She understands that the dogs require time to warm up, and that they both have good days and bad days just like us. In the meantime, I ran into the owner of the dog she was walking & he gave her glowing reviews & her contact info. After I moved, I adopted my dogs & was ready to go on my pre--arranged vacation. I contacted Golie who did a home visit to meet my two pooches. Her professionalism & motivation was evident from the start. When I explained that Chico had to take several meds for his heart, she didn't flinch. I told her that Jesse had peed all over the doctors office when he was supposed to be providing moral support for Chico. She laughed & said "there are different forms of moral support." She is able to turn every instance into a positive even when I make fun of my dogs. They immediately loved her & I felt so confident to leave them in her very capable hands. I went overseas & Golie sent daily updates with pictures of their progress. They were hooked on the attention, love & care that she provided. When I returned she stopped by my house to pick up something & they sat at her feet while I stood on the opposite side of the kitchen. When I remarked on how attached they were next to her, she responded that she was there temporarily. She has taken care of very special needs pets without hesitation. When she tells me what she has to do with some I am astonished. She says "it's my job." Without hesitation I would recommend Golie to anyone who needs a dog sitter. Woof--woof

I contacted Wags 4 Walks on Wednesday about cat sitting for an upcoming vacation 1 month from now…read more Explained my situation to Brian, my need for cat sitting (20 min visit every 2-3 days), and provided my address. He said I was just a bit out of their service area, but he could make it work based on our flexibility with days. We scheduled the initial meetup on Saturday, and he says he's right outside. I text him because no one is on the driveway, and even send him the address again. He texts back that he thought no one was home (2 cars in the driveway and I confirmed we were home just 20 min before). And he cancels saying we are 30 min away from his farthest client. Randomly, he texts me 3 images of dogs and cats for no reason. With today's technology, he could have Googled my address and known the distance from me to his next client without having to drive it. I can understand if we were located way outside of his service area, but either the service map is out of date, or Brian just doesn't care to be professional about declining service. He should have notified us with a phone call instead of a random text message 10 minutes after our appointment saying, "It didn't look like anyone was home.". It seems professionalism and courtesy are seriously lacking for this company. I would not recommend Wags 4 Walks to anyone since Brian was not honest with us in any way.

I contacted Becky's Pet care in 2012 to walk my rescue German shepherd Mia…read more I had called five other places and each one would politely say they couldn't help me once they actually got IN the house to meet Mia. (If you have a shepherd you know what I'm talking about). Mia had been abused and then fostered by five to six different foster families. I was her last one. She was the sweetest dog to me but if you were a stranger, you had to earn her trust--and it wasn't easy. She was beaten by a man so, it was twice as hard if you were a man. I was also told by her last foster that she got in the garbage, chewed up everything and was in general very destructive. The lady they sent was awesome. She even coordinated with my friend (who Mia trusted) to have someone there she (Mia) knew until Mia got used to their employee. I believe her name was Sephira. Well, Sephira and Mia became best friends and after about a two week get-to-know-each-other period--everything went very smoothly. My dog was let out in the middle of the day for a short walk and then loved up and played with, and watered. Never came home to any accidents and even got a poop report! Lol. I just rescued another German shepherd but have moved out of their service area. I just wanted everyone to know what wonderful people they have working there. And, Mia lived a very long, happy life. She passed in 2018 at 16 years old.

Having them taking care of and walk him through out the day and making sure his needs are taken care of before they leave gives me a sense of peace.
