You will never find more caring owners than at Bark and Roll! They took this business over in July…read more2020, so any reviews prior to that are irrelevant to the great environment that Bark and Roll is now. My dog almost rips my arm off to get inside and comes home tired from a fun day of playing with his doggy friends. I have been to several other doggy day care faculties in our area as well as two other states so I do have over 20 years of experiences. I have learned that no matter what cleaning precautions are taken and how much people care, dogs will still pass things to other dogs just like kids do at daycare, preschool, etc. I have never been upset at my kids school because one of my children came home sick as it's the nature of being outside of your house. Bark and Roll takes every precaution possible to keeps dogs healthy and happy. They deeply care about each and every dog which is something I value above all else. They have three dogs of their own that are their babies, one of which was a rescue who has blossomed from playing there, and they are there almost every day with them. I have realistic expectations of a doggy daycare and if you do too, you will never take your dog anywhere else. side note I have boarded my dogs with a dog trainer from a big name training facility in NOVA who said the benefit of boarding with him personally was that he takes 1-3 dogs to his home for boarding to be with his family which keeps them from getting sick. BOTH times I paid over $1000 for this, and BOTH times my dog came home with kennel cough and then whip worms the second time. He was in a private home with no more than 2 other dogs. My point in adding this is that it only takes ONE dog to make your dog sick and the only way to prevent that is to stay home. I choose to take my dog to place place where he is loved and cared for the way he is at home!

I will NEVER bring my dog here. THEY HATE THEIR JOB!

We contacted her through email and got a quick response and she did a very thorough and complete consult to ensure our needs were met by her and her team. We met a few days before our departure which was day after Christmas. Within two days of our consult, one of our dogs became ill and had to be hospitalized during Christmas Eve due to reaction to a pain medication and was discharged Christmas Day. We contemplated canceling our vacation but didn't and relied on Gabriela and her team to take care of our dog while she recovered (slowly). She needed medications, extra attention, as well as taking care of another dog while we were away for 5 days. We almost canceled our trip but glad we didn't as Burke Center Pet Sitting took care of our fukids and helped our sick one recover during our absence. They communicated every day, checked in our dogs multiple times a day, dispensed medications, and cleaned up after a sick dog. Within the first day we were confident we made the right decision. I can go on about how great Burke Centre Pet Sitting is but the simplest way to put it is we put in their hands a dog that was hospitalized Christmas Eve and they were able to take care of her and make us comfortable to enjoy our vacation. I can't give any testimony better than that. If you are looking for a local (Fairfax/Burke area), professional, and caring Pet Sitting service Gabriela and Burke Centre Pet Sitting is the way to go. I'm so glad I found this company because we'll be a loyal customer for life.

The staff is incredibly loving and communicates well with the pet owners. The dogs are kept on a strict schedule of playing in the communal playroom, getting walks, napping, eating meals, and going to sleep at night. I think the schedule really helps the dogs know what to expect at any time during their stay. I recommend having your dog go for a few days / half days of daycare prior to the first boarding visit as it helps the dog become familiar with the establishment, the routines and to know that they'll eventually go home again. I can't say enough about the staff! They're all very caring and pass along important information as well as comments about your dog that make you realize how much they interact and care about each and every dog in their care. I only wish I had found this establishment years ago!

I can attest to the fact that the staff goes above and beyond in caring for the dogs. They provide for them, what they need personally and treat them like their own. My dog always gets excited as we drive down the street to Dog Tales and can't get out of the car fast enough to get inside. I often look at the pet cam to see what's happening. So often, the staff is petting, hugging, and playing with the dogs. It truly is peace of mind for me to know that leaving my dog at this daycare is like leaving her with family. She is always well taken care of and I will always be grateful that I was fortunate enough to find Dog Tales.

I first came here to help a dog I care for with separation anxiety (she's not mine, we just bonded…read morevery strongly). We met with Dr. Cullen and he was both informative, kind, and walked us through the process and checked up on us a few days later. We saw him a handful more times after that for other dog maintenance things. I then was struggling under the care of another vet with my very first puppy. As soon as I got on the phone with Cassidy (hope I'm spelling her name right), I was immediately soothed as she gave me a lot of information, help, and guidance through my situation. I requested Dr. Cullen again as I had some previous experience and liked how he operated. He was somehow even better than last time--talked me through pup's issues, walked me through treatment, and reassured me. Luckily, pup almost immediately improved! I ended up signing up for their wellness plan and am happy to be a part of VCA's CareClub instead of our previous vet. They also have significantly more availability than previous vet and happen to be within walking distance to my home. So happy we returned, and so happy pup & I get to feel safe.

Most recently, l've come back to this VCA because of Dr Keeley being Fear Free Certified. Olivia is also wonderful with my dogs, no matter if they're fearful or reactive. HOWEVER, if this review didn't include them, it'd be absolutely 0 stars for my interactions with their administration vet assistant Cassidy. She contradicts processes that I've been told by other admin staff leading to confusion, is unkind to my animals, is rude to fellow staff including speaking badly about them to me while they're out of the room, and is not communicative at all to other staff members or owners leading to confusion and a generally off-putting experience. I have no issue at all if there's an appointment running long & we need to reschedule for another time or something like that - I have an issue with how she speaks to people, staff & owners alike. Telling an owner things you don't like about the vet or vet tech is really inappropriate and needs to be handled without involving clients. I've been to so many VAs and never had this awful of an interaction, even leading to confrontation. If not for Olivia and Dr Keeley, I would've stopped coming here because I don't want Cassidy near my animals or me or frankly in any customer/client-facing role.
