Okay - well we had a conversation and during that convo I determined she would a good person to do a dog evaluation (new dog) and determine if we have a workable situation or not. (background - we have an existing dog and a new dog that both need training and a situational evaluation by an experienced dog trainer/behaviorist) So she said to me during our conversation "if i don't call you by 3 PM today call me and let's get a date on the calendar" .... I didn't hear from her by 3 PM so I called her and left her a message. I also emailed her. Now...two weeks later still no contact from her. We are pursuing another trainer/behaviorist that is more responsive. Not sure what happened here and hope Sandra Mannion is okay - but seems she fell of the face of the earth...no contact.

The $60 "consultation" consisted of her talking all about herself including kids, ex boyfriend, politics, her workout regimen etc. All she did with my puppy was essentially put him in a choke hold to see how much he'd tolerate it. Not even kidding. She did NOTHING else with my puppy, she sat in my living room for about an hour talking about herself. Although my expectations for the "consultation" was way higher my stupid a*s still signed up for 2 more actual sessions because I absolutely expected her to go more in depth with puppy training. As soon as she left my home I already regretted buying 2 more sessions. I paid her $185, which covered the consult, 2 sessions and a $5 folder of paperwork about puppy care. Fast forward to the day of the next scheduled session and she's a no show!! I text her 30 mins into the scheduled appointment and she said she apologized and failed to put it on her calendar. I was very patient with her about it, text her it happens etc. However, I still asked her to cancel appointments moving forward and asked for my money back. She gave me $120 back and even had the nerve to keep that $5 for the folder of paper care paperwork. Really!? After completely wasting my time the day of our scheduled appointment ?! She has a $60 fee for "consultations" that consist of NOTHING, it's paying for her time, yet no shows on me and has the gall to keep that $5 because apparently her time is more valuable than her "clients". Sidenote: the other 1 star review is accurate. Complete scam.

She seemed quite nice, but if you have a young puppy look elsewhere…read more The tldr; had some issues in the beginning with her not checking that he went potty at the end of the walk and a dog who was in the walk with my puppy bit him leaving several deep bite marks on his muzzle! I tried Brooke's dogwalking for the week. I have a 5 month old border collie puppy. I thought after meeting Brooke it might be a good fit. But about the second day we began to have problems. She didn't ensure my puppy went potty at the end of the walk causing him to bark and whine for hours disturbing the neighbors. I was confused as to what caused his distress when I got a call from my landlord. I came home seeing he had a huge mess of poop in his crate. And he's never had an accident before with other dog walkers. I let her know, and she was responsive. She ensured in the latter half of the week that he did go potty during the walks and I didn't have that same issue. But the worst issue by far was the dog bite my puppy suffered from another dog on the walk. The last day of the week, a dog Brooke was also walking bit my puppy. I was told that the other owner was sorry for the incident, but no amount of sorry can really alleviate the bite marks my puppy came home with! I asked if the other dog would still be allowed to go on walks with my puppy (yes) or if anything would be done to ensure it wouldn't happen again (a muzzle for instance). The answer was no. I decided not to continue to use Brooke's services. It was not a good experience. She was kind and professional overall, but that doesn't make up for the issues we experienced during our time with her. I cannot recommend her in any circumstances.

Hired her last year in August. Went through an extensive interview/introduction meeting prior to…read moreuse. Took lots of notes, pictures, videos of how to do things. Some things I thought didn't need pictures or videos... But thought she was being thorough. First few visits got lots of text messages about questions, concerns, comments. Again, didn't think too much of it thought she was being thorough. Then started getting phone calls at work that were not emergencies, had to tell her to text my mom, my daughter or myself and one of us would respond. Even though this was all discussed at the interview/introduction meeting and in writing on her form. When I first interviewed her, I told her my old girl might need her bottom washed once in a while if she had an accident and she said she was fine with that. A few months after being with us, she decided she didn't want to do that if the need of arose. I took a pause on using her even though I had prepaid visits due to this. So family was helping take care of the animals and I wasn't using my paid visits. Fast-forward to today I had to hire her because the family that was helping me with my dogs is hospitalized at this point. We went through lots of things last night through text messages and notes on the counter today walking her through everything. I started to get lots of text messages today because she couldn't contain my four month old puppy. She couldn't get her back in the kennel. She couldn't get her into a gates off area in the hallway, catch her and put her back in her kennel. When asked if she could do that, she said she didn't want to that she might be bit. The puppy was barking at her because she was afraid, but the puppy would not have bitten her. She knows that some of the dogs that I have don't get along with each other hence the baby gates and she was making comments about walking them through the family room to go out to go potty even though the one dog who doesn't get along with others is baby gated in the family room. You would have to go through her area to get outside, which wouldn't be a safe alternative. Also with the dogs "being afraid of her" I wouldn't want her to open the door and take them outside with the option of them getting loose, lost or hit by cars. I asked her to get the puppy into the kitchen so that she had one area to be contained in and was safe. I didn't think I would have to educate a dog sitter/dog owner to puppy proof the kitchen before she left. I left work early and rushed home because I couldn't see the puppy on camera. When I got home I walked into a huge mess. The puppy had torn up all kinds of dog diapers, gotten into dog shampoo, destroyed an entire full pack of baby wipes. Plus, there was two things that are electrical plugged in the area. The puppy chewed on one item. It's just shocking that someone that has a dog and has a business that's around animals couldn't think outside the box. Needless to say, I've terminated our contract and will not be using her again. I would not recommend using her to anyone. Per owners response: I appreciate the questions but when I have answered the questions and you repeatedly do not follow the response that is very frustrating. Usually someone hires you because they can not be available such as work. When you can't follow the agreed upon instructions and have to repeatedly text or call the number for emergencies only and not really an emergency it gets very hard to continue to do business with you. You may have received training but you are very much lacking in common sense. You were given multiple ways to contain a puppy. None of which you wanted to follow. So finally because I had to go back to work I said contain in kitchen. Though I never thought I would have to hand hold you and tell you to pick up everything she could get into especially if you have had training! Also she is not fearful nor has she bit anyone. So it may be you! With all the training you state you have had I am surprised you couldn't manage a 4 mo old puppy. You also seemed to struggle with my clear directions of separation of specific dogs for safety. You wanted to walk 2 of them through an area where a dog was that would be a safety issue. To move said dog you would need to take her into the kitchen where the puppy was you couldn't contain. So again compromising safety. I spent a 45 minute commute home one wondering if my dogs were secure in the home, two if my puppy was secure or missing because she could not be seen or heard on camera, three my geriatric dog you were initially hired for was on the ground and not on her bed. Plus when I got home she had an accident which leads me to believe she did not relieve herself even though you said you took her out. Ultimately, I think people need to understand that you don't follow through with what you say you're going to do. And you come across as knowledgeable, but you don't know how to handle specific situations that are not that hard to handle.
