It is indeed one of Vienna's oldest apothecaries - if not the oldest - but it is lovingly cared for and provides all the conveniences of a modern facility. You can just stop in here for a look or if you are need medicine and are not going to die in the next hour, this is a good pharmacy to travel to and pick up your medicine. It had rich wooden counter tops, brass and bronze fixtures, and a level of care and service like I've never experienced from most pharmacies! They had everything in Austrian, and the clerk wasn't the best with English, but we got the messages across with international sign language. Fortunately, chemical names of drugs apply internationally, and we got everything figured out. One of the other customers stepped in and helped when there was a bit of misunderstanding, but it all worked out! They had everything that we needed. The prices were nowhere near what you find at the local CVS or Walgreens. Parking is challenging, with only parking on the street.

It is ideal for athletic injuries and joint pain after an acute or prolonged injury. From the various pharmacies in Vienna this one was by far my favorite. Not just from the experience but from a customer satisfaction perspective.
