Ungerdogs Grooming Salon

Ungerdogs Grooming Salon

This place is wonderful! My Black lab was in desperate need of a good bath and nail trimming so I…read morecalled Ungerdogs and they were able to fit me in the today. I was really impressed when I walked in because it's really like a doggy salon rather than being a pet store with a grooming station stuck in the back like so many other places. The space is bright and clean with a large area in front which functions as a waiting room. There is also a section of the 'salon' with nice grooming products (shampoos and conditioners). At the front is a desk for check- in and a little gate to bring your pup through which leads to the bathing and main grooming stations. There is a big window you can look through to see some of the dogs being groomed. When I came in, there were two dogs being groomed and they looked happy and relaxed and in capable hands which made me feel good since my boy is so special to me. The staff is very friendly and extremely professional and the owner (Angela) was more than accommodating in addressing my concerns and making sure my boy got everything he needed. When I came to pick him up, he was sitting behind the front desk (in the gated area) just hanging out with the ladies and looking so cute and fluffy and shiny! His nails were trimmed really well (much better than what we could do) and his coat is seriously so fluffy and he smells so good! If you look on their website, you will see that they offer all sorts of cute services and packages. I ended up doing the 'Splash and Dash' which is a bath with ear cleaning but then I ended up adding the nail trimming as well. It does not include a brushing but the owner offered to brush him in the tub after just to remove excess hair after I asked if there was any way they could do that and I really, really appreciated that (I believe the regular service includes more extensive brushing). For $25 for the Splash and Dash and another $10 for the nail clipping the total came to $35 which I think is completely reasonable and absolutely worth it. My parents live here in Chatham and until now I did not have a place around here to bring my pup while down here visiting. I'm happy to say that now I do! Definitely don't hesitate to bring your dog to Ungerdogs. I hope this business does well because I was very happy with my first experience there!

Scout's Honor Dog Grooming - INDIGO BEFORE HIS GROOMING WITH ANGELEKA (ANGIE) OF SCOUTS HONOR GROOMING

I recently moved to Cape Cod from Brooklyn, NYC and have been in the market for a groomer for my 2…read morey.o. Goldendoodle pup. Up until I moved here, I had been grooming him myself, but now that I am pregnant, I thought it best to find a professional for Indigo's very first session ever with a groomer. I must've gotten Angeleka's number from a fellow dog parent at Brewster Dog park, and as soon as I reached out, she got right back to me. I had also reached out to other groomers that were highly recommended, but sadly, all of them were not taking new clients and were already fully booked for the summer. From the get-go and my initial outreach, I was pleasantly surprised at how accessible, flexible, professional and transparent Angeleka was when it came to scheduling and pricing. I had to provide my dog's vaccination record and was provided with an information brochure and signed a waiver. I appreciate how above the board everything was in setting up the appointment. Being that this would be his first professional grooming, Indigo was a bit nervous and anxious on his first visit. I must say how lovely and kind Angeleka (aka Angie) was, kneeling down to the ground, introducing herself to my dog very slowly and gradually, petting and stroking him and offering him treats. I loved that she took her time in allowing him to calm down and get to know her, and her getting to know us, instead of simply whisking him away to get the job done. I can tell that for this groomer, it's not simply a business or a livelihood, but it's more of a passion, as her love for our pets very much is translated in the way she treats them throughout the whole experience. And she does all of this at a very affordable, competitive price, which is so valuable these days! I can't thank Angeleka (Angie) enough, because when I got my pup back, I hardly recognized him! He looked so sleek and beautiful, like a show dog, and he smelled DIVINE!!! My husband even commented that Indigo's hair products smell better than mine! She got all the residual mats out of his shaggy coat and gave him such a nice summer puppy cut. I can say that after the appointment, Indigo had a lot more pep in his step and a lot more energy and overall, was so much happier! If our pups are happy and healthy, and well cared for, we'll be happier humans. I appreciate Angeleka so much for her time and beautiful groom of my dog, Indigo! We'll definitely be back again and again!

Pampered Paws Pet Salon

Mercedes "Benz" the groomer gives excellent cuts, but the customer comes LAST with Pampered Paws!…read more After TWENTY appointments at 11 AM over two YEARS, my dog had an appointment they scheduled for 10 AM today which apparently I had "confirmed" by auto-text a week ago? When my husband arrived at 11 AM he was informed they would not take my dog as we were "more than half a hour late" which is a "grace period", that our dog could be put on a "waiting list" and oh by the way when they would finally groom her whenever that would be, they wanted an additional $35 "late fee" for... what exactly? When it was them that wouldn't take the dog? Over the two years we were given crap for arriving BEFORE 11 "we have other clients you know" so today my husband actually spent time waiting around in order not to arrive TOO EARLY which he apologized to me for when he got home as if he wasn't doing exactly what Pampered Paws had taught us to expect to do. We have also been given crap for not picking her up early when contacted as if were supposed to expectd to be available, or for attempting to pick her up on time without being contacted, because it's somehow the client's fault that the groomer hasn't gotten the dog finished after FIVE HOURS at the boutique. One of them has very poor social skills and actually lied to my dog sitter back in December the last time Amber was groomed there; this woman claimed to my sitter that services are "never prepaid" and that my sitter was lying when she stated her experience to the contrary. As despite the labeled button on their website, Pampered Paws has no actual publicly available written policies, it's understandable that there is ambiguity, so a few days later I did have a conversation over the phone that seemed to clarify that prepaying was possible (which I knew because we had done it) but failed to address the issue of the rude behavior. Judee actually chuckled on the phone when saying that is "not their policy to release a dog without paying" as if we weren't long-term clients with known phone numbers who could have given a credit card over the phone if we had even been asked. She absolutely bungled that interaction but rather than apolgize she just doubled down on the sarcasm. I should have taken it as a sign there and then. Round numbers, I have spent $2000 at Pampered Paws, but they won't get another cent from me until they're "Under New Management"!

We were prepared to pay $150x2. Then she claims she losing money and will have to charge $100 additional!! What!!!! Our Naples Florida groomer charges $120 x 2, and they know how to groom Samoyeds with their double coats. The owner continually changes prices. She was rude and unprofessional. After 11 years!!!!! She has a policy of charging customers if they are late or need to cancel. However, she has called us numerous times to come at a different time or change our appointment to another day. We were nice enough to accommodate her. When we tried to remind her of that, she said she thinks more of herself to be talked to like that, told us that she was not going to charge us, take your dogs and leave. This is how you treat a client of 11 years.
