We have three dogs ranging in age from 8 to 11. They have been accustomed to having mobile groomers for at least nine years. When our groomer retired, I was searching to find someone to come to our home. We are senior citizens and it makes life so much easier to continue in this way. Recently, I located Paws On The Go via Internet search. I was able to obtain an appointment rapidly. The groomer, Fred, is a great communicator and very helpful. We had our first visit from Fred today. We could tell immediately that Fred is very caring and very gentle with the animals. He himself is a dog owner, and he even mentioned that he foster dogs for the animal foundation, taking photographs of them to allow them to relax and look appealing to a potential adoptive family. Right there, I knew that this groomer has a heart of gold. He also explained that for cutting nails, he uses a Dremel tool, which is very easy to work with because the dog does not become upset. The nail is gently scraped away. Right there I was very happy knowing that my dogs would have this gentle treatment. Our first dog, a Havanese, had a full grooming. He looks absolutely outstanding and I asked Fred to use his judgment about his undercoat because summer will be coming soon. He chose a cut that did not leave Teddy with extremely short hair, but made him look very neat. Glands and nails were also cared for. There were a couple of small mats behind his ears and these were cut as well. Our second dog is a Chiweenie who by nature is rather nervous and uncomfortable, having his nails done or having the groomer come to the house. Fred handled him extremely gently and the really cool to his grooming van is a window next to his elevated table that allows the dog while being worked on to look out the window and be distracted from being groomed. This seemed to have worked really well because the nails are perfect and the dog was very calm. Our third dog had been rescued from a terrible hoarding situation and her nails have been problematic for the five years that we have had her. We have taken her mostly to our veterinarian because they really have the knack for doing nails when we need them scheduled. Fred took her into the van and when she returned, her nails were better looking than I have ever seen them and no longer long and uncomfortable. We found that Fred's prices were consistent with what we were accustomed to 65 for a full groom and $20 for a nail cut. Fred accepts Messages through Yelp messenger and informed us that at the end of a workday. He will respond as quickly as possible when we request our next appointment. I can highly recommend Fred services. It is obvious that he loves the animals. He explained that this is his retirement job because it's what he loves doing most of all. It certainly shows in his Customer service and his kindness to the animals. read more

First let me say that Fred is awesome! He responds quickly and is very timely. This was my dog's first mobile experience. I have a 8yr old Shih Tzu and 5 yr old cockapoo. They were overgrown with a few Matt's by the ears and really needed a good cleaning and cut. Immediately, Piper made friends with Fred. Once she was done it was Marble's turn. Here's the tell all, when he brought Marble back into the house, Piper did not run away but instead ran up to Fred with her tail wagging. I'm a little heart broken writing this just because the groomer is very sweet and very professional. My Morkies' first hair cut after he was rescued was by them and it was great!! I let his beautiful fur grow out for 3 months so I can get him cut a certain way. I even showed the groomer a picture of how I wanted my baby groomed. Said key words like "please don't cut his ears" that's my favorite part. When I got my puppy back all his hair was gone including his long ears and his hair is extremely uneven. He looked so bad! This happened a month ago (we're recovering lol) and though I was crushed I didn't say anything because I don't like confrontation. I had to leave a review so it doesn't happen to another dog parent. If you need your furry baby groomed a specific way. I wouldn't go here, for regular grooming and basic cuts absolutely.
