When we…read moremoved to Maui with our dog from Australia, our biggest concern was where he would be able to stay when we took time away for work or vacation. When we met Deb, we knew she was the one. Her love for animals is so apparent, but she still has rules in place. We have left Marley with her 4 times for stays ranging from 3 days to two weeks and every time he sees her his tail starts wagging and he jumps straight in to her car! The first time we left him she sent us photos that night of him running in fields and having a ball with the other dogs which instantly put our minds at ease - he clearly wasn't missing us! Our boy is a needy golden retriever and we could never leave him in a kennel. Deb has been an absolute savior. Her pricing is the same as leaving your beloved pooch in a kennel but her services are worth a million bucks. Every time we leave home, the only thing we worry about for Marley is whether or not he's going to want to come back with us!

So we called Athena to book a house visit for our precious pooches so we could spend the day galavanting, and our pups could spend half an hour playing and enjoying a potty break and treats. They both had fun training with Such Good Dogs previously so they are very relaxed with Athena. We totally trust Athena with our pups and our house so she has the code to access the property. The visit was right on time, our boys loved the attention, and Athena texted some lovely photos of the pooch party at our house. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing when you are at the other end of the island poochless. It meant we could relax and be worry free. My poodle mix rescue needed a full groom and I didn't have time to trek into Wailuku to my usual…read moregroomer so I called Catherine to see if she could fit him into her schedule. Easy to text and arrange. Unfortunately due to an unexpected family emergency I had to cancel and she was understanding of the situation. So, I rescheduled a few weeks later and again she was very happy to try another date and time and give me a 2nd chance. Catherine is a mobile groomer, she has a setup on the back of her truck with a grooming table, etc. She bathed our boy in our kitchen sink (we have a huge one specially for washing our dogs!) and took him out to her truck to do the fluff n scissoring. I was a bit uncertain about him being in our driveway on a busy street as he is a bolter, especially without a collar on, but Catherine kept him safe the whole time. I asked that his face was kept to a rounded puppy look with short ears and she did a really nice job. I also requested she shave his paws, the first time we have tried this, since sand and plant matter are always stuck to his fur and he chews away at his paws after every walk. He looked odd to begin with having never had poodle paws, but it is beginning to grow on me and I think it is going to make a huge difference to him. He looks like he has had a pawdicure....hahahaha. His nails are nicely trimmed and the fur perfectly shaved around each toe pad. A great job on a dog who doesn't like his feet touched! Catherine was kind and careful with my soul puppy, and he was happy to be with her, which isn't always the case with groomers in his past. If you are looking for a groomer for a dog who doesn't like the car, or going to a grooming salon, is older, younger or you are house bound this is the groomer for you. The groom was $75 which is the going rate on the island for salon groomers. I had actually expected the groom to be more expensive so I was pleasantly surprised. Even making an appointment for one sick cat became so complicated that I would never recommend calling this office. Additionally, I was sent a photo release form to sign to allow them to release photos of not only my pet, but me as well. Do they think they are Hollywood? No, I do not recommend. The vet herself may be great, I'll never know as I can't get beyond the office staff.

(My dog needed amputation of leg) other vets said not to do it as he may only last 6 months and it's a complicated, risky operation. The vet listened and just said let's see him walking to see if he has energy and fitness to take it ( I I knew he had ) within seconds he said yes Let's do it) I was shocked he decided So quickly along with his desire to eliminate champs pain and give him a chance. it's absolutely fantastic to meet a Vet who has the passion and God Given Rare Gift to be all he was for us and our dog. An Amazing Team A dream. A true miracle was performed and without fuss or drama or any sign of not being successful, performing this difficult procedure. MY Husband and I are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy . Saving our boy, giving him relief for however long ??? not known but he won't be in pain he is still energetic and strong He can swim with ease and run like before 3 legs who needs more? without the pain He can join in the game Once more Wow This is the One and Only vet I will ever go to As long as they are there.
