Glad I didn't base my decision to get a Groupon for the Murder Mystery Dinner from the previous…read morereviews. Yikes! (TLDR: Come here for the fun, not the food.) Overall this was more like a 3.5 experience, but I rounded up since for the discounted voucher price I definitely think it was worth it for something fun to do on a Friday/Saturday night. The only thing I'd suggest is to come here with friends unless you want to end up in a large ballroom table for 12 with strangers. I went during a themed night so it was "Totally 80s" and guests were encouraged to dress the part. Suitably most of the demographic when I went was 35+. I'm thinking that if you want to be one of the "randomly" selected participants you have a higher chance if you're dressed up. We parked and checked in at the front entrance of the Sons of Italy venue and the company reserved the large Bella ballroom, which looks like it could be used for a wedding. I did not expect that there would be so many people, probably 150+! We were assigned to a table and escorted by one of the cast members. They have a cash bar with typical prices, I'm surprised they couldn't make me a Mai Tai though... The salad was already set for each spot so we started eating. From the napkins it looks like Fosanos Catering provided the food for the gig. I am hoping that you did not come here mainly for the food, because it's probably on par with a school cafeteria along with servers to ensure portion control. When we registered they gave us each a raffle voucher so they could make sure people were not getting second helpings of dinner, but that didn't stop some of the people from our table. They offered the typical dinner roll, chicken, pasta, meat balls, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans with what looked like canned cranberry sauce. On the side they also had a large sheet cake that was cut into pieces and some cookies. At each of the tables one of the Hosts picked someone to be a "Character/Suspect" for part of the murder mystery. We had a binder on our table that gave us information about the events and our characters motives. In this case we were at a Rock Concert and the person who had been killed was the Agent of the Rockstar during a soundcheck. There were various shady suspects such as ex-lovers, groupies an 8 year old girl, a doctor yada yada. The cast members were about 4 of them and I believe the rest of the 15 or so were all (lucky) participants chosen to be actors. The cast members set the scene and gave us hints along the way before breaking during 2 periods where we interviewed all of the suspects to extract clues to help us solve the murder. As a table we worked together and used the fake "Bribe $" with some suggestions for questions we could ask the suspects to get some additional clues. I felt bad for this poor table that got dragged on stage and had to perform to a song randomly with one of the actors. (Maybe that was the VIP circle hah!) Now the scenario and the clues weren't that tricky and they made sure to preface it was only one person. At the very end our table got everything correct including the murder and how s/he did it but we got no credit! -1 for no recognition when they went around giving out these novelty certificates to "The Best Actor", "Worst Answer", "Best Answer" etc... Oh well!

Restaurant was too crowded for interviewing suspects. I will not repeat. Too bad because the idea had merit but was not well executed.

Came here on opening day with the Yelp Squad. I. Was. A. Kid. In. A. Candy. Store. Everything was new. Everything was exciting. The shows may be generalized into aerobatic, aerial, and circus performances, with a twist. Live music accompanies most of them. Part of it reminded me of Fuerza Bruta. Part of it reminded me of the Once popular, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (without the animals). There are different bands that performs, a solo operatic singer, and meanwhile, creatures walking amongst while they perform. The second night I went (the night after the first), we had VIP seating and ate in the VIP section. The food was phenomenal. There was tacos, guac, Hors d'oeuvres of sashimi, shrimp, and steak. Endless champagne, beer, and wine. Private bathrooms. A gift bag at the end of the night. Parking closest to the gate. This was the first Cirque du Soleil and it got me hooked. I'm excited to see what the company will think of next.

She does not encourage students during lessons, but rather insults and embarrasses them with demeaning comments. Multiple students have complained about this treatment. There's an overall unfriendly atmosphere during milongas and lessons, especially if you are a newcomer. Also, the lessons and milongas are extremely expensive. You can have a much better experience at other places in the area and not have to spend so much money. There's too much emphasis on "business" and profit-making as opposed to creating a friendly, welcoming environment for dancers.

It wasn't a good sign when Anita who was walking in front of me, let the door close in my face and didn't even say Hi. Inside was nice and clean, music good, but not a friendly atmosphere. The other dancers knew each other and were not interested in dancing with new faces (me). It was more like a private party, I felt very uncomfortable, like I was intruding. I left after one hour and dance only one tango with a newcomer like myself. Unfortunately my experience was not good. I will never go back. Definitely not an Argentinean flavor in my view.

The staff are all friendly and happy to help. They offer a nice selection of snacks and drinks to purchase that you can bring into the theater. They also validate parking at the information desk after you scan your ticket. There's plenty of great restaurants nearby to have dinner at before an evening show - I try a new one each time I visit the ART. Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is a witty, tender, and wonderfully modern musical that had the audience laughing out loud, tearing up, and giving a well-earned standing ovation. The chemistry between Dougal (Sam Tutty) and Robin (Christiani Pitts) lit up the stage. Their performances were heartfelt and magnetic, the songs both catchy and moving, and the direction made the streets of NYC feel like they were unfolding right before us. A brilliant mix of humor, soul, and genuine emotion. Huge kudos to the entire cast and crew for such a standout show. Don't miss it--performances have been extended through July 13th! The entire staff, regardless of positions and destinations were simply welcoming and engaging. Encore!
