Our daughter has attended 3 different pre-schools before this one due to my husband's change in…read morework location. This is by far the best school we have come across. It exceeds all of our expectations and is reasonably priced compared to others in the area. Here are a few of our favorite parts about VVCC. 1. Structure! Previous schools would switch out teachers depending on how many children were in class that day. Which left my daughter feeling insecure in her environment. VVCC reliably has the same teachers daily no matter the class size. 2. Cleanliness! Hand washing is prioritized upon check in. Before my daughter can join the class, the school asks that I take her potty and to wash her hands. She has not been sick at all this year. At previous schools she got hand foot and mouth, stomach bugs, and respiratory infections. 3. Flexibility! My daughter is crazy hyper and strong willed. Her teacher works with my daughter concerning her struggles and gives her different options to help her cope in the classroom. At other schools she was forced to be just like the other kids or leave. They really work with the children individually while still teaching them discipline. 4. Lots of family events! I never knew any other parents or friends at other schools. Here, we have family friends because there are meet and greets, harvest festivals, book readings, and holiday programs. 5. Learning letters! I love the curriculum they use to introduce and teach the pre-K class letters. They assign animals to a letter to help the children remember and my daughter uses that daily as she does activities at home. 6. Spanish immersion! The pre-k class gets Spanish lessons on Fridays and my daughter is picking up so quick! 7. Healthy snacks that change for diversity! 8. Great toys that are changed out weekly! Their outdoor play is large and has great options as well. 9. My daughter LOVES it. We wish we would have found VVCC sooner! Check them out, you will be glad you did .

They have gone over and above for our family in the past, and I will always appreciate that. I couldn't recommend this preschool enough! The children are shown so much love and patience. My daughter loves going to school and says it's her favorite place to go to.

My son has been attending Arroyo Grande Montessori School, and I honestly cannot say enough…read morewonderful things about our experience. From the moment we enrolled him, it was clear that this is such a positive, nurturing environment where children are truly encouraged to grow and thrive. When he first started, my son wasn't really developmentally ready for a structured learning environment, but Miss Elizabeth and Mr. Andrew went above and beyond to meet him exactly where he was. Their patience, care, and expertise have been incredible to witness. Thanks to their guidance, he has grown so much academically and socially. His reading skills have improved tremendously, and he is now confident and enthusiastic about learning every single day. Beyond academics, the school has fostered a warm, inclusive community where my son has built a wonderful group of friends. The environment is consistently supportive, happy, and inspiring, which makes both children and parents feel at ease. It's clear that the staff genuinely love what they do, and that passion translates into an extraordinary experience for the kids. Arroyo Grande Montessori School has exceeded all of our expectations. My son loves going to school every day, and as a parent, it is such a relief and joy to see him flourishing in such a caring, encouraging, and positive setting. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, high-quality early education for their child.

I would challenge the other review, based on a few statements. 1) The author lives over 250 miles…read moreaway, implying their review to be based on another persons statements. 2) The policies of the church changed to only employing those qualified by the state and attend the church. As it should be. 3) the scaling down of the preschool size means better quality of care and education for your child. 4) If you now anything about preschools and todays economy, preschools are lucky of they break even year to year. I think Little Oaks Preschool is a great place to bring your child. Is there room for improvement, yes, but which preschool is perfect?

This used to be a great christian school. It had a very experienced and friendly staff. This past…read moreyear they promoted a new director for the preschool. It has since gone down hill fast. This new director is not qualified nor experienced to run a preschool. The pastors of the church along with the director ( who is also a new hope church member) are using the church and the school for personal gain. They recently let a teacher go who is a cal poly graduate with 30 years experience, 19 of which has been at little oaks so that the pastors' daughter could have a job. She has no experience and no formal training. This school does not have the best interests of the children at heart and need to have their license reviewed as well as the rights of the teachers which are also being violated. Until this school cleans up their act I would not recommend this school to anyone!

I have not even written a review on anything, good, bad or indifferent. However, PLEASE read and…read moretake my words heavily into account. Do NOT leave your kids here-find another place. I believe the positive reviews are a 100% falsified. There is yelling, anger, tons of tv, abuse (yes, I unfortunately say this with certainty), and nothing (I repeat) NOTHING good to come out of this location for your child. Do not chalk up my review as a bitter parent because of this or that. I'm a parent saving your kids from what I wish another parent had had the guts to say prior to me.

And I met and interviewed 7 different facilities. After deciding between 2, I read Yelp reviews. Boy am I glad I went with my gut. I chose Markell based on her gentle, kind demeanor, interaction with my daughters, and her pride for her quality of care. The girls loved their "workout time" (Markell does yoga and stretching with the kids). Their crafts were fun and age appropriate. And thanks to Markell's weekly routine, weekend nap time is not a struggle. They know it's nap time at Markell's so it's nap time at home (thank you Markell). I also want to mention the girls learned about charity. Around Christmas Markell and Warren would host a parent's night. They chose different charities to donate to. One Christmas we brought blankets to donate to homeless. We would drop the girls off for a Saturday evening and they would enjoy a night at the Ness'. And mom and dad would enjoy a Saturday night for us! I read the other review and thought about it quite a bit. But the review did not line up with my interview with Markell. Again, I'm glad I went with my gut and found this first rate daycare for my girls.
