So when a cracked tooth called for an extraction and implant I needed to have the best and I found the best in Dr. Denemark for this procedure. Dr. Denemark and his team of professionals made an 1hr long procedure feel like 30 minutes and with no pain during or post surgery. I highly recommend the product he recommended called "Nu Calm". To be brief, you are asked to chew a few tablets, then a set of Bose headphones are placed on your head and classical music is played; within minutes you are in a calm and meditated state during the surgery and will feel no pain during or post surgery. I truly am surprised that more Dentists are not using Nu Calm. I would also like to recommend Dr. Michael Morgan of Hinsdale (Smiles by Morgan). Great guy and a great dentist. However, when I returned for a cleaning, the hispanic dental cleaner spoke with such a thick accent, I couldn't understand her. I am hearing impaired, and asked this person three times to talk more clearly. Finally I said that speaking LOUDER is not the same as speaking more clearly, and that as she came from another culture, primary English speakers don't always understand what she is saying. She finally spoke more clearly, and finished. I thought eveything was fine until I received a letter from Stopka accusing me of being a bigot. I am assuming that this hispanic teeth cleaner complained to Stopka, and didn't like her accent being questioned. I believe professionals should put the patient first, and also understand that those who grow up speaking a language other than English need to learn CLEAR speech. One can find other dentists and staff that communicate CLEARLY.You can have your mercury removed elsewhere else. Her prices are also above average to very high. Not the news I was hoping for, but it is what it is. He went through my options with me and fully explained them. I really appreciated that. I set up an appointment for the next day with Dr. Emily Smythe for extraction. She and her assistant (whose name regrettably escapes me right now) made me as comfortable as I could be, making sure that nothing was done until the novocaine was totally working. I was amazed at how short of a time this actually took. The extraction and bone graft for my upcoming implant took maybe 10-15 minutes. The next step, in about 3 months will be the post for the implant.
