I'm sad to see anyone has had a problem with paws and claws. I take my golden doodle at least weekly for play time and every 6-8 weeks for grooming. Lisa and Stefanie do a great job keeping Lucy looking adorable and Allyssa and the day care crew wear her out with fun and games and energy appropriate playmates. I've also had occasion to board all my girls once in a while and I'm confident they are in good hands and well taken care of. I could not possibly recommend them highly enough for care of your fur babies!

Good experience for our dogs boarding there while we were away. Will use them again.

My dog was totally shaved on her back which made her not look like her breed is supposed to look. I was very disappointed in the cut.

I have boarded my dog there as well. Last time i boarded i had to get a shot needed for the stay. I took the dog for the shot and was told it will be a while but they would keep him up here with them and call you when he is done. I agreed. I dropped him off, and before i got 2 miles down the road the Vet called me and said oh its just a shot i have time now if you want to come back and get him, I agreed. I went right back and got him10 minutes tops from when i left him. I took him in for boarding the next morning and left him for two nights. At pick up i was being charged for a hospital stay, i questioned this and was told it was his stay for the day he got his shot. over $30.00 for him being there 10 minutes. of course I questioned that and asked for the vet to confirm what happened. After a trip upstairs a couple of times the young lady came back and said the Practice Manager said it was ok a simple misunderstanding. Time goes on to two days ago i called for a boarding appointment and was told once again he needs a shot, a flu shot, ok so i made an appointment for today the 13th. I went in and got the shot, paid $62.50 for a flu shot for my dog. Was told boarding is all set up and well see him in the morning. I have to be out of town in the morning for a meeting at 10 so i will drop him off at 8am all is good with the world. Until 2:30 today someone calls me back and informs me that the practice manager, Kim Moran said they are not allowed to board Toby anymore due to me not paying the hospital visit fee on his last visit. WHAT???? I have been talking to and visited you and no one said anything and now your calling to tell me your not keeping him anymore? This young lady said that Kim was off today and the decision was made yesterday but no one wanted to call and tell me so they have been passing it off to others since yesterday. And no there is no one else to talk to it is just NO. This is so unprofessional, retaliatory, and in poor taste not to mention the most childish thing I have ever heard of from a business. I have found someone to watch my dog at half the price and that doesnt leave them alone all night. I have also in the hour since this happened gotten him into another vet that has great reviews and charges a reasonable price for their services. Healthy Pets has definitely lost alot of clients due to the new management but I tried to be consistent and give them a chance, but this is too much for me, so i am gone as well. I'm sure more will follow suite. Healthy Pets from 10 to 0 in 60 seconds. Good Luck

UPDATE: Since this review has been posted, Deandre has contacted my family multiple times to try to…read morehave this review take down. I guess as a small business owner, you never want to hear that your customer relations and people skills are absolutely terrible. Stay away. Stay far away. If you want any kind of peace of mind while you're away, you will not find it here. Last month, our usual dog-sitter was booked for our vacation so we had to look elsewhere. We found Deandre on Rover, but booked her off of the app so we could make payments since she is quite expensive. I dropped off our three dogs there, and genuinely thought it was a nice area (big yard with space for the dogs), even though the owner seemed pretty scattered. There were other at least three other dogs in her care, including a puppy. She hadn't sent us a contract to sign yet, so upon arrival, I was handed a notebook with my dog's names scribbled in marker that she wanted me to sign. For a long trip, this was a fairly late notice decision on our part, so I didn't think much of it. We leave for our trip and hear very little from Deandre (no pictures or updates), and the next day, she calls my fiancée frantically and says that our (friendly service) dog had bitten another dog badly enough to be taken to the vet, and that our other dog had started a fight. Here's the thing: we were never explicitly aware that our dogs would be playing freely outside in the heat for hours (yep--she said she did that) with dogs they had never met. I saw several dogs there along with several cages, so I had assumed they would be kept separate for extended periods. Our dogs, even the well-behaved one, are total jerks, but they've never been aggressive, though we definitely entertained the possibility that they caused this trouble given the circumstance. With the information we have, we think our dogs have legitimately done something bad, so my fiancée starts asking for some more details, like if we needed to compensate the other dog owner, and the general state of our dogs. Deandre was woefully unable to communicate any context to the situation, and began talking in circles. The phone call ends, and my fiancée texts her some general and very reasonable questions about our dogs (we wanted pictures of them to make sure they were okay) and the situation in general. It's getting pretty late in the day at this point, and Deandre calls back and tries (briefly and poorly) to answer some of the questions. She then says that she doesn't want to keep going back and forth with us, and that we've texted her with too many questions. This is when she goes off the rails. She proceeds to be extremely rude to my partner, and goes on to tout her own capabilities as a caretaker, among many other uncalled for things. We were excessively kind with her and never attacked her ability; we literally just wanted her to update us on the outcome of a situation that our dogs had seemingly caused. This woman has zero communication skills. Our friends were with us while we were on the phone, and all of us were shocked at her behavior. The next day, we inform her that my dad would be coming to sign them out, and that our usual dog-sitter (who had an opening) would be coming to pick them up. We barely heard a word from her. After they were picked up, she didn't offer a refund of any kind for the remainder of their stay (almost a week). She only sent us our money back after we threatened to get an attorney involved. Even then, she shorted us $10 and kept one of the water bowls. If you want to hear the phone call where she loses her mind, let us know.

Warm reception, all-around friendly staff, and the price is right…read more Last night, my cat was in discomfort from a stuck hairball. I just moved to Lenoir in September and hadn't established a local vet for my cats yet, so I had to call them this morning quite last minute, but they had me in for an 11:00 appointment. The receptionist checked me in quickly, even gave me a small goodie bag, and then I waited for less than five minutes for Hope, my kitty, to get his examination. I have two fears at the vet: price and judgement. I'd say many furbaby parents fear being told that they aren't being vigilant enough in their pets' care, especially if living on a budget. So when the vet, Dr. Frye, told me that Hope's teeth were looking bad, and he needed tooth extraction, my stomach sunk. Yet, Dr. Frye was quick to work with me when I said affordability of treatment was important, and she told me about how her own cat has this same issue with her teeth and had all her teeth removed at 5 years old. I felt so much better to hear this. Dr. Frye printed an article out about the condition, gave Hope a steroid shot, and now I can return later to have Hope's teeth treated when I have the money without having to worry about him being in pain until then. Plus, Hope is feeling better having received some stomach and hairball medicine. I'm also not broke after the visit. I was very impressed by the $49.50 examination fee. I was checked out promptly, and now Hope is back home working on his forgiveness policy.

People were nice but whenI needed to get one shot to board my dog they couldn't get me in for a…read moremonth. Had to switch to another that only took a couple days.
