BBQ joint

The first time that I heard about this place it was still a concept. Then all of a sudden I saw it came up on my Yelp feed, I didn't even realize it became a thing already. I just happened to be in the area, so I stopped by to see what it was all about. The Pawn Plaza is on the small side. If you have ever been to the pawn shop, you know that the parking lot is already cramped but they were still able to fit this plaza in. During my visit, I was surprised how easy it was to find parking. There were tons of people at the pawn shop, but the plaza was a ghost town. Most of the stores close around 5pm on a weekday-- even the donut shop! The purpose of my visit was for a donut, but the only place open was the BBQ spot. It did smell really good, maybe I'll have to bookmark it and give it a try. So donuts, Rita's Italian Ice, BBQ, and Italian-- that's all I saw. I read somewhere something about poutine, but I didn't see that. If you are a fan of Pawn Stars, then this place is a must for you since there were pictures of the cast everywhere. I like the little cartoon rick on the BBQ sign. Reality shows are usually not my thing, but I do enjoy the Pawn Stars (History Channel addict over here) and will always opt to watch this show over the Kardashians any day. There were some history antiques on display second floor. Make sure to take a selfie at the Chum Lee selfie station!

Wish there were more shops. We tried the smoked barbecue place and visited Chumlee's Candy Shop. The "Pawn Star" opened the door himself and was very welcoming. I'm glad they're branching out. Nothing like old fashioned entrepreneurship to change this part of town, where it used to be a seedy no man's land is now a colorful building with potential. I hope the locals will patronize this place.

I have been to Pawn Plaza a few times now and enjoyed most of what there is to offer. Pawn Plaza is a small strip mall made of shipping containers and the outside of them is hard to miss with noticeable bright colors of blue, yellow and red. Since each business is inside a shipping container and though some businesses take up more than one container, there isn't much room inside them aside from Rick's Rolling Smoke BBQ and Tavern which does offer a limited amount of seating and tables. Pawn Plaza has a 1st and 2nd level with seating and tables. Downstairs is best during the colder months because there is heat lamps above most of the tables. This last winter I met with a friend for dinner and was worried I'd be too cold, but sitting at one of the tables with a heat lamp above made it so I didn't feel cold and was able to comfortable enjoy my meal and company. Upstairs there weren't any heat lamps and it's pretty much open air. There are two sets of stairs and one elevator that will get you upstairs and back down and there are bathrooms. Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame owns Pawn Plaza and it's funny the amount of people that line up next door at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop that he owns to try and get a picture when he can be found some nights tending bar here upstairs at Rick's Tavern. Rick was behind the bar one night when I was there recently and I have to say that while he did come over to take a picture with us, he really wasn't very friendly and seemed like he didn't really want to be there. Pawn Plaza has been pretty dead when I have visited which is too bad because there are some solid places for food and parking has been hassle free. If anything call and place an order for pick up at the pizza place and take it back to your home or hotel room and thank me later. Current tenants at Pawn Plaza: Smoke's Poutinerie - Located downstairs. Try this it's good! They even have vegetarian options and I really love that the gravy isn't overly salty, it's just right. Rick's Rollin' Smoke BBQ and Tavern - Redneck Nachos are very good! Restaurant is downstairs and bar is upstairs, but food can be ordered from the bar. Rita's Ice Custard Happiness - located downstairs and the perfect way to finish off a meal from one of the eateries is with some delicious Italian ice from here :) Inna Gadda di Pizza - Located downstairs. If you are a fan of Secret Pizza (before it blew up on tv and became one of the worst kept secrets in vegas) then you will love the pizza here. It's opened by the creator of Secret Pizza and the prices (for now anyway) are very reasonable. The pizza and calzones are really tasty. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card. So-Cal Speed Shop - Located upstairs. Vegas Flip Flops - Located upstairs. Pawn Plaza Vowel Renewal - Located upstairs. Pawn Donut & Coffee - Located Downstairs. Owned by the same people behind Inna Gadda di Pizza, which is why you will find the days leftover donuts for sale at the pizza place, isn't really that great. I have had a few of the donuts from here and just wasn't impressed. I'll stick with the pizza and poutine!

Pawn Donuts...Best Long John I have ever eaten! Friendly people. The tables and chairs are great for an outdoor place they don't feel like they are going to colapse under you. Going back to try the pizza.

I second Nijole T.'s review for the LV NORTH Premium Outlets…read more This outlet store is way better than the SOUTH location. Easy Parking. However ... paying $5.00 for parking no matter what I find extremely off-putting. The Simon Shops Network wants you to come to their outlets and empty your wallet ... but they insist on charging you $5.00 no matter how long you're there ? That's insulting. This location has a good mix of low end, mid and high end shops. Good variety. Well Done. I wanted to go to the Converse Store, Sketchers & Vans ... however ... I didn't find any shoes that fit my criteria. I'm looking for ultra light, low flat sole , comfortable walking shoes .... I don't see anything like this in stores only online.. . Also ... I wasn't planning on buying anything but Vercini sucked me into their store with their flashy displays ... this store sells clothing that suits my friend Jason L. To A "Tee". Those glittery club driven shirts, tops and T's is signature Las Vegas party scene ... and although most people probably wouldn't look good in this clothing ... it actually looks great on him ... It was a fun day and I enjoyed my shopping experience even tho the $5.00 parking is "no bueno" in my book.

You have to be extra great at parking garage parking. I get to park for free because I'm a local but I don't agree that non-locals should pay $5. to park at a mall. Today I saw THREE escalators that were closed and not turned on with "Caution Tape or Signs" around them. The first one I noticed is the main one on the second level that gets you from the garage over the traffic to the mall. Then I saw two others that were down and also at least one elevator. We had a dangerous walk to get to the mall because of this. Also a dangerous walk back to get to the parking garage. Other than that- What's here are very high end mostly women's clothes and woman's accessories. High end watches, at least one menswear shop with a Alice Cooper and Kiss theme inside. Casual food choices and a few chains. Maybe one ramen shop. To bad about Sachs off the Fifth. They just announced all their stores are closing. This location is over half empty already. On the bright side I did get a much needed shiny new purse.

Who just wants to have fun! Let's go to the mall!!…read more I remember when I was younger it was let's hit the mall for fun times. Then as my children were growing up we gathered at the mall too. Then the stimulation of the mall went away. The stores had nothing new and fresh. Now after visiting the mall in the last year, Fashion show has started to become different and offer more opportunities to have fun with those around you . They inspire one's imagination with small road trip displays that drag your imagination into perspective. Did you know that you can visit the North Pole? Right from Vegas? Even see Santa? An individual can even phone Santa from a playful private pay phone. No quarters needed! The possibilities here at Fashion Show are unbelievable. Take photo by the tree. The reindeer were unable for this trip. After all that fun at the North Pole, what did you truly come for? What are you looking for you will find it here? They offer the major stores: Neiman, Saks, Nordstrom's, and Macys for all those fabulous designer items. If it's that turquoise box your seeking Tiffany's is here too. They even have new toys stores to keep the little ones busy. Come and build that new magical friend at Build A Bear and enchant it and bring it to life with your magic. It's a beautiful enchanting experience for the whole family, no matter what your age. After all that shopping and having fun it's time to grab a bite to eat. Let's decide where to eat there are so many epic places and options. You can have things like pizza or choose to eat higher class. The choices are endless . My favorite little alcove is inside Neiman Marcus . The restaurant has it all. You have drinks, great eats, perfect service and views of all around the strip . What's not to love? The themed restaurant inside Neiman Marcus has winged butterflies. Let's see what we can find perfects a pinch of sparkling joy too! Shall we continue!
