Waiting to hear from Vet so I can have him evaluated for signs of abuse. My poor baby. This business is in Lawrence Kansas. take your pet to Petsmart in Lawrence Kansas instead. Worse business I have experienced in my travels across the nation. All these good reviews are fraudulent. There is no way they have these good reviews! They started cutting my dogs hair and figured out they didnt know how. Ask for certifications from the groomers. Never go to the woman who looks dirty and on something. I am so grateful for the kindness and understanding Pawsh Wash showed me and my dog when I desperately needed to wash something extremely stinky off my dog. The dog wash wasn't officially available, but she kindly let me use a tub for this special situation. THANK YOU! I'm embarrassed that I was so frustrated, so please overlook my early morning, non-coffee-having, agitated state of mind. A cool little place to take your dog on a date for a nail clip, maybe a hair trim, a bath to wash off all that stuff, you know, that some dogs like to rub their neck in. We've been coming here for awhile but now that our old girl (she's a hound supermodel straight out of the Humane Society about 14 yrs. ago) is getting up there and seems to enjoy the visits here we may be returning with more frequency. So what do I know about pet service places like this? Almost nothing, but hey guys, if the missus is along there's a little bar next door. Serious, the people here are real nice and really care about their four footed visitors. I swear our Taffy had a blast on her last visit. We'll be back. read more

Very disappointed in the "management" at this establishment. I spent 30 mins talking to a lady on the phone about getting my dog bathed and groomed, I've never brought her to a groomer. The lady was very helpful and accommodating, answered all my questions, made helpful recommendations, etc. the call ended with me jotting down 2 next available times and I needed to ask a family member what time worked for them then I would give a call back and schedule. I called back within 10 minutes and a guy named Max answered. What a complete opposite experience. He was very rude, not accommodating at all and told me they didn't have tome to see my dog, despite the information the lady 10 minutes ago told me. Very snarky and unwilling to listen as I tried telling him I literally just spoke to a lady with a game plan. I asked to speak to someone else as Max was clearly not interested in my business and he told me he was the manager. Super unprofessional and concerning. Not somebody I would want managing my facility or want to bring my pet to with the lack of respect and customer service. Beware. read more

I have been taking my dogs here for grooming for years. I have an elderly King Charles Spaniel, who in the end was paralyzed from the waste down who they never had a problem grooming. My Shelty who is an epic shedder, goes in for a bath and a ferminator treatment every 8 weeks or so, and it saves our lives. Anytime I have had a problem with a groom, or proper brush out management has been responsive and attentive to my needs. The only problem I have ever had there was with my Corgi who came home in great distress from the experience, but management was great. She discussed alternative times to come in when they would be less busy, so that my corgi would be less stressed. She strategized with me and listened even though I was a bit upset. The employees here were extremely unprofessional. I brought my dog in on a Saturday to give her a bath and wasn't even acknowledged. There were 3 employees behind the counter. I asked if I could bathe my dog. The male employee said "no, there's a wait." This has happened multiple times. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The first couple times I took my dog there, it was OK. Never great but I don't know many dogs that enjoy getting a bath. The last time I took my dog there, we were greeted by one person that said they were going to groom him. When I came to pick him up, I was met by a totally different person who had groomed him. She was extremely rude to us. Said in a rather annoyed voice that she had to muzzle my dog because he was being a big pain and was very difficult. My dog came out and was extremely panicked. I could tell something was definitely off with his behavior. The next day, my dog was licking one of his front paws and limping on one of his back paws. I looked at the front paw and one of the claws had been trimmed past the quick. I checked out his back paw that he was limping on. Two claws had been trimmed past the quick. You know what? If you trimmed my nails that far and caused my foot to be injured like that, you would have to muzzle me, too. In speaking with management, while they were initially apologetic, my impression was that she was more bothered that I was making a fuss than the fact that her employee Estella was rude to a customer and injured an animal. I adopted my dog from a shelter. In his short life he has endured a great deal of abuse and mistreatment. I don't want to ever put him in a position where he's not going to be treated with compassion and patience. I won't be back to Pawsh Wash. read more

Yes first review! Just to let you know this is a natural pet store so prices will be higher but you feed your pet less for the higher quality plus they will be healthier. I went in and was greeted right off the bat. I told him I was just looking around. He let me ponder for a while and then came and asked me if there was anything he could help me with. I have an English Bulldog and asked him a few questions and he was VERY, EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE and HELPFUL. I learned quite a bit in there. Gave me a few samples to make sure my dog would eat them. I would drive to Lawrence from Topeka just to go there with someone like him working there. They also have grooming and a dog wash area that is a pretty neat set up. read more

I love this place! I don't dare try to wash my dog at home, so he comes here for monthly baths. They have everything you need - towels, scrubbers, soap, shampoo, scissors, smell good spray, aprons (trust me, you need this!) towels, dryers, cotton balls, EVERYTHING. You just come in and they set you up and even provide a harness if your pup is a spaz like mine and likes to jump out of the tub! Their wash system is nice because there are no bottles of soap you have to squeeze out. You just turn the nozzle to 'wash' and the soap comes out of the sprayer. Then turn to rinse, and even condition. Awesome! They also have pretty powerful dryers as well, so the drying process is pretty quick. They also offer nail trims and all the staff is great with my dog. They also have half price washes on Tuesdays for certain breeds (ask them for details) and also a 'Yappy Hour' from 6-8pm where self-serve washes are $10. This business is very unprofessional not only in there work but as well as there customer service. I've seen multiple things happening lately I just read on Facebook that they gave a clients dog to a different client because they were similar looking and just grabbed the first one that looked like it. That's not just a mistake that's a awful mistake that could cost a lot. Happy I don't work here because I was looking into grooming and I don't like the way it's run here. read more

I love the that no matter who does the grooming, I can always count on my dogs getting the best cuts. The staff is friendly and my dogs are always happy. The only drawbacks are it's the priciest place in town and it takes forever to get an appointment unless they have a cancellation. read more

Pawsh Wash is wonderful. My little rescue baby is very timid and scared by everything. He's been turned away by other groomers who didn't want to deal with his fear. The staff here are so patient and kind. They take their time to allow him to get comfortable, make accommodations to minimize his stress, and never make us feel like it's more than they can handle. I wouldn't imagine taking my fluffy babies anywhere else. The staff is so wonderful here. They know my girls by name every time we walk in. I have been bringing my 10 year old boxer here for over a year for regular grooming and she is so excited to walk back into the grooming area... she doesn't even look back at me. I've been taking my boxer puppy here since I got her for regular nail trimming and they are so patient and loving with her. I went in tonight just to grab a few kashi treats (which are wonderful) and they greeted me asking where my boxers were. Love this place!! read more

Last week I took my 45 lb., 9yr. old St. Bernard/Aussie mix, Bernard, in for a wash, feather trim, mat removal, and nail clipping. He isn't the perfect pooch, and has been in a shelter for the last 2 years of his life up until last month. He gets nervous, has trust issues, and of course had to be muzzled because he was acting out on your very lovely groomer, Emily. Through it all, they provided excellent service and now Bernard is looking happier and healthier than ever! He's so pretty and soft now. Thank you Emily for your wonderful service! And we're sorry for any trouble Bernard may have caused you. We will muzzle him ourselves next time for sure. Also, they tried calling my cell phone (Verizon provider) a couple times and it didn't go through for some reason, so we'll try a different phone next time. read more

Just so you know the right questions to ask. Took our large golden doodle with specifications that with full grooming he needed his ears cleaned. His ears are like poodles. They must be cleaned with each grooming. We were assured this would happen. We verified this with drop off. They kept him 5 1/2 hours claimed they worked on him 2 1/2 hours but guess what made excuses for not being able to clean them. Claiming a vet needed to. They charged the most we've ever been charged for a grooming over $140 and didn't clean his ears. Have managers who don't return phone calls and requested contact from owner but guess what that didn't happen. We've used the self service and loved it but we won't return. Just so you know everything online not accurate and for us they did what they wanted. Yes his ears are hard to pluck out which is why its done with each grooming. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but Pawsh Wash is truly an awesome place! My 4 month pitbull needed her first grooming session and I had no idea we needed an appointment, but the staff made an effort to squeeze my little girl in! They absolutely pampered her, gave her so much love, and answered all my questions. Their staff is so knowledgeable about their products and truly love animals. I know when my pup comes here she is in great hands. Highly recommend Pawsh Wash for all your grooming needs for your pet!! We will always return! read more

I haven't been to Pawsh Wash in years since moving back to Texas BUT I can say we miss this place!!! We have been trying to find something similar in the Fort Worth area and there truly is no place like it! I loved the self serve washes and how everything needed is available, including bandanas! Also- the Friday $5 nail trimmings and "yappy hour" was AMAZING! The employees were always so gentle and kind to my dogs! 100% recommend read more

It's kind of a fun place to take your pooch for a bath. It's really best to take advantage of their sweet deals like the $10 yappy hour washes and half price washes on certain days. Good shampoo's and nice dryers. The staff has always been nice as well. read more

Did a self wash since I was in the area and decided to take my white booted dog to the muddy off leash park. SMH. But the business is friendly and good with pets. Wash/dry area is rather small. $19 for self wash. Might try the full service sometime. read more

We have taken our 3 boys here multiple times and had multiple groomers take care of them. We have never been disappointed with the grooming, and the staff is incredibly nice. Highly recommend Pawsh Wash! The only negative is they are always busy, so getting an appointment within a few days only happens if you add to their wait list and get lucky, so plan ahead! read more

Seriously, do not take your dogs anywhere else. They are always so kind and welcoming to my small beagle who goes in monthly for a bath! She always goes in with a wagging tail and leaves with smile on her face and prancing around, like she couldn't have had a better spa day! I recently just got another dog, who is still fairly young and so nervous, for just a nail trim. Patience, and understanding were all I got from them. I have been taking my dog here for awhile and they always do a great job. Morgan has groomed my dog more than once and I love the results. She genuinely loves what she does and it shows. My dog is really neurotic and doesn't like to be away from me. They always are super sensitive to her needs since, she in an older dog. They also send you home with a report card about your dogs experience and how your coat, teeth and nails look. Super thorough. Love! read more

I will never take any of my dogs back to Pawsh Wash. We were charged $60+ for a haircut on my 18lb dog that not only took 2+ hours to complete but the employee and groomer were absolutely not forthcoming about the fact that my anxiety ridden dog would be held in an kennel until they were "ready" for him, well past the time we had scheduled. It was my pups first time being professionally groomed and while he looks fine, the customer service was less than zero. read more

Had a WONDERFUL experience the first time I visited and had my dog groomed, and gave the store 5 stars. Unfortunately the second time was not the same experience. I have never been in the store when the staff has been the same. This crew was not my favorite, and I don't understand why turnover is so high. Dropped my dog off and came back early as usual to make sure he was okay. He was a rescue and has separation anxiety when I am gone. I look back through the glass door and he is muzzled...??? I asked the young man at the counter why, and was told that he put his mouth on Estella's arm and she felt uncomfortable. I followed up by asking if he growled or was aggressive in any way,and was told "No." He put his mouth on her arm like he does when he plays. First and foremost if that made her uncofortable then she needs to find a new career. Secondly, putting a muzzle on my dog without communicating with me will never be okay. This business is very hit and miss based on who you get. Not sure if Doug will be going back, but Estella will never touch any of my dogs again. read more

I live in KC but my boyfriend and I were in Lawrence visiting his parents with our 4 month old puppy. We decided to stay longer than originally planned and didn't have food for her evening meal. The girls hooked us up with a small sample of high quality dog food similar to the one she eats regularly and were super accommodating to us late evening on a Sunday night. VERY impressed and would recommend this place to anyone in Lawrence purely based on their customer service. Five stars! read more

Good self-serve dog wash. They have a nice variety of soaps and shampoos to choose from. I can wash my dog at home and clog my tub drain, or I can spend about ten bucks and wash her at Pawsh Wash. Easy. read more

I take my dog to Pawsh Wash for grooming. She always comes out looking great and wagging her tail. The staff are all very friendly and it's easy to tell that they love working with dogs. Other groomers are closer to me, but I would much rather take the extra time to go here. read more
