We used DDC before Covid and loved it. We used it in March/April and did not have the same experience. I can't recommend this place anymore.

Nice people who obviously care for dogs. My dog never resists going and seems to enjoy being with the other dogs.

At first I was very, very pleased with how my 5 month old puppy Rue was received by staff at her 2 hour eval and first part time stay. The second part time stay was marred by one employee, a blonde woman, who upon picking up my dog scolded me and told me 'don't bring her back if her nails aren't trimmed'. This caught me off guard; not because of her suggestion, but her tone. She also seemed upset that Rue is "people oriented" stating that when she saw staff, she would run over to them and jump on them. Again, she is 5 months, attends training, is LEARNING and I would prefer my pit mix pup enjoy people versus the opposite. I'll have to reconsider bringing her back, which is truly disappointing. Professionalism goes a long way and i think perhaps this particular staff member could use a cue from Rue and be a bit more people oriented herself. read more

I'm only giving this place 1 star because yelp doesn't you allow to give less. Picked my 2 dogs up today. I usually buy a pass for $700 to save money. Went today and they claimed I had no nights left on the pass. I just bought a pass recently. They track their passes on paper not in a computer so old school get with the times. I paid for the 2 dogs because I wanted my dogs back. Then since I picked up at 3 they claimed you had to pay a full day. I've been coming here for 3 years and always picked up in the afternoon and was never charged. They charged me an extra night for 2 dogs so instead of only 2 nights I had to pay for 3 nights. The manager Erika wasn't nice at all. They called the owner Ana her response was oh well. I will take my business elsewhere and never come back. Do not go here unless you want to be scammed!!! read more

I've boarded my two husky-malamute hellhounds several times here and they're always all smiles when I pick them up. They're also extremely tired and knock out as soon as we get home - so that means they had ample amounts of playtime with each other/other dogs/the caretakers/whatever. I'm grateful to have reliable caretakers for my hellhounds and that they actually like them! Go figure. read more

I love this place. I take my dog FatBoy here and he loves it too. The staff is very friendly. I think her name is Carrie, the owner is really nice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for daycare or boarding for their dog. They don't breed discriminate either. They treat my Pitt mix the same as the other dogs. read more

Delta Dog Camp - Pet Sitting Near Me - Antioch, California

We have been using Delta Dog Camp to board our dogs since we moved to this area in 2013. One of our dogs passed away and we still continued to use them for our other dog. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly until our recent experience..... We made reservations to board our dog the day before we were to leave for Tahoe. It usually isn't a problem since they generally have availability for us (especially since our dog is smaller). A staff member made our reservations but advised us that our dog would need her bordetella shot before she could be boarded. I was able to get an appointment with our vet that same day and my dog received the shot. I called a little later that day to tell them that my dog has the shot and to confirm the reservations. I spoke with Erica (who identified herself as the manager) and she told me that because our dog just got her shot, we would have to wait 4 DAYS before we could board her, which means we could not board her for our trip! On top of that, she said that had our dog not gotten the shot, we had the option of getting a waiver which would have allowed us to board our pet as scheduled! When I told her that her staff member never told us about that option, the only thing she could say was that "it's in the contract and on the web site". No understanding that someone making reservations at a place they have used before would more than likely not have a contract or a web page in front of them when they are making reservations. Erica continued with the conversation by being rude and dismissive towards the situation. We ended up having to cancel the trip because of their lack of communication. We WERE long time clients but we will never use their facilities again. Makes us wish for the days when Tanya and Shelby were on the watch. Never again! read more

My dog Scarlet LOVES Delta Dog Camp! I've been bringing my Labrador Retriever, Scarlet, to this boarding place for YEARS. I used them mostly at their Oakley location, until they opened up this one in Antioch in the last year or so. Scarlet is just ecstatic when I bring her here. I love the fact that they don't keep her kenneled up all day, but that they let her out to play and socialize with the other dogs. She is usually exhausted every time I pick her up, which is great, considering my Lab has tons of energy. The owner's name is Kerry, and she is very pleasant to deal with. I once had an issue with getting Scarlet's shots up to date prior to boarding her, and she recommended a few local places who could help me out right away. I've used a few places around the Antioch/Brentwood area, but found this place to be the best for my dog. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation! read more

Our dog stayed at the Devpar site. Buster's a greyhound, they're special dogs, and it's best to leave them in the care of someone who is familiar with their needs. This place has been my babies second home. They treat my girl like she is part of their family. I have been going to this place for 8 years and could not be happy. When I leave on vacation I call daily and the staff is always helpful. The staff is all wonderful and my girl loves them all. I would not ever consider taking her anywhere else as I know my baby is well taken care of. read more

Delta Dog Camp's owner and staff are all really good and patient with my dog. My dog is still a puppy and she is very timid and shy, so I've been working on breaking her out of her shell. They're the perfect place for my dog to get socialized with other dogs, in a safe and controlled environment. We have used Delta for a year or so after Doggie Day Care closed. We are very pleased with Delta. Our dog is a small dog, and older so he needs a little looking after. I like the separate the dogs by activity level, not size. Our dog is friendly, but too old to run around to much, so he does well with the mellower group. It goes without saying the dogs spend lots of hours in playtime with each other. Staff seems really into dogs, and the also will take care of medication if asked. Recommend to check them out if you need to board your dog. We use the Antioch location. read more

We love Delta Dog Camp and our little Canelo does too. He has been going to the Antioch location since the day they opened. He goes to part time day care for socialization and fun, and he boards there when we can't take him along. We are so comfortable knowing he is cared for so well and we know he is happy there. When we drive up he can hardly contain himself wanting to hurry up and get to the door to be welcomed by any of the staff. The great thing is that the staff is so caring for our family member doggies. They really get to know each dog and what their needs our. I highly recommend Delta Dog Camp. read more

DDC is fantastic! We boarded our terrier mix for a weekend trip and could not have been happier. We were very hesitant to board him as he is a rescue dog that was not socialized and had never been away from us since we rescued him. The staff at DDC Antioch are awesome! Totally relieved our fears and socialized him at his own pace. We were able to bring his own bed and toys without extra charges!!! They eased him into socializing and the place is set up so that he can play if he wants, or just hang out in his own bed. We are so impressed with how relaxed he was when we picked him up AND he's not barking at visitors and other dogs now. We're going off for a longer vacation and am so grateful that DDC is available to watch him. Now we can go and have peace of mind he'll be taking care of. Thanks so much DDC! read more
