I need to be away! Buddy may have had a better vacation that I did and my friends and their pets would agree! read more
