Thanks for Google search I found DM - drogerie markt which was a few minutes away from my hotel; yet, out of sight. Similar to your local drug store, in my case CVS, DM sells cosmetics, healthcare items, household products, and healthy/convenient foods. Their layout looks more like an clutter-free, upscale bodega (corner store) than the layout of a pharmacy or CVS. However, the signage is quite similar (including the red letters in the company's name.) Almost every products' package is in German but, the items are recognizable. As for bagging items, they use paper instead of plastic. Chic!

I'm not an addict, I can stop anytime, I swear... If you're visiting from the US, these items should be on your shopping list: *Labello lip balm - WAY better than Chapstick. There's one place in CHI that stocks these, and I have to pay $6-7/ea vs EUR $2 *Kneipp bath salts - $20+ per jar at home, EUR$6 or less here! *Nivea cream in the blue tins. Not the same as the stuff for sale in the US! There's only one place in the States that imports the European formula and it's more than double the price. I'm sure if you live here and have access to this stuff all of the time, this is probably a 3-star place. But I saved a ton of money on some of my favorite things, so 4 stars from me!

Essentially, a solid place to shop if you live in Vienna and often has some good bargains . Service is generally efficient and courteous enough (especially for Vienna).

They will recommend you anything and everything from OTC medications to skin care products, etc. Bonus: They also have VAT / Tax Refund here! Just ask for purchases 50€ or above.
