Andrea is absolutely incredible. Like, seriously talented. Her photos come out phenomenal and then her editing work is exceptional. She's terrific with dogs - and with people! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for some fabulous photos that will be cherished all your life!

It's no wonder that the best pup portraits come from this studio! Andrea's understanding of canine behavior and psychology makes the photo session fun and smooth for the pups! She manages to capture our dogs' moods and expressions. The consult before the session is super helpful, as she listens for what you want in the finished portraits. Her pricing is fair and reasonable, and the final products are beautiful pieces of art that can be cherished forever! They make great gifts! I recommend making sure that your dog has had a walk but isn't too tired. Also especially if your dog is picky or has dietary restrictions, make sure to bring treats that your dog will like. I look forward to having more photos taken by Andrea! Our littlest pup was still a puppy here, so we will have to do it again now that she has grown up! Thank you Andrea!

We had the absolute BEST experience working with Andrea and our fur-baby, Kona. It was our first time taking doggo pics, but I must say that Andrea brought out the inner model in Kona! Little did we know how photogenic our pup was, and we have Andrea to thank for getting him in the zone! Andrea was very responsive and she provided all the information we needed before our photo session. She worked with our dates, locations, and really took the time to ask questions to better know what we were looking for in our photos. We had scheduled a session at the beach in Half Moon Bay, but that day was unfortunately overcast and we were a bit bummed out... but Andrea still took advantage of the day and was still able to capture some amazing photos of our little guy despite the weather not cooperating. We rescheduled to a different location and date and the weather was great, so we ended up with photos from various locations that showed off Kona. Andrea is a natural when it comes to working with pups. She has a ton of gadgets, tricks, and treats to get your pup to do exactly what she wants. Kona immediately took to Andrea and was willing to do everything she asked him to. It was amazing to see her bring out Kona's personality during the photo session! She was so patient, gentle, and kind, and she is definitely a NATURAL when it comes to working with dogs. A few weeks after our photo session, Andrea came over to our house to show us the pictures and helped us work through which ones we liked best to print. We were so happy with the pictures and it was so hard to decide which pictures to print! I wanted all of them!!!! She went over the different pricing for different prints and styles she had and personally delivered the final prints to us when they were ready. Although the prints can get a little pricey, she has different options to fit all types of budgets. The quality is great and the photos are definitely something we will cherish. I highly recommend going with Paws and Play Studio and working with Andrea to get the best pics of your pup!

We first met Andrea when she hosted a pop up studio at Nordstrom, Palo Alto in 2018. We were pleased with the photos and got many compliments. We followed her work on Instagram and when the opportunity came up to book an outdoor session at the beginning of 2020 it sounded like perfect timing. Andrea is very sincere and you can see she enjoys working with dogs. I love the way she captures expressions of those she photographs. I'm happy to recommend Andrea to anyone, especially if you want a quality product that will last for many years to come! It may feel like a luxury expense especially in this uncertain time but I'm so glad I have the portraits in my home to enjoy on a daily basis.

    Portrait of my senior pup!

Working with Andrea was great, I wanted nice photos of me and my senior chihuahua because we have so many bad selfies I thought it would be a fun thing to do. I work with photographers in my day job and Andrea is a quality professional! I love the photos I got, it was really hard to choose which to buy but it was so worth it!

Andrea created amazing photos of my baby Umi!! She had so many great shots that we ended up picking 8 extra pics on top of the package we bought. If you are looking for a great pet photographer, please contact her. We will definitely have her take Umi's 6 month and 1 year photos!!!

I'd actually rate Andrea 6 out of 5! A friend recommended getting professional shots of my pup and I'm so glad I did. We know Andrea from a Westie meetup group and have long admired photos of her Otto. From the very start she made sure she understood exactly what I was looking to get out of the photo shoot. Her love of the subjects is so clear -- my dog *loved* the extra attention, it was just a fun beach play day for him. Andrea captured him in front of a few different backgrounds, but the ones I love the absolute best are the action shots of him chasing a ball. I would never have been able to get those myself. The triptych on my wall now is a wonderful memory, especially these days of sheltering-in-place! After the shoot, Andrea came over to show me all the shots and tangible samples of photo presentations. She helped me pick just the right combination of different formats and I was surprised how quickly I got them. I love every one of them and they are among my most treasured photos of my pup. I didn't want to be in the photos myself, but Andrea found a nice way to include but not focus on me. I think she was really able to capture how much I love my little guy :) I can't recommend Andrea enough. She was such a delight and a pleasure. She has such a special eye for the pups and our relationships with them. It was so well worth the time and every single penny. I think this is what Andrea was *meant* to do and it's so nice to benefit from her talent and passion :)

Andrea is the BEST! Not only is she a wonderful photographer, she is a dog whisperer! This combination is essential in capturing the best images of our rescue pup, Blossom - who is scared of everyone! From the first communication with Andrea, she put me at ease that we would go slow with Blossom and let her dictate the session at her pace :). Leading up to our session date, communication was on point - checklist, directions, etc. Our session went so smoothly and she made Blossom feel like a star! Andrea is so patient with everyone and has a really soothing voice/tone that I could tell Blossom felt completely at ease with her. Before the session, I was nervous we might not get enough pics where Blossom cooperated by looking at the camera. But in fact, we had the opposite problem - we had too many to choose from lol! We were thrilled with all the pictures and Andrea helped us with our selections. No high pressure sales at all - she genuinely wants her clients to be happy with memorable pictures to treasure. I would highly recommend Andrea to anyone looking to have some memorable pictures of their furever friend! :)

I first met Andrea at a pop up session at Nordstrom when our two dogs were five month old pups - and I absolutely loved the pictures that resulted. Her ability to get and keep their attention, and produce images that show their personalities, is remarkable! In Spring 2020, we booked an outdoor photo session with our two (now fully grown) pups and my husband and myself. Not only did we end up with amazing digital prints (2020 Holiday Card, here we come!), but we ordered FAR more framed prints than we ever expected. In particular, we have one spectacular photo of the Half Moon Bay harbor, fishing boats shrouded in fog, with our two girls swimming together in the foreground - printed large and hanging in our dining room. Visitors assume it's fine art (which of course it is!) before realizing the "seals" in the foreground are our beloved goofy pups! Her work brings me such joy, every day. Thank you, Andrea!

My obsession with Tiffany started when she captured our engagement photos in Moss Beach.  I had a specific picture I had envisioned and obsessed about, and like a bad client I didn't tell Tiffany.  When I got back my pictures, there it was!  I knew from that day on I would never use another photographer. When it came to us picking a photographer for our destination wedding in Palm Springs, I felt a gravitational pull towards Tiffany, and she didn't disappoint.  She made the booking portion very simple and easy.  I sent her a list of shots we wanted and she pretty much captured everything I could even think of, and more.  She leaned into our moody "old Hollywood" look.  She worked our 200+ wedding like she'd been doing it for decades.  She works with light like a master artist.  What comes out at the end will absolutely blow your mind.  And on top of it all, she's a lot of fun to work with and makes you feel so comfortable.  I honestly wanted her to stay the entire wedding as a guest because I felt so close to her after our journey together. .... And thank God she has a sense of humor because when I wanted to do a funny gender reveal, newborn shoot for our new puppy, Frankie, she was all in!! She was even able to swaddle our 9 week only puppy! My husband actually said, when we were looking to book a photographer for our wedding, that he only wanted to work with Tiffany.  That's when I knew she would be apart of our lives forever.  I'm pretty sure 99.9% of the pictures framed in our house are all taken by Tiffany.  Tiffany captures the stuff that dreams are made of.  Thank you Tiffany for being apart of our big moments and giving us the greatest gifts, our memories live and in living color (or moody and in black and white when the occasion arises).

Upon first meeting with Emily, you notice she really tries to get to know her potential client and also lets you know a little about herself, and you realize she really loves what she does and it shows. In addition to our wedding photos, we decided to do an engagement session with her as well. Our engagement photos turned out more beautiful than we could have asked for. She just put us at such ease, and her photos come out so natural, romantic, and real- all without being forced or contrived. She truly captures what your heart's story is, whatever it may be. At the time, my son was 3 1/2 and we had never had professional portraits done of him or our family. I wanted to do them, but every time I spoke with a photographer, he or she mentioned taking pictures in a studio with artificial light and faux backdrops. Ugh - I am not a fan of cheesy studio pics. So I'd never gotten around to family photos. When I saw this photographer taking pictures of a family in a natural setting, I knew that was what I wanted. Having some chutzpah, I approached and asked for a card. I went home and looked up Barbara Bell online. Barbara Bell had no Yelp reviews at that time, but a beautiful portfolio. Done - hired. * Photography: 5 stars - I love her images shot in natural light. * Personality: 5 stars - Very pleasant during photo shoot and helpful when choosing which images to order. * Value: 4 stars - Like most professional photographers, the clients don't keep the negatives and buy the prints they like by selecting them online. * Communication: 3.5 stars - Hard to reach at times. We set up a photo shoot and met in the same park for about an hour. Our beloved dog was included (he *is* a family member after all). We had a fun and relaxed photo session; she was excellent with my son who hammed it up for her. The only downside was the inconvenience of not being able to reach her by phone. If you can't reach her, try email. We were extremely happy with the images she produced of our family. I would definitely hire Barbara again.

One of the things I loved about Barbara most was that she took action almost immediately, giving both Ru and I direction like a pro. She knew exactly what would look good on camera and what wouldn't. Fashion photography can be tricky because the details REALLY matter. For example, If a belt you're wearing shifts and never gets corrected, you won't have any usable photographs for that outfit as a whole. I told that to Barbara at the beginning of our shoot and she was very receptive to that advice, always making sure that I was adjusted the correctly. She was also very receptive to what I was looking for, constantly checking in and showing me the work she had done. I highly recommend Barbara. She's smart about her photography; she straddles that fine line of being receptive to your needs but also authoritative about her experience, beautifully. It also doesn't hurt that I had a ton of gorgeous photos to post to my blog (I've added one to the photos section).

At first, we were a bit nervous after reading some of the past negative reviews, but we actually had the opposite experience, and we wanted to give them credit for this. We were greeted by a friendly front desk person named Nicole. She was very thorough about explaining their packages. We also had received info from our high school about their packages prior to making the appointment for the photo shoot so we knew what clothing to bring. We chose the Essentials package which included 3 outfits: the yearbook pic in a tux, the cap & gown, and an outfit from home (we brought a long sleeve, button down, blue shirt; he wore jeans). The studio provides the tux and the cap&gown. They also recommend for boys to wear a white t-shirt for the photo shoot. There is helpful info for senior portraits on their website: https://prestigeportraits.com/tips/senior-picture-checklist/ So we had our son wear a white tshirt and jeans to the studio. We carried his long sleeve, blue, button-down shirt on a hanger. Once we were checked in, Nicole and another sweet woman named Claudia directed us from the lobby to the dressing area. Because our special needs son needed assistance with dressing, we were allowed in the dressing area. The lobby and dressing areas were clean; there were also private dressing rooms and a seating area. Claudia assisted our son with dressing with such each ease and kindness with all of the outfit changes. Our son was led into the photography room by his photographer, Mohammed. This man is so talented and so heartwarming! He was so engaged with our son that he took so many great photos of our son. Mohammed also showed me & my husband all of the photos he took at the end of the session. We were seen on time at 515pm on a Friday, and we were there for 1 hour. It was the best hour we had a professional photography studio. There were also 2 other kids having photo sessions but there were 2 other photographers who were amazing as well. Thanks again Mohammed, Nicole, and Claudia for truly making this beautiful experience happen for our son. We are truly grateful.

We did, and the door was locked with the closed sign. Lights on, nobody there? So we waited in the car until someone came to the desk, who really did not want to let us into the waiting room. They had taken their lunch until 7... BUT they completely turned it around bc the photographers and lady coordinating everything were so wonderful. It seems like everyone just needed a break from dealing with teenagers arguing with their parents. Each photographer was so encouraging and help set up all the poses. They were all cracking jokes and asking questions, so it was very nice atmosphere. It was a wonderful guided experience & even the woman at the front desk had cheered up by the end. Be kind, be patient, and be organized and you will have a great experience. My other note is that a lot of the background and poses can feel a little silly, very JC Penny awk photoshoot, but I recommend! It's a little cramped back there, but again fun.
