Some teachers are still not great people, they still lie, they're still human. Refusal to own your mistakes is the issue here. Penny and Dixie never resolved this issue for me. I wasted many hours of my working time chasing this issue down and I ended up with maybe half of what I was owed. I filed 26 claims and had further issues with my insurance who continued to not understand why the claims were not filed by the provider. Every other provider I've ever had figures out insurance. Penny's practice is not unique in these circumstances whatsoever. I've had all sorts of providers and insurances for over 20 years and never once had such a miserable experience. I hope next time you edit your response, you consider an apology.

I was looking for a psychiatrist for medication management. I had PTSD from a workplace shooting that took place in 2012, which I was taking Xanax to treat, and I have ADHD, which I had been taking Adderall to treat for the last 12 years. I was simply looking for a psychiatrist for medication management and had no interest or really hope to get off of my medications because I didn't think it was even possible. Firstly, Dr. Ghelber is so extremely kind and welcoming. I immediately felt at ease talking with her. She showed a genuine concern for my well being and was the first psychiatrist ever who didn't just write me a script and send me on my way. She took the time to develop a relationship with me and encouraged me to pursue things other than medication to help with my symptoms. When I was ready, she worked with me to develop a plan to wean me off of my medications. I am happy to say that because of her I was able to stop taking the Xanax and Adderall and have found other ways to manage my ADHD symptoms. I have also not had an PTSD symptoms. I thought I would be psychologically dependent on these medications forever, but she gave me the courage and confidence in myself to get off the meds. Anyone who has been dependent on those kind of drugs to function knows how scary it can be to think of what could happen if you stopped them. Dr. Ghelber took away that fear and I am so grateful that she helped me to start a new chapter in my life.

I don't believe I have ever been to this area before. The counseling center itself is on the 2nd floor. It is a little confusing to find from the street since the entry area sorta looks like it's a restaurant. But I stepped inside and read the list and saw that it was on the 2nd floor. I am absolutely in love with this place and I am so glad that I decided to go here!

Be very cautious about using this facility. They claim to restore lives, that may be the case if…read moreyou are suffering from minor issues, but they are not equipped to help someone who needs intensive counseling and help. Sure they will take all your money and say they are competent in handling your loved one, but they don't take insurance and it will break your bank. They will not listen to family members who live with the person on a daily basis, so instead of getting insight into what is happening in their home life, they just say we got this. Thousands of dollars later, it became clear were not equipped with adequate counselors that would use their education to see that something is really wrong and be transparent that the patient needs more intensive treatment than they can provide. I even reached out to the director and was emphatically told she had every confidence in her counselor and the path she was taking. My daughter attempted suicide after she was told to listen to her gut and she went back to an abusive drug addicted ex.
