Overall the experience was exceptional. From the "second" I entered the building I was greeted and helped. The dental ast. Walked me to the back, made small talk, asked how I was, and what issue needed attention. He explained what he was going to do before he did it and explained everything in very easy to understand detail. The dentist (Dr. Harmon) was exactly the same. Very approachable and cool! :) Thats how Jose the DA described him. When I walked in they were getting ready to have a morning team meeting, when they were done every came to the front in a very happy and enthusiastic manner. I have had the worst luck of anyone I know when it comes to finding a decent dentist. In fact, I received a refund from a surgeon who placed an implant and the dentist who subsequently placed the hideous crown on the implant. Both failed me to the degree that they could not deny their failures, so they each offered and provided me a refund. I would have rather paid and have had the procedures done in an acceptable manner!! You know how some people don't like attorneys? I actually don't like dentists. LOL! Well, that was until yesterday!! Dr. Bryan Harman did a fantastic job replacing a broken crown! It is the best looking, best fitting crown of my lifetime and I have a mouth full of crowns! Now I want all of the substandard and oversized crowns in my mouth replaced to be as natural and as good of a fit as this new crown!! Dr. Harman was super patient with me as I gagged and had trouble breathing while he was trying to work on me. I made mention of his patience. He was not only patient, he was also kind and caring! He obviously also takes pride in his work and a satisfactory outcome!! Dr. Harman's assistant, Maggie, was also impressive!! She was spot on with everything she did! She was conscientious and meticulous, just like Dr. Harman!! They make a great team! They made the experience "fun" in a way that I wouldn't expect at a dentist's office! I have found a new dentist! When I showed my hubby the new crown versus some of my other crowns, he said he would go to Dr. Harman next time he needs to visit the dentist! Been a patient for several years. Last 2 cleanings were less than spectacular, and due to obtaining a "deep" cleaning previously, even though they conducted a mediocre at best regular cleaning, I am still being charged for a peri-maintenance. Hygienist told me it was just a regular cleaning. Office refuses to accept mistake, so they can keep the measly $68 and they've lost 3 patients in the process. Good business call. Dentists are a dime a dozen, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

This review is not about the quality of care received, it's about provider office attitude and service. I had rescheduled an appointment with this group a couple times before, and was running 15 minutes late to my rescheduled appointment.  The office staff accepted the call that I was running behind and then upon arrival a little past 15 minutes (first time there, couldn't find it) the front desk brusquely refused to check me in and instead offered to reschedule with a $50 dollar deposit.  Needless to say, they just lost 4 patients. read more

This review is not for Dr. Block, he is a good and caring doctor. This review is for the front desk people who schedule appointments. The appointment was for dental cleaning which I had scheduled one month ago. My hygienist Kristen was not available so I waited for almost a month to get it done. And to my surprise on the day of my appointment which was today I was told that it was never with Kristen and instead they booked me with someone else I never was even heard of. The front desk blatantly lied to me and kept me waiting for the appointment for 1 whole month. Extremely unprofessional front desk. read more

We love the dentists, but the Front Office needs to get their act together . . . . Normally, we get overcharged because they keep referencing the wrong fee schedule. Today, my wife was overcharged by $100 because we were billed under a code different than what the dentist said he was performing. Almost always a hassle. Very frustrating :( read more

My husband and I are new to PHX and we're looking for a new dentist. After ALOT of research, we finally decided on PD. Making an appointment was super easy. The front desk staff are super sweet. We are so happy we made the decision to come to PD. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Very thorough with X rays and exams. They really do care about the Health of your teeth and gums. They are not pushing expensive procedures on you for their gain. I do not like the dentist at all. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease. They caught on to an issue that my other dentist had overlooked for years. If I could give Dr.Harmon 10 stars I would. The Gilmore's are patients for life! read more

Very pleased with my experience at Pavilion Dental yesterday. The dental assistant was very sweet and the hygienist nice and gentle. The dentist was awesome. I thought I had a broken cavity ( it is over 35 yrs old) but he suggested I keep using sensodyne toothpaste and get a fluoride treatment with my cleaning. There was no concern of bad fillings just sensitive teeth. I have had friends complain of their dentist doing unnecessary work/treatments. Not this office.. they are honest. About a year and a half ago I faced the terrifying situation of having an upper bridge, spanning 4 teeth, literally fall out. I immediately went to the dentist who placed the bridge and was told it would take 5 days to even begin assessing the situation - only heightening my anxiety. I was referred to Dr. Adam Block by a friend and seeing him is the single best decision I've made in my oral healthcare journey. 100% empathetic to my situation, he squeezed me in during his lunch hour, quickly assessed, gave me options, and began molding a temporary immediately. Needless to say, this won me over! Many dental visits later, I am a huge fan! He is consistently professional, inviting, caring, and never ever inflates what really needs to be done. (In the past, after cleanings, Dentists would recommend a million things needing to be done and all for a very low astronomical fee). The office is full of joy and always very clean! As a person who was always nervous about visiting the dentist, I am thrilled to say I now actually enjoy visiting! I moved to Peoria a year ago and gave this place a try after reading all the positive reviews. I have not been disappointed. First of all the office staff are all very professional and pleasant to speak with. I starting out going there for a cleaning and assessment. Excellent jobs both times I have went in there for a cleaning. During this time, I broke a crown which necessitated me getting an implant. The surgeon removed the tooth and I was fitted for the cosmetic temp. The process takes four months and today I have my beautiful replacement tooth that looks perfect. I went back and look at records from 3 years ago and my insurance provider confirmed that I overpaid according to my plan. They had no intention of returning close to $300. I've been going to Pavilion since shortly after they opened and they are far superior to my last dentist. Highlights: - I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointments. - I have yet to encounter an unpleasant person on staff there. They are all very friendly and helpful. - As mentioned by someone else, the primary dentist is quite young, as is the orthodontist, but both are whip-smart and knowledgeable in their field. Further, they both take the time to explain everything in "plain English," unlike my previous dentists. Frankly, if they left to go to other practices, I'd follow! - They very clearly lay out courses of treatment and various payment options, making planning ahead very easy. - I've had to "drop in" twice to have something on my braces adjusted. They worked me in very fast and took care of me, no problems. - They do same day crowns, making them right there in the office. Trust me, that's pretty darn convenient! For anyone on the NW side (or farther, even,) I highly recommend giving this office a try. read more

Dr. Harmon is excellent and has a wonderful team working with him.

This is not on the doctor at Pavilion Dental Group. Its in regards to office management and the estimates being quoted to patients. My father was quoted for a procedure to fix several issues in his teeth. He was called today - a day before his appointment - that the fee they gave him was wrong by more than triple the amount, and he was not very interested in customer retention or willing to offer any sort of compensation for the mistake of the office. As a result, he is no longer going to be going to this practice. Would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Appointment scheduled for 10:30am, called an hour ahead to confirm appointment. They stated my appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. She apologized and said someone must have entered it into the computer wrong by mistake. She checked to see if there was any other times available for the day, which there weren't, she consulted with someone in the back and said if you can hurry over now we can make it happen. And I did, said I could be there in 15. After arriving and filling out paperwork, I was taken back by the dentist (DDS Richard Farnsworth), sat in the chair and went through initial questions with him. He proceeded to tell me the conditions of the appointment were around performing an exam and X-RAY's. I questioned a cleaning and he stated a cleaning may happen only if your gums are healthy etc... I asked why exactly isn't that clarified when I called in, or while I was upfront, I just had braces pulled off the day before and have had this scheduled for 2 weeks to make sure I get a cleaning done... This exam and X-rays could have been scheduled anytime in the past 2 weeks to make sure a cleaning would occur that day. The doc smirked and said I'm sensing frustration here. I said of course you do, it's not until I'm in the chair you guys start to communicate with your patients, and the dude stormed off saying you know what, were done here. He walked up front, handed my chart off to the people at the desk and I walked out. I've never been so disrespected by a business. Incompetent, rude, and far from recommended. read more

I've just had a teeth cleaning and whitening here and I love the results so glad I was able to come in and take care of my teeth! The staff is friendly and outgoing the girl that cleaned my teeth was awesome and the girl that whitened my teeth was awesome as well! She came and checked on me when my teeth needed to be checked she was prompt and courteous! She even put an entertaining movie on for me so the process didn't seem so long!! My whole family has had consistently great experiences here. The dentists, hygienists, and office staff are all friendly and skilled. The equipment, facilities, and services are current. Most importantly, my two young children actually look forward to dentist appointments there! The dentists and hygienists really know how to make them comfortable. From a client perspective, I appreciate that the evaluations are honest and not at all oriented to up selling services. Our last dentist was high pressured to fill every suspected or very minor cavity.
