I say we are unique because only the most very special dogs can stay here. Also living here are our own dogs, cats and chickens. Life is always fun and everyone gets on. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside with fantastic walks to go on and lots of things to sniff and see. I walk with you and your dog to help get to know you both and you can do this as often as you like. There is also the change to leave your dog for a couple of hours to see if they like it. When staying your VIP (very important pooch) can send you updates on what they have been doing, so you know they are safe and enjoying themselves. In their busy stay in between walking, playing, sleeping and making new friends the visitors make cards to take home. It all adds to the fun! Have just picked my three dogs up from Dave and Diana at Cartref - we always use this kennel (since…read more2006) and wouldn't go anywhere else ( we have recently moved to Cwmbran and still return to this kennels). Over the years our dogs have changed but the quality of care they get from the team hasn't. My one dog has medical needs and Diana ensures that the medication is given as directed so there is no impact what so ever. They get the food they like, treats and toys. We call when we are away and get an update so we know we can holiday knowing our pets are in good hands. Until recently we also used the cattery with our elderly cats needs being cared for. We have two Shar Pei's who are not the best with people - the team know this and have invested the time in getting to know them so they are like extended family. We are fortunate to holiday twice a year so knowing the high standard of care that is provided we have already secured our bookings for next year.

Now racking up a huge vet's bill, let alone all the distress this has caused us. It is clear to us that the sitter had no or very little training. She did NOT follow the instructions we left for her regarding animal care; she didn't administer medications, check on our livestock etc.We found mouldy food lying around covered in maggots. She didn't even listen to what the vet told her! We also found property inside the house to be damaged; our range cooker was totally burnt out and a tap in our bathroom had been broken off. She also broke a pet carrier. We also found out that the sitter had allowed strangers into our home without contacting us. When we contacted Preseli animal care via e mail, we received a barrage of abuse as a response. Horrible customer service! Nasty people to deal with! We're very disappointed. We wish we had noticed that on their website they have posted all of their reviews themselves. They're all posted by one of the owners and they're all positive. A bit suspicious considering how awful an experience we had with them.
