They were very kind and compassionate. When my daughter left, she broke down crying in the parking lot. A very kind male employee came up to her car to check on her, which meant so much to me, because I wasn't able to be there with her. They also gave her multiple options to personalize her purchase, including the paw print, and that's so comforting to have, forever. Faithful Companion returned her kitty to her (directly to her vet) quickly, and it meant a lot. They helped us get through a very difficult time. I highly recommend them for anyone within driving distance (my daughter drove quite some way to get there, and it was worth it).

When we arrived to drop her off, it was very close to their closing time, yet not once did we feel rushed or pressured. The staff waited for us with patience and kindness, guiding us calmly through the process and giving us the space to say our farewells. The pickup was handled with the same warmth and dignity. Every person we met here was helpful, polite, friendly, and genuinely caring--people who clearly have a passion for honoring our beloved pets. Knowing Maow was treated with such respect brought us comfort in our grief. We cannot thank them enough and wholeheartedly recommend Faithful Companion to anyone facing this difficult goodbye.

We all knew it was time for our 15 year old baby girl to cross the Rainbow Bridge, including her,…read morebut she needed help crossing the bridge. She always hated the vet, and I shuddered at the thought of going to the vet's impersonal office - I had visions of metal tables, all business, and a horrid pit in my stomach for the rest of my life. Our family decided that in home compassionate euthanasia was how we wanted to handle things. Unfortunately, it took several calls over about a 7 hour span to our vet to try to get a recommendation, as I did NOT want to go pot luck on something like this. The place they suggested was lovely, but couldn't come until the following evening. During that time, our beautiful fur baby deteriorated significantly. I couldn't bear the thought of her suffering. My sister made some calls to get recommendations, and Dr. Fraser from In-Home Pet Loss came recommended from three independent sources. He was able to get to us within a few hours. He explained every single thing that he did. He was gentle. He was caring. He was completely respectful of all of us. We kept her in her bed, which truly was her happy place, and we were able to hold her, stroke her, and talk to her the entire time. It was as dignified and peaceful as possible. While we all knew it was time, none of us wanted to say goodbye, but Dr. Fraser helped guide us through the process. He provided us paw prints for our memories, and when everything was over, he carried her out in her bed, (which he then returned to us) which was much more comforting than I could have expected. Thank you, Dr. Fraser, for helping us through truly one of the most heartbreaking things we have been through.

Our dog suddenly went limp, labored breathing and white gums. We tried to take her to West Park, and they turned us away because they were at capacity. We didn't realize that MedVet was 5 min further away, but we were directed there. We called while we were on our way, and they were waiting for us when we arrived. She was rushed back, where they did an initial exam and got her stable. It was very helpful to have the monitors up to show where our pet was in the line of order to be seen. While we're waiting, a few more critical patients came in, and the staff was so on top of it. It turns out our girl suffered anaphylactic shock from something, perhaps a bug bite. She ended up staying two nights, and we visited her each day for about an hour. The staff was so incredible, I don't think I could ever work in an environment. As expected, it was pricier, but the staff went above and beyond for us. We never worried about Luna while she was in their care. On the second day, the doctor called me and spent 20 min walking through her chart, results and next steps with me. I really appreciated it. Hopefully we will never need to go back, but if we do, we know where to go.

The parking lot has ample space, and its handicap--accessible. The restrooms are also clean. The nature of emergency medicine is unpredictable so yes our wait time was long and it was more expensive than a routine vet visit, but that's just the way it is. The entire staff was very pleasant and Special callout to Dr. Gabrielle DeVere who took plenty of time with me and answered my questions. Also shout out to Lori (Laurie?) who answered the phone and treated me with respect and kindness. I also heard her interact with other clients on the phone and she was remarkably professional, empathetic and helpful.

I have never met anyone who cares more about this than Sherry at Dejohns pet center. From the moment you walk in you will be met with such warmth and care and dignity. Sherry met us with Alice with soft music, candles and a special bed for her to be laid into. Every aspect of this difficult time was met with such amazing respect and gracefulness by Sherry and DeJohns. it was so comforting to us. This was the fourth time we have used this wonderful service and we cannot say enough about their services, beautiful products that honor our fur babies and most especially Sherri's heart and respect for our time of grief of those magnificent creatures that we were honored to share our lives with.

Our dog, (hard to even call her that) Riley, passed the Saturday before Easter Sunday. We had decided in advance to have our Riley cremated, so that she would always be by our sides. However, the timing of losing her was not going to allow us to take her home the same day. We were told by countless cremation locations that she would need to be "dropped off" and "picked up a week later." We couldn't allow that. Could anyone allow that to happen to their family? We happened upon DeJohn Pet Services while frantically searching for a location that would respect her body to the standard of a human, and do it the same day - a weekend evening, no less. The ONLY place in the area that is capable of both - is DeJohn Pet Services. Sherri, on a Saturday, told us she would meet us there at 6pm. Grief-stricken, we arrived with Riley in sobbing tears. Sherri allowed us all the time we needed to wait for more family members to arrive and try to say our goodbyes. There was nothing more important to us than to STAY with our baby through every step of the process - just like she would have wanted in life. Sherri allowed us to stay next to Riley as she clipped her fur for us to have, prepared the cremation, and let us send her on her way by pressing the button - ourselves. DeJohn is the ONLY place in this area that your pet/family member will be privately cremated. This is the only place that will allow you to stay with them throughout the process. This is the only place that will treat them with the standard and care of a human - if not more. If you have an animal - that is your FAMILY member - that you want treated with the upmost dignity and love....go see Sherri at DeJohn Pet Services.
